I've tried every way recommended to kick start this labor. I'm 38 weeks & 3 days. I'm 4 centimeters dilated but can't go into labor, my cervix are still thick. How can I get them to thin out?

View 2 RepliesAt 38 weeks and 6 days I was checked yesterday for the first time. My doctor seemed so amazed at the fact that my son's head is all the way down but I wasn't too amazed at the horrible pain I had to endure for him to get to my cervix :( Basically my son's head is sitting in front of my cervix. I read stories on women having their cervix pulled to the front during labor and it sounds like it hurts worse than how I felt getting checked and childbirth put together.
Does anyone have either of these or know of someone who does and was able to go into labor naturally, were able to deliver vaginally? Or did it just end in an induction and C-section? If you did deliver vaginally were you able to get pregnant again without big complications? I have this and my doctor wants to induce because I am due tomorrow and I still haven't even softened, but I have a large chance even without inducing that I will have to have a C-section no matter. Every female on my mom's side has it and all had to have C-sections, except my mom who had my brother naturally and should not of and had to be artificially inseminated(sp) with my sister and I because she was not able to get pregnant on her own after.
View 5 RepliesI just had my 38 week appointment and my doctor said that I'm 1 Centimeter dilated and my cervix is soft . Most people are upset when they are this far but only 1cm dilated but I'm really happy ! I'm a first time young mom and think that I've really progressed . Last week I wasn't dilated at all . Does this mean I could go into labor before my due date ?

View 5 RepliesSo I'm 37 +6 and yesterday and today I've been having this pinching feeling what feels like on the inside of my vagina and it gets worse when I walk but if I lay down it goes away for the most part. Like it got so bad a few times It stopped me dead in my tracks but idk what it is. I do have a short cervix btw
View 2 RepliesLong story short I am miserable and ended up in labor and delivery last night at 38 and 4 due to being light headed dizzy nauseous and seeing spots. They checked me and the nurse said my cervix was "extremely posterior" but didn't explain anything about what this could mean. Apparently I am only 1cm dilated and 70% effaced as well. Anyone else been told this or know what it means? Am I not going to be able to go into labor on my own?

And also iv been having pressure in my bottom and my lower back is really sore like a dull pain... Could this be labour starting soon? Did this happen to anyone else?

I have suffered from gout for many years often in big toe on either foot, eventually in most joints to the point of swelling and deformity of joints.
Now it has been named as TOFI which is uric crystals forming as lumps on joints on my fingers, toes , knuckles of hand
I have as many as seven lumps formed on one toe all around toe joint, now it has formed an abscess oozing a thick white mucus now with a gaping oozing hole,this is also happening on another toe.
Went to my doc told me it is tofi I know that, then I saw another locum doc to ask for referral to consultant told NO
take antibiotics finished course to no difference at all in desperation went to a podiatrist she is so shocked to see the state my toes are in and put a dressing on them with a urgent referral to my own doc my condition is so bad now that it has been mentioned I will need amputation.
I am really nervous. I am having my 1st routine colonoscopy on Tuesday (I'm 50 years old) and I'm really nervous.
Colon cancer does not run in my family.
My stools are in all shapes and sizes. (fat, thin, big, small, flat, round, balls and watery). Sorry to be gross. This morning, my stools were somewhat big but I noticed 1 was semi flat. Twice today after eating, I had diarrhea.
Can nervous make you have diarrhea?
With colon cancer, will the stools always be thin or flat? Sometimes I have healthy stools but other times, my stools are small and thin. Never blood. Sometimes, it's yellow but then it's back to brown.
I don't eat well and I certainly don't get enough fiber in my diet but if (hopefully) my colonoscopy comes back normal, I will eat more fruit and veg and exercise.
I don't have any pain but I know I have a sludge in my gallbladder but for the last few days, I've been having pain which I think is all in my head and my nerves.
Could somebody please let me know what you think. Could it all be my diet and nerves?
Just back from an eye appt and was told that my (L) optic nerve is thinning and my field vision test was normal.
I have not had any loss of vision or blurriness other than the blurriness that comes with my migraines. Is it possible to have optic neuritis w/o it affecting your vision?
I have to wait until 7/19 to see my neuro, so I am still waiting to be diagnosed, however, the news I was given this morning makes me lean more towards MS.
For the longest time, I've been itching down there, My discharge is white, sometimes clumpy, and sometimes thin and clear..
The smell is really bad, but it doesn't smell like fish, it just smells musty and sometimes sweet? and recently i found like white stuff in between the lips of my vagina.. sorry if that sounds gross!
I can't really go to the doctor because I don't really feel comfortable with them looking at me.. so is there anything I can do about this at home?
