I'm working on a 2003 that the front wiper and sprayer quit working on. The rear wiper and sprayer still work fine. We replaced the multifunction switch and no change. I would like to test the motor before we keep throwing parts at it.
View 5 Replies6.7L ... Just traded in my F250 on a 2011 F350 Lariat. Love it. Period. Except that my windshield wiper sprayers will not work. I don't hear anything when I hit the button. No click or motor running. I can't figure out what fuse it is because I don't have an owners manual.
View 14 RepliesWeird issue on my MK4 GTI. So it started out just as the rear windshield sprayer would work intermittently. Then the same happened to the front one. Then sometimes the rear windshield wiper would just come on by itself when hitting bumps on the highway. Now sometimes the front windshield wipers won't work, the rear doesn't work at all, and neither sprayers work.
So, where's best to start? I figured maybe the toggle switch is worn out. I haven't looked to see how hard it is to get out/test. I assume there's some linkage or wires I can get to once I remove the trim under the steering wheel to do a simple continuity test and see if the switch is working. Or would relays cause this? I wouldn't think that many relays could fail this quickly while running at normal voltages...
Why my windshield sprayer stopped working? When I pull the handle to engage, I do not even hear the motor engage - this no spray either. Could it be a fuse?

View 14 RepliesI have no windshield wipers. Since i bought the truck ive fixed other issues but cannot figure out the issue with the wipers. Tested for power not sure if it's accurate but seems like there is power to the harness to the motor but not 100% positive.... Can it be the switch? Blinkers and rest on same switch still work but no ww. I also dont hear clicking from a solenoid like ive read on some research.. Fuses are all good pulled everyone out since they arent labeled with numbers next to them...im at such a stand still and cant drive the truck was screwed the other day when we got sun showers for nor reason and i was on a major highway.
View 6 RepliesI bought the car with a polo wiper already installed and I'm totally fine with that because it looks a lot better. The thing is, the sprayer has never worked. I can hear it function when I use the lever for it but it doesn't shoot anything out. I took a pic and it looks like I'm missing something. If not, I guess I'll have to take it apart.

View 3 RepliesSo the day after getting my 5000 mile service (an entirely different story for that) I tried to clean off my rear window and found that the sprayer worked but the wiper didn't. Leaving even more of a mess.
Both the sprayer and the button on the wiper head to open just the glass work perfectly. With the stalk on just rear wipe there isn't even any sound coming from the wiper motor like it's trying to move but jammed. I have made sure the little prong is in the groove in the circular plate it goes into. I have checked the fuse box and fuse 52 isn't burned out (although oddly it only has a 5 amp fuse in it, not the 30 amp as the manual describes).
The only thing i'd like to check is the wiring under the dash. I can't remember if I have used the wiper since I installed my hands free kit, but I had both the a pillar trim and the under dash panel off. I assume it travels in the bundle down the a pillar, but then where does it go. I was very careful wiring the hands free but I suppose I could have pulled a wire loose inadvertantly re-installing the panel trim or something.
my 2001 dodge ram wipers quit suddenly in the upmost position. Then restarted, went back down and immediately quit in the halfway up position, right in front of my face. Of course, it was raining. I pulled over, pushed them down by hand (no action from the wiper switch on any setting). Checked 25 amp fuse in the dashboard fusebox. That looked OK.
Heard on a forum about the wiper relay (or relays, possibly?) under the hood. Bought a relay at NAPA., replaced it; still no response. The only other odd thing is that about 3 times, the ABS light on the dash has flashed (for a second) but brakes are in top shape & all other electric lights/switches work fine. The windshield washer works fine.
06 GS300 Drove all day in freezing rain, but when I went to leave the store, the drivers side windshield wiper decided to stop working. I was able to make it back to the parking lot. The passenger side is working fine, but that was not working for me at the time. What could have caused this issue?
View 4 RepliesWhat is wrong with my 2006 VW Jetta. The windshield wipers quit working all of a sudden. I stopped to get gas and turned off the wipers( it was raining), got gas and went to turn on the wipers, they are not working. I don't even hear the motor run. When I was trying to research online, one of the solutions I came across was spraying WD-40 on the motor to dry up the water and try to fix the problem.here are my questions. 1. does this work? 2. do I need a new motor? 3. If I decide to spray WD-40, do I need to take the wiper arms and the plastic guard on the front to access the motor or can I spray through the grill on the plastic cover?
View 1 RepliesFound that OEM new wipers were not completely squeegee-ing the windshield. i.e. getting small patches of wet/unwiped areas. Seems like it's skimming some areas instead of actually wiping.

This happened once before about a month ago, and they started up again a few days later. So I don't think it is the motor. The back ones work, the fluid works, but no fronts.

View 7 RepliesI bought a good running and clean ' 87 Caravan last year and it's a good one. When I bought it, the speed of the windshield wipers were very slow. The delay part of the wipers didn't work. Recently, the wipers quit working all together. I checked the fuses, they are fine. I have an ' 89 Caravan parts van that I removed the "tested and working" wiper motor. Installed it and it's still not working. What else am I missing here?
