So I washed my car today.. was wiping it a little and noticed that the right side of front bumper was loose.. then a closer inspection showed that I can lift it! I didn't collide into anything whatsoever, maybe from speed bumps or potholes?

So I recently bought an '09 Elantra for 52K miles. Car's a beauty except the front bumper cover is loose under the headlight on the driver side(got it that way). The first two pics are from the driver side whereas the third shows it in comparison to the passenger (which is totally fine). The gap seems to be getting bigger ever so slightly. What would be the cheapest and easiest fix?

It is not terrible, but like keeping car nice, would be nice if covered under warranty. Been this way for awhile, maybe should have taken it in, haven't even mentioned it to Hyundai.

View 1 RepliesWe have had our new 2013 Elantra GLS for one week. The last two days I have been hearing this pop noise on the drivers side. It does it after I turn left but not until the car has straightened up and has reached about 20 miles an hour. It does it only once but it does do it each time I start the car and make a left turn and get up to about 20 miles an hour. Our Sentra makes a noise like this but it is an engine component kicking in so it is normal.
The sound does not come from the wheel area so if this was a normal sound similar to what the Sentra does. The sound is more from the engine level on the drivers side.
Just got the 2010 and put 100 miles on it and found the front bumper loose on the passenger side. Difficult to see but it looked loose right by the headlight housing, a little pull and it popped up. Looked like the fastener was never there.

As I was closing my front driver's side window this afternoon I heard a pop or bang, and I noticed the window was closed, mostly, but it didn't fit right and the top rear of the window was out of the frame, up above where it should be, and the front, sloping portion of the window was below where it should be.
I put it up and down a few times, and eventually managed to coax it back into position, but it didn't stay there when I opened and closed the window again. It feels to me like whatever connects the glass to the motor and gizmoss that lift it up and down has broken or come undone.
I fear that it is a dangerous condition, because the window might pop out completely at high speed. Unlike the last time I remember having a car with a window disconnected from its mechanism (the 60's or so), we no longer have window frames to make sure they stay in place when the machinery breaks. Also, it has always seemed to me that the car's aerodynamic shape puts pressure on the doors and glass at highway speeds.
Anyway, I'm going to get this in to the dealer as soon as possible, but I wanted to ask:
Am I paranoid not to want to drive it at speed until I get it fixed?

View 20 RepliesAbout 6 weeks ago I noticed a noise coming from the front driver side wheel area. We had just gotten the tire rotated and once at freeway speed it was like a squealing noise, just like when you have worn brakes. Since then the squealing noise is gone and now it's a faint (hard to describe over text) "whomp whomp" noise as if I have off-road tires. I notice it more on freeways I supposed because it's a smoother straighter surface. On a particular right bending street by our house it's louder. What it might be? Car has 36k miles.
View 8 RepliesI have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited and have noticed a rattle in the front driver's door area near the Dash. It's hard to pinpoint where exactly it is coming from. The rattle can be heard even on smoothish roads and sounds like a little screw or something else is loose or rubbing against something. I checked that sunglasses holder and made sure nothing was in there but the rattle is still there.
View 55 RepliesI have a 2013 Elantra. There is a rubbing type noise in the driver front when braking and turning right. It only rubs(catches) in one spot. Almost like a pulsation, however doesn't pulsate. Hard to describe. Has a new wheel bearing. There are new pads and rotors (two sets of rotors). Took to my Hyundai dealer today. They can't find anything visible. They said only option is to start adjusting/replacing parts as trial and error.

I push it back into place, (it snaps into place) but i again noticed today after my commute home it had slightly popped out again. What does this cover and has any experience of it popping out?

View 1 RepliesOkay so with my old Accent I had the same Magnaflow exhaust I have now on the Elantra. Sounds identical with one exception; When I'd down shift with my Accent I'd get some popping coming from the exhaust. I get no such sound with my current set-up. Now I know some people don't like it but I do.
So my question is simple... Would removing the resonator (assuming the Elantra's have one) or doing something else to the exhaust give me back my wonderful popping sound?
04-V8 - little over 85k. Timing belt replaced recently.
There is a small oily leakage in the very front drivers side under the bumper. Its in front of the tire and as described under the bumper. I see some hoses in that area from underneath and a bit of oil-ly leakage from under the hood looking down into that same area.
So, what lurks behind the front bumper in front of the driver side front wheel? The oil leak seems like light oil, but ... are the oil cooler lines there?
Are the power steering lines there? Asking because I did recently have to fill the power steering reservoir from suddenly near dry (as far as I know) so that is a suspect. And yes, I filled it with the right stuff (pentosin).
I have a Matrix XR 2010 with front bumper sporty look . I like to change the front bumper to regular bumper and the reason is that for the last two winter seasons I have broken the spoilers and basically wreck the bumper.

View 9 RepliesWent to leave for work this morning and released the parking brake and she wouldn't budge. Had to give it quite a bit of gas to finally move, along with a big popping sound. It was cold out, and haven't been using the PB in cold weather lately but did yesterday and this happened. Is there something that needs to be done with the brake? Thought I might have to get towed.
View 1 RepliesI just got a H&R Sport Cup Kit installed along with new strut mounts and bearings on my 2001 GTi. My front right side strut is making a popping sound whenever I accelerate or brake slightly hard and sometimes when hitting a bump in the road. What's causing the sound? Could it be I have a bad strut? Also the left side is fine and doesn't make noise at all..
View 10 RepliesI put lowering springs on a few months ago and a pop/clunk has developed. There is a tiny lip of pavement just past my garage door and it clunks as I back out at an angle over it. Worse case I can check the torque on all of the bolts.
