Passat (B5) :: How To Remove Front Turn Signal Socket To Replace Bulb

I have a 2003 W8 wagon and my front turn signal bulb went out. I need to replace it, but am having some problems. I removed the high beam cover to get to the turn signal socket, but I am having problem removing the socket. I was able to turn the socket slightly and was hoping I could just pull it back, unfortunately it doesn't seem to want to move. Is there a trick to remove the turn signal socket so I can remove the bulb? I don't want to force anything in fear of breaking something. there has to be a way.

Thinking about getting a used Camry. Is there any issues with any of the years in the seventh generation Camry? What are some of your likes and dislikes of your car? For example I have been told that on the sixth generation Camry you have to remove the bumper to change the turn signal bulb. I have never had to deal with this, just what I have been told.

So I had to replace a front ten signal bulb the other day and with almost no pressure, one of the small plastic tabs on the bulb socket broke off when I was trying to seat the new bulb into the headlight housing. The plastic socket looks like it's own piece that's removable from the wiring harness, but my dealer tells me it comes as a kit with the whole headlight housing and I'd have to replace the whole thing.

I have a 2001 new passat glx 4 motion, the front blinker bulb on the passenger side went out due to a hit-n-run, I went to a body shop and the ppl there said they need to take the frot bumper and the headlight out to reach the blinker bulb, and it requires about 1 hour on labor which means 90 bucks, that sounds pretty expensive for just a dead bulb.

Got the light bulb symbol in the tach this afternoon. After checking it out, the LR inner bulb seems to be out. Am I correct in assuming I have to pull back the carpet, then remove 2 nuts/washers, and then remove the taillight lens/housing to replace the bulb? Any recommendations on bulb or just stay with OEM? I was changing standard halogen headlight bulbs last night and as I was getting the drivers side bulb out the metal part came off with the bulb and I noticed the black plastic part of the socket was partially melted. Sketchy. Far as I know these bulbs have never been changed I bought the car w 3500 miles back in 06. Is there anything I should do besides replacing the melted socket? My 2002 B5.5 Variant received some "tough love" in a parking lot recently, with the result that one of the front marker lights (in the fender ahead of the front wheel, on the side) was broken. I see that I can push on the light housing and it'll move in a bit, but how can I remove the cover (the colored plastic bit) entirely to replace it with a new, not-busted one?

02 Camry, how to I remove the burnt license plate bulb? Took off the underside trunk carpet and disconnected bulb harness, but I don't know how to remove the plastic piece that holds the bulb in place. Does it pull out, or twist out? I don't want to break it!

My left front turn signal stopped working. Rear turn and mirror light both work normally. Checked the socket and it is clean. Switched bulbs with right side to confirm. This one is driving me crazy and I don't want to spend a fortune at the stealer to fix it.

My T-rex was in recently for what seemed like 30 recalls... In the midst of it...my turn signal light bulb went out. They changed it...good thing cause you need to remove the ENTIRE headlight assembly with a special tool, etc. Well...my headlight now goes on/off as it hits bumps etc...was back in once to have it fixed...and has since started again. I noticed the entire assembly does not fit as well (tight) as it did originally, nor like the other assembly that has never been touched. Appears to have been the first assembly they have worked on and broke something cause now it does not mount properly...so after all that...

Just bought a 2005 accent yesterday. I new the bulb was gone, when I lifted the bottom noticed that the battery is so close to the lights I can't get my hand down there. Do I need to remove my battery to replace this bulb? Also what is the model # of the bulb?
