Durango :: No Bus Appeared On Odometer With Check Engine Light

I have a '99 durango with ~45000 miles. Recently it has been breaking down on me. I feel it lose power until it dies all together. After about 20 minutes it will start again. This has happened 5 times. When it happened today, I was going about 30 mph, when I felt it lose power. The speedometer went to '0" - the 'check engine light came on', the 'fuel pump' light came on (like it does when you run out of gas), then I had this odd message on the odometer that said "NO BUS".

This time I had it towed w/o trying to crank it with the hopes they can get a code. I told them about the "no bus" message but they did not seem to know anything about it. I have found this mentioned on a few bulletins boards but not with much info.

I own a stock 2008 Prius.

My car didn't move for 1-2 months so I needed a boost this morning. I noticed there's the check engine light on and a red triangle.
Also, the car won't go on electric mode.

Prius (Gen 1) :: 2002 Red Triangle, PS, Check Engine Light With Codes Appeared

I have a 2002 Prius that needs work. The red triangle, PS, and check engine light are all on. It has these codes:

P3100 - 175 (HV ECU internal error. Motor Inverter Current Sensor Malfunction)

p3125 - 287 (Motor Inverter Finv. Inverter Internal Short)

c1259 (HV System Regenerative Malfunction)

I suspect the inverter or even worse the MG2 has burnt windings.

BTW the "infamous" inverter pump seems to be working. I can hear it and see the fluid in the reservoir move.

I suspect it is more a symptom than a problem and will disappear when the real problem is fixed.

Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Loud Knocking Appeared With Check Engine Light

Started up our 2010 RX 350 and there was loud knocking. This smoothed out after several seconds. I stopped engine and started it again. This time the knocking was less severe, but now the Check Engine light is on. Engine seems to be running a little rough as well. I have a feeling I have a bad plug or wire maybe.

I was just driving and the engine check light appeared. The screen says Emission workshop. its a 2001 B5 passat V6 Manual. I used a code reader and it read P1120 and P0154. Are these codes serious? Can I still drive around? What should I do?

The "check engine soon" light appeared yesterday on this nice running 1997 van with 167K. An auto parts store code check indicated a problem with the oxygen sensor. Honda - Accord :: 1991 - Odometer Stopped Working - S Light Flashes - Check Engine Light Sometimes?

I am a grad student hoping my car will hang in there till graduation next year. I have about 227,000 miles on my Honda Accord Wagon and recently the odometer stopped working, S light started flashing, and the check engine light came on. This only happens sometimes, and the check engine light does not always come on when the S light flashes and odometer stops working. I've continued driving the car to see what happens and so far, no problems have come up. I have driven another 1000 miles and am hoping I can just ignore the problem and continue driving the vehicle since I am not in a position to fix it or get a new car.

Recently I passed my California emissions test and she seems to be running smooth. Any thoughts or warnings as to why sometimes these signals happen?

I have to drive with GPS on all the time to know my speed, but other than that I feel OK.

Prius (Gen 2) :: 2006 Cells Replaced, Red Exclamation Mark / Check Engine Light Appeared

I just bought a 2006 prius. It had 2 bad cells in the battery pack. I replaced the cells and all seems to be well, they all read the same voltage and the car appears to be driving, charging, working.

I still have the red exclamation mark and check engine light. The only code I get says to replace hybrid battery pack.

There are no other specific codes or issues and it runs perfect. Basically I guess what I am asking is how to clear the light or figure out why the light is still on!

Prius (Gen 2) :: 2004 Check Engine Icon / Red Triangle With Code Appeared

2004 Prius, 149,000 miles. Driving on a highway when suddenly it felt like a headwind was bearing down on me, and a minute later, the red triangle of death and all the other lights came on. Did not totally lose power. Pulled to the shoulder and while waiting for the tow truck, started and turned the car off several times.

After the first few times, the red triangle did not light up, but the check engine icon remained on. The tow truck driver had a very difficult time getting the car into neutral to pull onto the flatbed, and then when he took the car off the truck to park it at the dealership, he said it shifted "hard" into drive.

I don't have a code since I don't own a reader. What this might be? I really, really hope it's not the traction battery needing replacement. I have no training to replace single cells.

Prius (2004-09) :: Red Triangle / Check Engine Lights Appeared When Driving On Freeway

I was on my way to work this morning when the car just stopped accelerating (or so it felt), all the dash lights came on, I pulled over to the side of the freeway (I was very lucky). Radio and a/c were still working. Powered off, powered on too soon a couple of times - the red triangle and check engine both came on again. Cooled my jets and gave it a few minutes, powered on and the red triangle was gone, but the check engine was still on. Drives perfectly, no problems w/either gas or hybrid engine.

My wife said she had to slam on the brakes this morning to avoid someone pull out in front of her. She said the small yellow engine light came on right after.

Could it be low brake fluid? Not sure how that works.

I was driving home and all of a sudden my rpms are at 3.5 4k rpm wont shift to next gear. I put in in tiptronic mode and shift it to 8 it works fine. Then about 10 minutes later check vsc shows on dash traction control light is on check engine light is on and the light next to the check engine i think it is the abs light. "Check lights" just popped up on the display. Low beam lights appeared very weak. Hooked VAG-COM, it said that the right xenon bulb is a problem. Strangely, high beam won't even turn on!? Pulled the right headlight assembly, checked the high beam bulb - no problem. Inspected the inside of the assembly - no visible problem. The xenon bulb looked almost burnt out.

Just had my lexus dealership do the ELF recall. While it was in there I had them check to see why my check vsc light comes on randomly which sets off the check engine light.

They came back and told me that my water pump is leaking, what are the future problems of a leaking water pump?

They said the check vsc light is coming on, in their words is "found center y pipe, gaskets leaking at front pipe, may still need to replace converter pipe." So what does that mean and what do I need to do?

Phaeton :: Achy Sound While Turning Steering - Engine Warning Light On - Trip Odometer Won't Rest On Display?

Three things happened with my Phaeton today.

First, when I pulled out of the driveway, there was an "achy" should as I turned the steering wheel. I sound like it coming from under the hood in the area of the steering mechanisms. I am hoping it just might be low power steering fluid?

Second, my engine warning light (amber) came on after going through a car wash. Everything seems to run fine, so I plan to just wait and see if it turns itself off again.

Last - and only as an irritation - I noted that my trip odometer on the front dash display won't reset when I go into the console "trip data" and press reset. Am I doing something wrong?

Honda Hybrids :: Check Gas Cap Message Appeared At Quarter Tank

This is the msg I get from my 2007 civic hybrid, "Please check gas cap".

I checked the gas cap and it is as tight as can be. The car was working fine this morning (I use that word loosely, it's a POS), and then after I get off of work, the message shows up. I'm at a quarter tank right now, so I'll fill up tomorrow.

Toyota's Emergency Response Guide says this error is triggering by the ground fault monitor that is connected to the 12v aux battery.

Phaeton :: Check Lights Warning Appeared On Instrument Cluster

Today I had the joy of covering 200+ miles on my W12 today. While I was out and about there were 3-4 times I went around a right hand turn somewhat quickly and a "check please lights" warning appeared on the instrument cluster. At the end of the day I inspected the exterior lights with all working or so it seems. I found it odd that this only appeared during sharp turns to the right.

Prius Plug-in 2012-15 :: Check Hybrid System, Message Appeared

I was driving my plug-in yesterday on the freeway and suddenly it alerted me the following:

Check Hybrid System

Stop the vehicle in a safe place

I pulled over to the side and tried to reset the message (push power button 3x), but message still was coming up. With my Toyota dealership not too far away, decided to bring in my car to have it checked out.

After 2 hours with their hybrid tech, they were not able to replicate the message (of course, always the case), but the tech was able to catch a P0C3E error from their diag tool. Being that they could not replicate the issue, they released my car and started to bring it back it the issue persist.
