Where the fuel filter for a 1997 ford aerostar is located? I have been told it is under the driver side near the front tire. I cannot find it anywhere. Is it near the middle by the transmission? I would like to see a schematic also?

View 5 RepliesWhere it is V8? I did a search on here and came up empty. I haven't physically looked for it on the vehicle yet. I'll be changing oil this weekend and I'd like to change the fuel filter while I'm at it.
Almost forgot, it has the 4.6L V8.
Would like to change the fuel filter on my 04 F150. I have about 86K miles on it and not sure how long it has been since changed because I bought the truck with 75K on it. Is this easy job? Also where is the filter located.

View 5 RepliesI'm having some trouble with the front blower fan on my 97 Aerostar 3.0, it will only intermittently work, one time we had it running, lifted up the hood on the van, checked the connection to the motor, looked good, dropped the hood and the fan immediately started working again, I'm wonder if the relay might be starting to go bad, the fan in the back works, so I'm not sure. Where the relay is for the blower motor, or what might be wrong?

I've changed the fuel filter on many other vehicles and know that it should bee right in front of the rear passenger tire..however I was looking for it to change it the other day and I could not find it. Attempted to replace fuel filter tonight. The connector on the fuel tank side of the filter came off just like it is supposed to. The engine side, however, will not come lose at all. I can wiggle to back and forth, but I can't seem to get the tool to compress the springs.
The engine side connector seems to be smaller than the tank side. I've done this once before on a '98 Ranger, but didn't notice a difference in connectors.
Looking for diagrams for where the fuel filter is, the coils are in the engine compartment, and a steering wheel diagram because mine wobbles. I did attempt to look for one in a hayes when I was at Pep Boys a bit ago and didn't see one. 1998 F150 4.6L v8 w/auto trans 4wd 3dr...
View 6 RepliesI am looking for the location of the fuel pump relay on a 1997 Chevy S10. There is a bank of relays on the firewall on the passenger side, but I do not have any info on which relay is for the fuel pump.
I briefly looked at this vehicle where they had it towed to after it had stalled on the road and they couldn't get it to start.I had no tools at the time, but not hearing the hum of the pump, and no fuel at the test port on the rail, all pointed to a fuel problem. The owners boyfriend took over from there and replaced the pump this past Saturday and still no pump.
I suggested that he find the right relay and test it, but he skipped that part. Which of those realy are for the pump??????

View 14 Replies1992 3.0L aero crancks but won't start. Gives codes 114 and 116, these are about IAT and ECT sensors. Where is the ECT exactly located? I see 3 or 4 sensors that are screwed to intake manifold over there. I would like to find the sensor for dash cooling meter too, because it is moving only a fraction of the distance that it should. Thermosthat is checked, it seems to work.
