I have an '05 Chevy Colorado and the front turn signals don't work and no flashers. I've tried replacing bulbs and checked the fuses. Looking for info what would work.
View 3 Replies2012 Avalon Limited. Is it possible to somehow adjust the sound volume of the turn signals? I can't hear the blinker at all, and can't see arrow at a glance due to where I have to set seat. I find myself being one of those idiots driving down the street with blinker going.

View 2 RepliesI had a strange experience this week. Monday afternoon I discovered that my turn signals and 4-way flashers weren't working. I booked a repair appt at my Toyota dealer for Friday.
Wednesday evening I had to make a very sharp turn (270 degrees, roughly) and then discovered that my signals were working again. So I canceled my repair appt; the dealer speculates that there's a short circuit somewhere, which certainly sounds reasonable.
98 4wd extended cab. So weird only the right side is not working. Lights in the dash to the lights outside everything is dead.
Fuses that I could find are good. We replaced the mf switch a few months ago.
I recently got a pretty cherry 98 Ranger 3.0 2wd extended cab auto. So far all it has needed was wiper blades, floor mats and a heater blend door. Last week my daughter informed me that the flashers and the turn signals stopped working. I looked for blown fuses and then took the low road and just bought a new flasher (my alldatadiy manual showed that the flasher was common to the turn signals and the hazard flashers so I took a shot at just throwing a part at it). That didn't fix it or else. Any pointers?

We bought a new battery a day latter wipers don,t work. mechanic buys a used motor, motor works in test colorado but doesn,t work in my husbands truck mechanic is a little stumped.
View 1 RepliesA few weeks ago, I went out to my car & the remote opener would not work. So I opened the door with the key. I went to start the car & it would not start. I got absolutely nothing. I also then could not get the key back out of the ignition. It would not even turn back to the original position. My father get the car started with a jump, but since then my car radio does not work. I also do not hear any noise when using the turn signals. They work, but no "blinking" sound. I tried to research this thinking maybe you have to "reset" the radio after a power "outage" but have been unable to find anything on how to do this. My husband recently passed away and I'm feeling a little lost when it comes to issues with my car. Where I can find some info?

Regular running lights are working without issue, but no turn signals, no hazards, no brakes. Even the "tick, tick, tick" of the turn signal is gone, it's just dead.

About 4-6 times per year (randomly) the truck will either not start, or the electric locks won't work or the turn signal flashes radically or the electric windows won't operate. Currently the locks refuse to work on any door, but the windows work every where except the drivers door. Mechanics opinions seem to revolve around the body control module, but the error codes, don't seem to support this.
View 4 RepliesRecently, I lost function of brake lights, turn signals, and hazard flashers. All happened at the same time. Some threads discuss flasher relays, short steering column wiring (position of steering wheel), and fuse failures.
I checked #18 fuse and a few others. All had continuity. I assumed my bulbs were all good. My hazard push-pull switch did not feel right. There didn't seem to be engagement. At this point, there was a good chance that the multi-function column switch had failed so I decided to try replacing it. I'm happy to report that this switch was the cause of all the light function failures and now, all is well again.
Removal is done by prying the key lock switch cover off,, removing three 1" Philips head screws that attach the lower column shield to the upper shield. At that point the upper shield can be completely removed. The lower shield was not totally removed because the tilt lever was left on. The switch is attached to the column with two 3/4" Torx 20 fasteners. The upper is easily accessible and the lower fastener can be removed by pulling the lower column shield down so access can be achieved. The two wiring harnesses have a conventional harness lock to depress and the connectors pull outward from the switch. Installation is the reverse of removal, noting the dowel locator and small plastic dowel on the lower shield.
I just bought an 05 F250 XLT. I noticed tonight that the rear turn signals and brake lights don't work.
The front turn signals work fine, although they flash fast. I know that usually means a light on its way out. neither taillight flashes though, which puzzles me.
My second issue is that, of the 3 brake lights, only the high mounted light illuminates when I hit the brakes.
I have an 05 chevy colorado and I cant seem to get the tailgate to open. When you pull the handle to open it, you feel a slight click like you would if it would open but it wont budge. Ive tried pushing into it and pulling, I've had someone sit in the bed and push while i pulled and nothing is working.
View 4 RepliesThe turn signals/hazard flasher on my 99 Sebring Jxi stopped working a couple of weeks ago. When I use the signal lever or press the hazard flasher switch, you don't hear any click of the flasher relay, and the lights (front and rear, and on the dash) don't light up at all.
So far, I have:
* Checked the fuse
* Replaced the flasher
* Replaced the turn signal switch
* Replaced the flasher AGAIN (mechanic says that if there was a problem with the turn signal switch, it can burn out the flasher)
* Checked the fuse AGAIN, and even replaced it (even though it's the same fuse for the wiper/washer, and that's still working)
I asked my mechanic about it, and he said that a bad ground can also cause problems. The big question is: where do I begin to look?
I used a OBD scan tool and all it told me was my idle air control system rpm is lower than expected and my evaporative system has a high purge flow. What this means, can I fix it or do I have to send it to a shop. Also when idling the short term fuel trim 1 is at -3% whatever that means.

View 19 RepliesFuel Pump and Fuel Pump Relay replaced after 115,000 miles. On occasion, engine will turn over but not crank ... wait 10 minutes and the engine will start. No security light (passlock) or engine trouble codes displayed or recorded. Once the engine starts, it runs smoothly and normally. Problem of starting did not occur until the fuel pump and relay were replaced.

I did search but have had no luck. My turn signals do not work, unless my foot is on the brake pedal my green arrow indicator wont even turn on. When they do my bulbs work but don't cycle so I know all the bulbs are good as I had my wife check all four corners when I got them to come on for a split second. I have tried replacing the MFS and the turn signal relay under the radio in the dash.... When I do turn on my blinkers I can hear the relay click once but that is it, no more.
I tried checking the wiring in the column and tilting the column to its extremes while trying to engage the turn signals. Also, if I unplug the brake light switch then I do not get an arrow on the IC to light up so I am guessing the power flows through that switch. I don't have a chilton manual yet and the owners manual was not in the truck. I did check fuse 23 ?

View 6 RepliesI have been having an issue with my blinker for the past few months. When the blinker is fully engaged, the right front blinker doesn't work. If I just push up on the blinker so it doesn't fully click into place, the right front blinker works fine, so it is not a burnt out bulb. I have also checked my blinker light in my mirrors and they work fine. Left blinker works fine. I am stumped on to what this can be and I need to get it inspected. 2005 F-250...
