02 Camry, how to I remove the burnt license plate bulb? Took off the underside trunk carpet and disconnected bulb harness, but I don't know how to remove the plastic piece that holds the bulb in place. Does it pull out, or twist out? I don't want to break it!

View 4 RepliesI have an intermittent error that comes on most of the time I have my headlights on, but sometimes goes off and comes back while I am driving. It shows me the bulb out light, and says on the screen "Number plate Check license plate lighting!" I have never touched the oem factory bulbs on the license plates, and if i get out and look at the plate, both lights are on over the plate.
The only change I have made was about a year ago, I installed an LED bulb in the trunk, and ran a second OEM trunk light in the left side and installed an LED bulb in that too, tee'd off the factory trunk light housing. But like I said, that was 1 year and 30,000 miles ago, and my bulb our error for the license plate has only just started, so I doubt they are related.
Replacing license plate bulb on a 3rd gen rx? I tried taking off the interior lining on the rear hatch but no luck. There's access covers for taillight & reverse, but none for license plate light. I also tried "popping" out the plate light cover right above the license plate... don't think they are designed to be popped out.

View 3 RepliesI found some threads about changing the license plate light on a 2009 Hyundai Accent and all of them involved removing the plastic trim inside of the hatch. However, I saw a few people mention that they broke a few plastic clips. I want to prevent breaking any clips.
Also, this ( hyundai-forums.com/184-mc-2006-2011-accent/94825-2009-accent-replacement-bulbs.html ) thread says that the replacement lights for the license plate are 168 or 168LL, but other posters say that they replaced them with white lights. What code are they?
I have a 2002 Camry LE V6 (Made in Japan) and wanted to replace the glove box bulb. The manual does not mention how to change it and the local dealership was not sure on how to do it. What is involved in it and what size bulb is needed?
View 1 RepliesWhere the license plate lights get thir power from? I have a 2002 SC430 and the plug is just dangling. It goes behind the plate and then if I look under the car, it is just there by the bumper and I cannot find a connector that it can reach.
View 3 RepliesMounting front license plate somewhere other than the "official" mounting location? I don't like the thought of putting holes in my front bumper. I can move it down a bit such that the holes are in the bumper just above the air opening. So, they would be less noticeable. This would block some of the airflow through the lower opening. But, unless I'm driving in 100+ deg temps, it probably won't matter.
I could also offset it to the right or left in the lower opening.
where to get it? I want to plug up my bumper holes and just put the plate on the tow hook.

Am I correct in assuming I have to pull back the carpet, then remove 2 nuts/washers, and then remove the taillight lens/housing to replace the bulb? Any recommendations on bulb or just stay with OEM? My R32 has 88K+ miles and this is the first bulb to go...

I have a 2013 Camry SE and I am experiencing the annoying license plate rattle at the back of the car whenever I shut the trunk or drive over bumps. It's really getting to me as of late?

I know this might not seem important but everytime I slam my trunk the license plate is making contact with the rear so it makes that rattle noise everytime I close it. It's annoying because sometimes I just want to close my trunk without being noticed. Toyota should've made two more holes at the bottom of the plate so this wouldn't happen.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2003 W8 wagon and my front turn signal bulb went out. I need to replace it, but am having some problems. I removed the high beam cover to get to the turn signal socket, but I am having problem removing the socket. I was able to turn the socket slightly and was hoping I could just pull it back, unfortunately it doesn't seem to want to move. Is there a trick to remove the turn signal socket so I can remove the bulb? I don't want to force anything in fear of breaking something. there has to be a way.

View 2 RepliesI just replaced a burnt out tail/brake lightbulb and found that I had sockets for 5 lights yet only 3 were filled....two were empty. How could this have happened and shouldnt they all be filled? I replaced the blown one but I feel like I should get 2 more per side to make it a full housing. I also am not certain what kind I need . The turn signal bulbs are fine....it's just the tail/brake light bulbs. Why were they not filled? 2002 V6 Passat.

View 3 RepliesSo I bought LED license plate lights, the same ones Track5tar has (who sent me the link to get them). I got em off the bay, and I put them in and they don't work! The Heatsink gets hot but the lights don't light up in both of them!
