I had my membrane sweep today and ever since I've been having irregular tightenings and period type pains and have been bleeding but blood is dark brown? Im 40 weeks 5 days
View 5 RepliesI am 38 weeks and have been having pain and tightenings for about a week some intense and all over back buttocks and lower abdomen some mild like period pains. Have been reading forums online and people have gone into their birth centre with no contractions.
View 2 RepliesIm 39+6 and had a sweep this morning. Turns out at my sweep I was already 3cm dilated.
Midwife has said just go home and see what happens but could still be a few days until anything happens.
Since getting home I've had constant cramps. Is this the start of it all?
Has anyone had a similar experience? Or after having a sweep how long until you went into labour?
I had the sweep yesterday and this morning when I went to the toilet I noticed like a clear blob of jelly. I'm getting cramping in my belly and legs.. could this be it? I'm 39+3

View 5 RepliesI am 37 weeks and 2 days. I went to my doctor Thursday and was 2cm dilated and she could feel my baby's head. I'm a first time mom, so I don't know what to expect. I think I lost my mucous plug yesterday and now keep having brownish colored blood on my panty liner. Should I call my doctor? Is labour very soon? I also have contractions sporadically and back lower back pain.
View 3 RepliesI'm 37 and 1 day and for about 3 weeks iv had pressure in my cervix but not bad pressure, now it's starting to hurt and feels like her head is coming out! And also iv been having pressure in my bottom and my lower back is really sore like a dull pain... Could this be labour starting soon? Did this happen to anyone else?

View 2 RepliesI'm 38 weeks and I went for a very long walk today 10 blocks and I had to quit on my way back home cause my tummy n vagina were hurting , I was having rank pain when I got home it was so bad I was crying it stopped now I'm having pains every 20 mins and burning feeling in my vagina this is my 3rd pregnancy and with my two others my water broke then had to get the Labour started for me. Just wondering if anyone else had Labour start like this ??
View 1 RepliesI have been having irregular bleeding twice a month and very heavy too though i am on primolut N tablets as given by the doctor. Even on tablets i am bleeding. My doctor has done all ultrasounds,a through internal checkup and given me all ok but i still bleed.
View 1 Replies26 yr old female having problems with my menses from past 5 yrs. I get my periods on time about every month on the same date or around the last menstrual date . But the bleeding has declined a lot. My periods only stay for 2 days and stop after the 2nd day. I have minor spotting for 4-5 days after my periods and it's brown in color. About 3 years ago i got an ultrasound done of my ovaries because i was concerned about the changes in my periods and on the report it was mentioned that i have small follicles in my left ovary and the size of my ovary has increased. Ever since that I didn't get any check up done or didn't consultant with the ob-gyn I had to trouble back to US because I was in India for my education purposes. Then I got busy with work didn't pay much attention. From last year I have had a lot of acne on my face,neck,chest,and back..severe dandruff that won't go away with medicated shampoos..hair loss and hair gotten thinner, gaining weight..gained about 7 kgs in a few months . Although I have been working out once or twice a week or sometimes 3-4 times a week and good control on my diet yet no signs of weight loss. I started having facial hair especially on the sides on my face, mustache , and bit hair around nipples. I currently don't have any insurance and I am unemployed. But I am trying to work on the insurance..hopefully i get it soon. Please review my symptoms...somewhere I think It's PCOS. I have been feeling really stressed from few years and having a lot of mood swings too..feeling irritated and depressed most of the times.

I had little bleeding and later a little clotted blood too. after the clotted blood I felt relieved of the pain. then sometimes I will see stains of blood in my pant for some days. After some weeks I started feeling cold in my feet, feel irritated and also feeling as if something is standing in my throat but not painful but am inconvenient with it. could it be that am still pregnant or what could be happening please. And now I started having slight light brown virginal discharge. I want to know what's happening please.

The bleeding has been going on for 4 days now and my cramping started tonight but it's a very sharp constant cramping. Nothing like my period cramps.
There are many websites but non explain on bleeding, cramping but no blood clots... Am I or am I not having a missed miscarriage?
My doctor gave me an apt for 2 weeks from today!!! He knows about the bleeding however not the painful cramping since it started late tonight...
I'm a ftm n 40 w pregnant, i've been having sex regularly with my husband to induce labour. R8 after, I get these painful period like cramps n back pain, it goes on for a few hrs but then fades away and is completely gone, this has been going on for 3 days. Could my cervix be widening? View 1 RepliesDid anyone feel really rubbish before going into labour? I'm 40+6 and started feeling awful a few hours ago. I managed some sleep but am pretty achy (period pain like) and just generally feel terrible (exhausted/flu like) but have had no good contractions. This is my 4th baby, but I don't remember ever feeling rubbish beforehand.
