I have a 2002 Camry with an A/C problem. When I turn on the A/C, the A/C light flashes and the compressor does not spin. I have check the following:
1. The compressor is fully functional when I feed power to it.
2. The A/C fuse, 10A, is functional.
3. The Mag CLT relay is functional.
4. The cabin filter is new.
5. There is enough refrigerant.
I now have a 2002 Camry and the left rear turn signal has stopped working. When I put the signal on, it flashes about twice as fast inside and in the front, but nothing in the back. I replaced the bulb but it still didn't work. I'm going to switch the bulb here with the right one and see if it's still good just to be sure. Anyway, the rear left flasher doesn't work either. I've had turn signals be fuse related before but not when it's just one signal that's not working. Live in the city and driving without it is no good.
View 5 RepliesI bought my 2015 XLE May 20. I remember seeing in the vehicle setup a place to set the number of flashes of the turn signal when changing lanes, but now I cannot seem to find it. Where it is, or is it gone with the latest update?
View 13 RepliesJust to start off im new to the camry family.I have a 2007 camry se. Well the the problem I am having is when i make a sharp turn or hit on the brakes hard my oil light flashes. Didn't know if this is a big problem or something small. the light flashes and goes rite back off.
View 14 RepliesMy friends 02 Camry A/C light is flashing. A/C compressor is not coming on. About a month ago I replaced the MG A/C relay with a Napa relay and cleaned out the cabin filter to fix same concern.
It appears the relay is bad again. Are the OEM relays recommended over the aftermarkets relays for this concern or am I overlooking something else.
I have charged system 134 ... Compressor works at start up until warm, then light flashes and compressor disengages. No noise and gets cold until motor gets heated.
View 5 RepliesSingle air compressor pressure switch issue. New switch installed still same problem. When hot outside (90) compressor will turn off for several minutes then turn on. System blows cold when running with pressure 35/190. If I jump the pressure switch on the accumulator it runs full time fine no issues. Connect the switch and it will drop out while still running 35/190.
View 2 RepliesOk so I have another issue. This is one of three right now. Had the truck flat bedded home due to a seized rear caliper. Carrier bearing is causing vibration, will replace that this weekend. My question is does the ac compressor spin even if the ac or heat isn't on? Mine wasn't spinning today when the truck was idling. Should it always spin and just not be "engaged " my ect was quite high too but I thought that was due to the locked up brake.
View 14 RepliesOn my '92, 302, I have a failing compressor. It is "catching" after 1 - 3 turns. The clutch doesn't want to spin freely, not cooling well at idle and local shop advised me to get a new everything, if I want it to last.
My question is if I can pull a compressor from the JY, from same year/model, replace orifice tube, run a cleaner thru, evacuate the system, and fill with appropriate refrigerant. The reason I'm not doing the full repair with new compressor, new condenser, new drier, is I'm going to be pulling the engine at some point with a newly rebuilt engine I'm working on. I know the old system have R-12, but isn't there a way to just get by with the 134 retrokit's?
2002 Honda crv air compressor won't turn on. Fan relay was bad; fan turned on when relay bypassed but compressor still won't turn on.
View 4 RepliesI am having trouble with my air conditioning system in my 1996 Chevy Lumina. When I turn on the AC, the compressor clutch does not engage and the fans do not spin. I was able to jump the compressor so the clutch engaged, however, the fans still did not spin and the AC was not cold. I then jumped the low pressure cycling switch (near the accumulator), which caused the fans to spin while the compressor was running. However, this still did not produce cold air from the AC and none of the AC lines were cold to the touch. I am starting to think the system is low on Freon, but I do not have gauges to test the pressure.

View 9 Replies2011 Camry LE .... My car has some 85,000 miles and generally runs very good. Recently the maintenance light flashes. The flashing does not occur when the car is started but some times 30 sec later.
If it were the standard "change your oil" reminder, it would come on and stay on--I'm very familiar with that.
This situation it comes on after the car is running (even driving) and flashes for 5-10 times and disappears.
When the cruise light flashes the engine ideals at a lower RPM. Usually not a big deal, but when I'm in reverse the car will often stall out. The flashing light comes and goes without apparent cause.
View 8 RepliesSo I was driving home today, I had some issues a couple of weeks ago with it stalling in the rain, it was raining today. As I was driving, the truck dies and won't restart. It wasn't like it stalled, it was almost like someone shut it off. Then it wouldn't restart, and there is a clicking sound under the dash. I tried the battery pull and nothing. Ended up having it towed home.
View 7 RepliesMy 2002 Jetta GLS 2.0 is misfiring only when it rains out. I go to start the car and the car idles extremely rough and seems like it wants to die. I checked out the codes for the check engine light and I got misfire codes p0304 and p0300. Which is a general misfire detected, and misfire on cylinder 4. I noticed that when I misted the alternator during the day around 70 degrees with the car running the car would misfire and almost die out. I know you are not supposed to get the alternator wet, but keep in mind i did not soak it I misted water on it. I misted the coil pack and nothing happened. I replaced the spark plugs and wires a few days ago. But as soon as it rains my car does not idle right and the check engine light flashes.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2009 Camry LE and I just got oem 2010 SE wheels for it. Upon start up, the TPMS light flashes for a minute then goes steady and stays on.
I know there is a reset switch in the glovebox but would that fix it? I went from 16" steel wheels w/ hubcaps to 17" oem SE wheels.
While driving into work today I noticed that when I turn the exhaust brake on the light flashes 4 times and turns back off. This definitely does not seem normal but it is cold outside. Could it being 9* have anything to do with this?
View 11 RepliesOk, I have a strange no start issue right now. My excursion won't start. I have power to everything and both batteries are at 12 volts or a bit more but the starter won't engage. If you turn the key to start all that happens is relays click under the dash and the airbag light flashes. It almost seems like the transmission is in gear. It did this twice about a month ago and has been fine ever since until today.

View 3 RepliesI have a problem with my A/C Compressor. The other day while going down the freeway my belt started squealing for a few seconds then stopped. Yesterday when my wife was driving it did it again, and then another time while at idle and the engine struggled and almost died.
I went to look at it last night thinking maybe the belt was loose, but what i found was when the A/C Tried to engage, you here the click, and you see the compressor clutch jolt but not spin. It tries to engage 3-4 times before the system stops and the ac light blinks. Also found some burnt belt on the clutch pully. To me it sounds like the Compressor is locked up or frozen somehow inside.
My first instinct is to get a new compressor. Ive done a bit of mechanic work but not much on A/C. If i replace the compressor, do i just have a shop vac it out, replace, and recharge? car has 150,000 miles, do i need to replace any other components? 2002 V6 Camry....
