I never had any rashes or blisters, but I have had stinging, very tiny feelings that feel like an itch under my skin lately across my back in the middle and waistline. I had the brush burn feeling on my shoulder and under my left arm with jabbing pain in my left breast. But that is pretty much gone. I had taken Acyclovir for 10 days early on, so are the Shingles moving around under my skin in other places?

The rashes are prominently on the face, some of them are on the arms, torso, and waist area. She also has fever, bodyache, and physical weakness. I have not consulted a doctor yet due to certain religious beliefs of my family, related to this disease. Is it Chicken Pox or something else?

After being bitten a blister appears on the skin at the site of the bite after a couple of days, followed by new blisters forming around this bite site a further few days later. Skin appears red and site is painful, blisters are about 1cm in diameter and half a cm in height, newly formed blisters appear much smaller. This insect bite would have been contracted in a central American country such as Guatemala.

At first they were flat and then some of them became raised and others have developed into blisters. I must admit that I have never heard of a rash that is appearing on the palms. How is it possible?

Is this likely to get worse ? or is there a very mild type of hsp she may have ?

its a rash that's just really annoying. and sometimes it gets so much and when i scratch one area, all other areas begin to itch... and it gets really painful.. im definitely sure its not std bcos i've never had sex.

View 1 RepliesI noticed this few days ago and started applying Lamisil, assuming its a a fungal infection, it has been 3 days but no change in the infected area. It's not painful and occasionally itchy but not too bad. I shower regularly and never had this issue before. I am married and have only 1 sex partner, my wife had fungal infection as well after our last intercourse. Does Lamisil work for this kind of fungal infection or do i need to go to the doctor or wait few more days to see impact of Lamisil?

The Gout cleared up, I think, but both ankles and lower legs, have itchy rashes, and skin discoloration. It seems to be spreading up the legs. I have seen my Doctor, but have to wait three months for a specialist appointment. Has anyone else, encountered these circumstances?

View 4 RepliesI have had visible blood in my urine, and some stinging pain while passing. I went to the Doctor who said it's probably an infection, gave me some antibiotics and it should go in a few days.
Well, I took the antibiotics and the bleeding went within 24 hours and the pain when urinating was virtually gone a couple of days later.
However, the results of the urine test stated there was no infection so I have been told I will have to have further tests, cystoscopy and ct scan on my kidneys etc.
My first worry is that it is cancer, I'm a 44 year old male, and a close friend (who is 55) has bladder cancer so as you can imagine I am in pieces at the moment, not knowing what to expect.
Doctor was quite abrupt on the phone, simply saying it would be unusual in a man of my age and that it could be a kidney stone (I have no symptoms, perhaps a ache in my back, but not sure if that is now psychosomatic) or a burst blood vessel in my bladder.
Any just looking for some reassurance, and to take my mind of the worst outcomes which is all I can currently think about.
I noticed yesterday that I had a stinging, burning sensation when my penis brushed against my boxers. Ouch!! When I checked it out the entire foreskin was red, inflamed and very sensitive. Not only that, but the glans is also red and sensitive to touch. I have a visible band around the head where the foreskin covers. Any advice fellas? Any OTC medications that work? When i pee'd it stung really badly, i got home and took a shower and it was fine after that, and stopped burning when i peed. Now today the pain is back and my foreskin looks really swollen, it burns a lot to pee, the tip of the penis hurts when it touches clothing but if it doesn't its fine.
View 2 RepliesEarlier this year, I noticed I was blinking a lot more than usual but it wasn't having any negative impact. In the summer I noticed the blinking getting worse and then I went to the optician who said I had moderate dry eye disease. She recommended lubricating drops. Nothing was improving and I went to another optician who said I had Blepharitis. He recommended a warm eye pad and regular cleaning of my lids. This hasn't improved things either. I went to my GP who confirmed the blep and put me on a 4 week course of Doxycycline. I've been on them 3 weeks and guess what, no improvement! It's affecting me quite negatively, have to wear my glasses all the time (previous wearer of lenses for 14 years with no problems). I'm not wearing eye makeup either in case it exacerbates my symptoms. I hate not being able to look groomed, sorry if that's shallow! I'm interested to read that it could be a candida overgrowth, I have suffered fungal infections before. I eat quite well, but suspect there might be a little to much sugar (alcohol etc). My eyelids looks a little red and slightly swollen, my eyes constantly look tired and a little bloodshot, this is worse during the week when I am working at a screen. Any advice at all? I am trying to eat more Omega 3 in my diet as well because I've read this might help. I suspect if it is candida that the antibiotic will be making me worse!
View 133 RepliesHello! I am a 34 year old woman who has just been diagnosed with shingles. I have had them for about a week and am quite uncomfortable, but not miserable. I have had some stomach pains for a few days that I believe are associated.
One problem I have is in all the information on the net and from doctors they stress the point "you can NOT get shingles from someone with shingles"... well, I disagree. My mother is a non-hodgkin's lymphoma patient who was diagnosed with shingles about two weeks ago. I live by her and help her and I find it hard to believe my shingles didn't come from being exposed to her!

I've just been diagnosed with Shingles. I have been told you can't get Shingles from Shingles, only chicken pox from shingles. But I am the third person in work in a week to come down with Shingles. If you can't get Shingles from shingles, how come so many people in work have it?

the operation was ok and suffered tolerable discomfort for a few weeks.
About 3 months after the operation I had an infection in my testicles, cleared up by antibiotics. The doctor said it was not connected to the vasectomy which I found difficult to believe given I had never had a problem previously.
Six months later and I have been getting swelling in the area below the pubic hair, intermittently soreness, stinging, aching, lancing pain usually when I move about. It is alleviated quite quickly by lying down, hot water bottle on the area. The doc said unconnected to the vasectomy again but when pressed is conceding could be scar tissue?
For the past couple months I experience sharp, stinging (or maybe burning) pain in my calf, usually right leg but sometimes left too.
I've been walking long distances my whole life and never had cramps before. Been doing some reading and so far symptoms fits cramps.
I have lately been walking really long distances on occasion.
I have the pain happening at night. I wake up with badly aching leg (calf muscle) and need some time time for it to lessen, sometimes I fall asleep seconds later and when I wake up the muscle is stiff and painful. It's also bit painful/sensitive at touch on other days too.
I had a TKR on 18 Feb, so I am about ten weeks in, the pain is still bad, it's a sharp stinging pain, not what I imagined at all. IS it normal to get this much pain, this far in ?
