I just noticed during my recent road trip on vacation that my interior rear deck (behind seat) is very sticky to the touch. Had the car about 6 months but never noticed until I tossed a gray fuzzy blanket on it and saw a lot of dust and fuzz from the blanket was sticking to it.
View 31 RepliesSo I tried removing my rear deck but was unsuccessful. I removed 4 "screws" when folding the seats then the ones inside the trunk but it didn't come off. Did I miss anything that is holding it down?

View 4 RepliesI had a 12" sub installed in my trunk & was getting a horrendous rattle from the rear deck area. My first instinct was to put Dynamat everywhere but after some googling i ended up filling the underside of the rear deck area with trashbags!! I pushed 5 of them through the opening where you access the 3rd brake light & it now it sounds perfect. I uploaded a video to youtube with a sound test.....
View 6 RepliesIt is 10 degrees now (-12 C). I softly engaged the clutch and noticed the car wasn't moving. I tapped on the gas lightly and the car was trying to move, but couldn't. I finally gave it a lot of gas and there was a huge POP sound. When I park my car, I leave e-brake engaged. Are brakes suppose to stick that bad in cold weather? The Pop sounded like a .45 Pistol!!
View 9 RepliesHave a steering problem with my 2011 Elantra. While driving "straight" and maintaining a center location in the lane, the steering wheel will develop (for lack of a better word) a sticky feeling. When you try to move the wheel beyond the sticky spot it causes you to overcompensate. Hyundai and two different dealers look at me like I am nuts. They test drive it but don't test it properly to feel the problem, they will test it by changing lanes and making turns. The problem is not always present and only happens when driving straight and when you move your hand slightly left and right to stay center in the lane.
View 168 RepliesI have an issue with what sounds like the rear deck rattling in my 2010 SE Camry. I can hear it almost every time my back wheels hit any small bump in the road.
I also have subwoofers installed along with dynamat in most of the trunk (just not on the rear deck). This is my main reason for wanting this solved. The rattle is very noticeable when the bass hits in almost every song. Is that where the rattle is coming from?
Having issues with interior panels becoming loose or the headliner? I posted my issue in the thread INTERIOR BUILD QUALITY today.
View 4 RepliesI just got my 2013 Elantra in Pearl White GLS Preferred Package about a month ago, and since then the interior lights fuse has blown twice. The first time I took it back to the dealer and they replaced a fuse. It then worked for about a week or so and they're out again. Also, the passenger fog lamp keeps just blowing bulbs.
View 8 RepliesI installed my dome light, map light, and rear license plate LEDs with no problem a couple of months ago. When my LEDs for the vanity lights came in today, I immediately went to install them. The first one on the driver's side was installed without a hitch, but after I installed the second one on the passenger side, none of the interior lights worked. The only difference in installation I can think of is that I disconnected the light on the passenger side as opposed to keeping it plugged in on the driver's side.
View 6 RepliesSo I've had my elantra (2013) for 3 months. Today I notice when I unlocked the doors, the interior lights didn't come on. When I tried to turn them on nothing happened. Then I tried turning the car on and they all came on. Then I turned the car off and the interior lights didn't turn on when I pulled out the key like they normally do. Then I tried opening the door, and the lights didn't turn on like they normally do when I open the door.
View 5 RepliesOur 2012 elantra gls with 112k miles on it decided to freak out yesterday.
Car wont turn over at all. there is also a clicking sound coming from the interior fuse block. I popped the hood and smelled sulfur. I put the volt meter to the battery and it shows 12.8 ish. I checked all the fuses and didn't find any blown. I also pulled the starter relay and tested it and it checked out.
Trying to turn the car over some times the dash light will flicker and the wipers will turn on by themselves. I also had a clicking sound coming from the fuse block under the hood. Interior lights come on but are dim and the parking light flicker a bit and fade. I downloaded the manual but am not sure what to look for at this point.
My 2013 Elantra interior lights seem to slightly flicker when the engine is running. Is this normal? I've never noticed it before on my 2011.
View 5 RepliesI always have humidity marks on the black portion of my interior door handle area and it seems like the water that gets in the door doesn't flow out completely. It kinda pools at the bottom in between the 3 small holes at the inside bottom of the door. The drain holes are clean but it seems there is a lip the water gets caught on.

View 2 RepliesI have the 2010 VW Tiguan White SEL.
When I drive the car, per the specs, the locks all lock once I go over 5mph.
However, when I stop the car, the interior rear tailgate release button only unlocks the rear tailgate part-way: the tailgate is loose, but will not open. Same behavior when using the rear tailgate release button on the key remote.
The dealer told me they applied a "software patch" so that now when I drive the car, all the locks will still lock. The "software patch" however now causes all the locks to unlock once I stop the car and put it the car transmission into Park. Is this "software patch" and actual firmware upgrades or is the dealer just changing the Convenience settings on this car?

From day 1 owning the car used at 50k I hear vibration sounds coming from the rear deck (behind the rear seats but not inside the trunk) when moving from a stop for the first few seconds of acceleration.
what exactly is the root cause and how to fix it?
I'm looking to remove the deck lid on the F to check out the sub (seems like it's working sometimes).
I pull the seat bottoms up, and pulled the 12mm bolts to get the seat back off, I couldn't get the belts out, nor the through the deck lid.
