I have a 2007 Toyota Camry LS that says check vsc system. The check engine light, vsc and trac lights are all three are on. That is a concern but another big concern is that is sometimes runs sluggish and acts likes it wants to stall. ?
View 7 RepliesVehicle is a 2003 SLE 3.0 L 1MZ-FE V6 Automatic. Problem: Check Engine Light on & TRAC Off Light on. AutoZone diagnostic produced three codes, P0155, all referring to Bank 2 Sensor 1. Was told downstream however after ordering matching DENSO part and then taking said part to a mechanic to install, mechanic tells me AutoZone diagnostic was incorrect. His diagnostic was telling him the malfunctioning O2 sensor was upstream, not downstream. Yet he did not tell me if it was left or right bank. He told me to find out from AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts?.I just want to make sure I get the right 02 sensor so I don't have to go through having the incorrect part installed again then removed just so I can return it to get the correct part. I've been told my car has three sensors, two up front, one underneath. I am aware it is best to get DENSO over Bosch.

View 4 RepliesTonight, during a short ride, all the sudden the VSC TRAC, VSC OFF and Check Engine came on. Atfter home, I got the P0057 code from a OBDII scanner. The P0057 code indicates O2 sensor on bank 2 lower sensor. However, the interesting thing is I also lost the power seat adjustment on the seat memory. When I switched between L1 and L2 , the mirrors and the steering position changes and the seat did not. However, the adjustment buttons on the seat itself work correctly. I wonder if this problem associates with P0057?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2001 toyota 4runner 6-cylinder 3.4L engine with about 197xxx miles on it. I just took it in for an oil change a few weeks ago and when they checked all the other fluids in the truck they said the coolant seems sludgy and dark. Also the check engine light and vsc trac and vsc off lights came on, a week or so before the oil change. I'm pretty mechanically inclined and do almost all my work myself with the limit of the tools i have, but i can't seem to figure out what is causing this.

View 3 Replies2012 Corolla S with 84000 miles, for the last month the check engine and trac off light keeps coming on randomly. I disconnect the negative battery charge and wait 10min and reconnect and it goes away. I havnt counted how many miles I go until the light come back on. But since the last time I disconnected the battery my car has been on for 8hours on the engine time. I had them scan it at autozone and the car is throwing two codes one was the MAF and I can't recall the other.

View 5 RepliesI've had this 2003 XLE v6 for several days. Just got new rear tires, to match the almost new fronts.
Drove fine for about 100 miles. Then my conscience told me to get an alignment. I got in the car after the alignment and the VSC and TRAC OFF lights were on. I went back in and got the "they were on when we drove it in" song.
After pressing the trac button several times, the VSC went off, then the TRAC OFF when out. "Oh well" maybe he was not BSing me, so I drive off. Came back on within a couple hundred feet.
Now, it seems they go off right after starting the engine, with all the others, but will come on almost as soon as I drive off. If I just sit there idling, does not seem to come back on.
I should add they also told me the cabin air filter was filthy and had to wait while the put it back in when I declined. After all, I can get it way cheaper, etc. I mention because I have seen some comments about this happening in some models after changing that filter.
So, what did the do? Or what can I do?
03 xle 3.0. Recent motor mounts, front lower control arms, LR bearing. All good. Raining. Driving around all good. Stopped for several hours, started up, immediately brake vsc, trac, abs came on. Stopped to get a sandwich, started up again, all are out. Car seems fine otherwise.

This happened recently: Had low air pressure on rear driver's side tire. Gave it air and it's good now.
The lights still won't turn off. I took it to a mechanic, he checked on the computer, but found no codes. I told him about the deal with the tire and he said that the system might need to be reset or re-calibrated because the stability control probably detected one of the tires had some abnormal movement by hitting a bump or maybe because of the low tire pressure, etc.
How do I reset/re-calibrate or do whatever to turn these lights off?
2003 Camry xle 3.0 auto. VSC and trac off lights came on after I plugged in an obdc II checker. A 30 dollar red one.
This happened once before when I had a wheel alignment done but kept pestering the shop till they fixed it.
This time, I had the rr jacked up to look for source of noise and plugged this in, just for chuckles. No chuckles now.
I did find a write up on how to turn it off with some paper clips and fancy finger work and will give it a go.
But, is this going to happen every time I plug in a tester?
My wife started her 2010 Camry (4 cylinder) this morning and the Oil Pressure, Check Engine, and Check Battery lights were all on.
She turned the car off, waited and started it back on and the same thing.
I rushed our kid to day care and her to work before coming to work myself, I haven't had a chance to check anything.
I replaced the air filter and cabin air filter over the weekend and the oil was changed at the dealer 2 weeks ago.
2002 Camry with check engine light steady on and car shutting off when coming to a stop. Diagnostics revealed error codes P0440, P0441, P0446, P0442 indicating evaporation problem. Found broken closed canister valve. Had valve replaced and check engine light went off. Technician says VSC/TRAC lights were on also when he pulled the car in.
They had not been on before. Now the VSC/TRAC lights are coming on and staying on when the car starts moving. The code is c1336, something about yaw rate sensor. Is there something that still needs to be reset or does this mean that the sensor is bad and what and where is this yaw rate sensor?
Over the past year on my 2002 Camry, I have had my CE light come on and on the next start, the VSC TRAC lights will flash back and forth and then stay on shortly after moving the car. This seems to happen soon after a gas filling. I can put my reader on and usually find codes 0440 and 0402 which I can clear the CEL but the VSC TRAC light comes back on the next time I move the car. I have taken it to a dealer three times now and they have found no apparent problem and cleared the lights. But maybe the next time I fill up, it happens again . . . but not every time I fill up. I have read about the "fix" by shorting out pins 4 and 10 but I am not comfortable with that right now as there has to be a specific reason this is happening.

View 14 RepliesI have a 2010 Corolla. The car is flashing the infamous VSC Off, trac, engine light! The car is still has the powertrain warranty. I was wondering if I should take it to a Toyota dealership.
But I read just getting the diagnostic itself is around $100. I don't want to end up paying for that if the repairs end up being something that's not even covered under the warranty.
I was told the speed sensor for my 2007 Camry LE was dirty. My ABS light goes off every now and then and also my check engine light as well. It's starting to not have power going up hills and the acceleration is a little funny (speed will decrease randomly then shoot back up after a bit of time). I read there is more than one speed sensor, which one should I be replacing? Will cleaning it fix it?

Is this still a transmission shop issue? I am terrified of dealerships, can I drive it a few more days, short distances whilst I decide who will dupe me over more?
