I was under my car the other day and i noticed this dent in the rear of the subframe, just in front of the passenger side rear wheel. I didn't see damage anywhere else. Is this something I should be concerned about?
View 3 RepliesMy passenger side front and rear windows dont work. Both driver side windows work, just not the right side/passenger side.
Also when I press the master door lock/unlock switch on the driver seat, every door except the rear passenger door works. It stays unchanged so I guess it is not receiving a signal or something is not letting the signal reach the lock.
I recently had my 20k mile service done which included a tire rotation. Perhaps my understanding of a tire rotation is incorrect but I noticed the rear passenger side wheel was moved to the front passenger side. If the tires were left on the original rims as is, that means it was simply moved from the rear to the front. Is this right? The reason I noticed this is because I have a little curb rash on my rear passenger side rim which now is up front.
View 10 RepliesI have a 2002 Camry, and recently on the passenger side towards the front wheel there has been a fairly persistent thump or clunk when I brake at low speeds (i.e. immediately before a full stop). I took it to my local mechanic yesterday to see if he could figure it out, and unfortunately he wasn't, although he did point out that my dog bone was cracked and suggested changing that out. Afterwards, the thump/clunk did seem to be more subdued, but it's still obviously there.

I've notice a bumping around, rattle type noise in the wheel well or below the adjacent floor at the right rear tire. I'm still looking into the cause at this point.
The "tracking bar" was replaced last year, and is firm and tight. The rear exhaust pipe was also replaced last year, and I've checked that it might be "tapping" on the body of the van by checking it's range of movement.
The shocks are relatively new (<50,000 miles)...
I have been noticing some kind of a oil/water mix wet spot on the floor every where i park. It looks like some thing is leaking near rear passenger wheel, close to struts. I have a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe SE with 19K miles....
View 5 RepliesGot home from work last night, passengers side rear wheel was smoking, and damn hot to the touch. Drivers side rear was hot, but not as bad as passenger's side.
My first thought was worst case sceneries - wheel bearings. After getting it in the air, in neutral, I can turn the wheels, but, it takes a lot of effort. There's no grinding noises, but, it sounds like a brake is in constant contact.
I'm in the process of taking both wheels off, but, I'm leaning towards either the brakes/calipers or the ebrake dragging. It definitely smells like hot brakes, and not diff fluid.
Every time I drive on a wet road I can hear my front passenger side wheel going though the water and the driver side makes no noise. What, if any, could be the problem?
View 4 RepliesSo I just jacked up my car to check out how bad the bushings are on the control arms and the tire rod. They're bad. So I'm going to get the suspension stage 1 refresh kit from ECS.
Well I went to spin the passenger side wheel and I noticed that I can tilt it back and forth slightly, I checked the other side and couldn't do the same thing. I just got both wheel bearings replaced by a shop and I'm hoping its not the hub. This is just a CV joint or bushings or if it's actually the hub???
Upon putting on my winter wheel i was checking if the bolts were too long and my rear passenger side wheel wasn't spinning. I took the wheel off and checked the rotor and it took a lot of force to spin because the caliper didn't go back. I took the brake fluid line out hoping it would decompress the caliper and it did not, and brake fluid leaked out a tiny bit. This leads me to believe that my caliper is bad. Just want to make sure before I order another one
View 4 RepliesMy passsenger side rear wheel hub assembly needs replacing and I am having trouble removing it. I have removed the rotor, the 4 bolts holding the hub, applied generous amounts of pb blaster, and struck it vigorously with a 3 pound hammer. Also, how to release the abs connection.

View 3 RepliesI need to replace one wheel stud on the passenger side rear. Read an old post that said jack up the car remove wheel spay the stud you need to knock out with WD 40 or PB Blaster. Wait 10 minutes smack it with a small sledge hammer and out it comes. Now I have done that on some older classics but is it that simple on the SC. I have not really jacked it up to give it a good inspection, but I would think you may need to remove the rear rotor and maybe the back cover I saw when I took a quick look under the car.
View 4 RepliesI have 2002 BMW 325xi (all wheel drive). For about 2-3 months now there is a squeaky noise coming from passenger side front wheel. It sounds like a really bad and rusty coil spring but the weird part is that that noise only appears in warm weather. It has nothing to do with how much distance I drive. If it is 70 odd degrees or warmer outside, the noise starts. In warm weather, the car does not have to be running/moving to hear the noise. I can just push down the passenger side front and hear the noise. I took to a mechanic and he wants me to replace tie rods, control arm and struts. basically the whole suspension system on the front for this noise (in other words, he does not know what exactly is making the noise, so replace everything)
View 5 RepliesI noticed today that when im sitting still and i turn the wheel the car raises up a noticable amount in the front on the passenger side, Im not sure if the drivers side was moving or not. I have never noticed this before but maybe i just wasn't paying attention? FYI I have coilovers, I'm not sure that matters or not.

View 11 RepliesI have a 2005 Camry XLE. Since past few months I have started hearing a strange grinding / thumping noise from the front passenger side wheel. It can be clearly heard at slow speed and almost sounds like the wheel is lopsided and is rubbing against something. As the car picks up speed, the frequency picks up and the sounds disappears eventually.
So, I figured it must have been because the car had hit a curb few months ago and must have bent the rim. I had the wheels looked at while getting rotation and balancing done and was told that there is no rim damage. The sound went down a little after rotating the wheels but is still there. The mechanic doesn't think that it is the bearing because the sound disappears after moderate speeds. So, trying to figure out what could be causing the noise?
Alright, so it could be something very common and in proper operation, but I can't guess what it might be. Whenever I turn my car off, I notice a mechanized buzzing sound coming from the passenger side rear wheel well. Probably no coincidence that the fuel nozzle/inlet sits just above the wheel well. Sound is not very loud, but quite noticeable when standing next to the car in my closed garage. Seems to last for 5 to 10 minutes, then shuts off. BTW, it's a 2012 3.6L SE with Nav.
View 6 RepliesI have a 10th anniversary Honda Accord. When you apply the emergency brake, the passenger rear wheel brake does not engage. This car appears to have 2 master cylinders, but I could not find any documentation to confirm. Is this correct? The reservoir on the passenger side is way above the max mark. I'm thinking this is somehow related to the e-brake issue.
View 9 RepliesI came home and just noticed that the V10 rear passenger side tire almost flat; I bent down and the nail head appeared to my eyes, I took the car over to the local Pepboys store to patch it up. And there is no key for the wheel lock. The mechanic and I had madly search all over the searchable spots..... and NO key for wheel lock! I called the dealer at two minutes after 5 and no service people there.
