There is a black mark in the middle console near the cd player. I don't recall how it got there, but if this is a scuff mark that I can rub off, or if it is the paint or something below and the silver area was rubbed off.
View 8 RepliesHow to repair some scratches in the center console on an IS F? The scratches are in the vertical black plastic section of the center console. I stupidly scratched it one day I needed to take the driver seat out, when I was putting the seat back in the car. The scratches are basically where the buckle for the seat belt is (to the right of your right leg, if you're the driver.)
View 6 RepliesMy wife's Hyundai has the check engine light on and the engine temperature is staying right in the middle no matter the temperature outside, or if the car has been sitting an hour or over night. We're still under warranty, but are stretched for time in the coming week to stop by the dealer. I'm assuming it's a temperature sensor malfunctioning and the computer is throwing a code for that. Would this affect normal operation of the car until we can get it checked out?

View 2 RepliesI'm trying to remove the middle console vent cover to install a kuda mount. It says to pry a bit with plastic tools right to the right of the vent between the plastic and the leather/pleather. Getting nervous and don't want to crack the cover or damage anything.

Before I dump a gallon of wd-40 on this puppy, is there any remedy for this? It makes a little annoying squeak.
My first initial thought is to lightly lubricate the hinge that makes it go up and down.

View 9 RepliesGot an 03 f250 supercab, and looking to get rid of the old front bench seat for 2 regular front seats and installing a big middle console, will this be kinda hard? I got in my truck now the driver seat is seperate from the 2 seater bench seat and it has the flip down middle console to where you can flip it up for somebody to sit in the middle or flip it down for the cup holders etc.. I want to get rid of that and just have the 2 front seats and an big middle console. I think some of the 1998-2003 f150 come with this set up

View 27 RepliesI have had my manual 2014 four months now and still can't get used to the fact, that to engage reverse you have to move the stickshift FORWARD into the same spot as first gear. I have had a half dozen near wrecks because of this.
View 5 RepliesHID's in your fog lights, any burn marks or anything of that sort. I have had HID's in my fogs for 7months or so and last week I stared noticing a burn mark on both fog lights. Now I do have film on the housing so I first thought that maybe it was the film burning up and not the fog lens. I'm asking because I can have my film replaced for free, I just have to send in some photos to prove it. But before I do that I wanted to make sure that it was the film that got burned 100% and not the fog light lens in case I needed that replaced also. I kinda don't want to take off the film just to see if its the lens or film.

Do all of the Accents have an issue with the steering wheel not returning to center but staying slightly off center? I like the steering overall, but this really throws me. Should I see if the dealer can check its alignment? I like how it feels in corners, but going straight is much worse than I thought it was from the test drives I did....
My car is a manual and for now I have been curious to see how the eco pro mode suggests I shift. It never registers that I am in 4th gear and will keep telling me to be in 4th until I have accelerated enough to get to 5th (or 6th). Does this sound like something might be broken? Would it not registering 4th gear have any effect on anything else in the car?
How long do these stock tires tend to last? I'm not in any rush to spend money on new tires, but these stock ones are... good at some things and bad at others.
I am liking the reported MPGs on it so far. I reset it far too often just to see how different trips are reported. My worst one so far was a 13 miles trip on streets going over a 700 foot hill twice. I still got 32mpg reported.

I'm having a problem with MP3/CD Player that came along with the car, i.e. I didn't install it myself. Basically, after I inserted CD, I can't eject it back, nor can I switch in CD mode, by pressing CD button.
It looks like it jammed inside. Is there any way to work around and retrieve the disk, or the player must be disassembled for this?
CD didn't have defects or scratches, the surface is ideal.
I have rpm stalls then comes back every 2 seconds at idle After one hour driving . Whitout any error code and no check engine . I checked all the sensors and even changed alternator and throttle body completely. No I suspect to crankshaft position sensor .

The noise stops when the door is closed. It happens only with the driver's door. This a company car and I checked the others ~ 15. None behaves the same. View 2 RepliesI just bought a 7th Gen Camry 2012 model in Muscat, Oman and the maps included are those of Navteq but from February 2011. Which means the map is now 2 years old now and most of the roads, intersections have changed. A new expressway inaugurated two years back is totally absent. It often tells me to turn right on the top of an overpass and leads me to blind alleys and non-existent turns.
Toyota does not have an update for the Middle east maps even though Navteq has the update in their own GPS devices.I want to try updating the maps manually using the NAVTEQ updated maps and POI by accessing the HDD of the inbuilt player. How to access the HDD?
My coolant was right below the low mark (it was right above 1k miles ago so it has a slight leak, but haven't checked the bottom core yet, most likely its leaking there?) so overnight it sat and in the morning ive filled it to the high mark and upon starting and warming up the engine the coolant went back to right below low. It doesn't look like its leaking at least not anywhere that fast, is this normal? I gotta check later again while car warmed up etc to check level, but how can the coolant go from being at the high mark to right below the low mark?
Regardless the radiator had previously been repaird by the lexus dealership for leaks, where it should've been replaced. Luckily lexus said they will take a look and replace, but Id rather not go through the dealership.
My maintenance light started flashing @ the 4500 mile mark so I checked the oil and was half a qt low. I was a bit surprised. I was not at any type of incline and I drive pretty light. Def don't drive hard. Normal or no?
