I have a 2001 F250 crew cab, it currently has bench seats with the center console missing. Can I put a 40-20-40 split bench seat out of a 2012 f250 in my truck? And if so how much modification will need to be done?

View 4 RepliesI took this picture from the rear seat while leaning over the front seats. The two white arrows indicate where our front seats are rubbing the center console while we are seated. The rubbing makes a noise and will eventually leave a wear mark on the leather, the console or both. Any way to quiet the noise and to cushion the contact between the leather and the center console?
I'm looking for a product that is safe for leather that will decrease friction in this area so that the rubbing won't cause noise or leave wear marks on the leather. I'm only interested in treating the area of the seat that contacts the console so as not to change the overall appearance of the leather. Alternatively, I could treat the center console with a product that will make it more slippery.
I have a rattle/ticking noise that happens when the 05 Phaeton experiences road vibration. I'm thinking about taking it apart to see what may be loose. This is the console between the two front seats.
I've narrowed it down by placing my hand on top to silence. It can't be silenced by touching the rear seat vents or power plug cover. So it seems the whole console must vibrate to create the noise.
Got an 03 f250 supercab, and looking to get rid of the old front bench seat for 2 regular front seats and installing a big middle console, will this be kinda hard? I got in my truck now the driver seat is seperate from the 2 seater bench seat and it has the flip down middle console to where you can flip it up for somebody to sit in the middle or flip it down for the cup holders etc.. I want to get rid of that and just have the 2 front seats and an big middle console. I think some of the 1998-2003 f150 come with this set up

View 12 RepliesI have a 2001 F150with the V6 motor, automatic transmission and 73k miles. It has begun having hesitation/missing problems at low rpm, 1000-1800 or so, and it feels like the engine shuts off for a fraction of a second. At idle and above that range it seems to run fine. Also, it only happens in Drive and when the engine is fully warned up - it does not do it when cold or in Neutral. Uphill, downhill, doesn't matter. There are no OBD codes. The spark plugs, air filter and MAF sensor have been replaced recently. I have OBD scantool on my laptop, but have not been able to use it yet.

2001 Escape V6....
My wife's Elentra has some center console lights out. A radio button (or two) is not lit and heat control button(s) as well. I don't remember specifics.. I'm going to check the fuse box when I get to it, but wanted to check here first. It seems like it's somewhat common problem. Fuse N25 is mentioned often.
Everything else is functioning, just the lights are out. It seems strange though that not entire section of controls is out, but part of one (radio) and part of other (heat). Does this sound like a fuse or maybe it's the bulbs. Or combination?

View 4 RepliesI am looking at a left over 2015 F250XL, 6.2L, 4X4, Short Bed. It is a new vehicle, 320 miles, it came in a dealer swap so that was the transfer miles. Truck was built in December 2014.
Question: It has bucket seats with no console. Well, there is some small plastic thing that is a cup holder between the seats, but NO arm rest center console. Is this normal? Or did someone take out the center console/arm rest and swap it into something else, and just found something to bolt to the floor? The one that is there appears it could be a factory piece, but man alive is it cheap.
Also, why no fold up arm rest attached to the seat??? Ford did this in the past. Is there a bolt hole to attach an arm rest from another Ford bucket? One that you could fold up and down maybe?? You would have to make a hole in the fabric to use it, but someone should be able to go feel around for a threaded hole or something.
I know that this horse has been beaten to death but after searching all the posts and web. I have recently aquired an overhead console and wiring harness from a 2000 F250 and want to install it in my 2001 F250 which did not come with one. The connector behind the passenger kickplate is different so I assume I'll be doing some wire splicing. After reading all the previous posts, I'm unable to find old bird. Apparently he's not around anymore. Looking for the template/wiring instructions for this retrofit?
View 3 RepliesI have an 02 f150 2WD with a "leveling" kit. It was on the truck when I bought it. However, the front sets noticeably higher than the rear. The rear has lifting blocks, while the front has the lifted spindles as well as the coil spring spacers. At least I think they are spacers. I had to replace lower control arm bushings a while back, and there were black plastic rings on top of the springs. Can I remove the spacers? If I can, I plan on doing that and replacing the rear blocks with whatever I need to get the stance back. I like the height of the truck now, just hate the front being higher than the rear. I do pull my boat with it.
View 2 Repliesit's missing at an idle and it acts like it dont wanna take gas but once you get it going on the road it does good. the motor is a remanufacture motor it's only got 6,000 miles, new coils, plugs and wires, cam sensor, crank sensor, idle air control, mass air flow,and temp switch.
View 9 RepliesSo today, I planned on switching the belt, idler pulley and tensioner since at least two of them are making noises. After taking all of the stuff off, belt, idler pulley and tensioner... and since I always compare parts I buy to parts that were in, making sure they are identical and I didn't order the wrong one. So first up I checked my tensioner and the position of them or angles are different, completely different.
So Google it to view a few diagrams and bang! it hits me... the one I took out from my F150 is for a non-AC... so back into the truck and I'm looking. Didn't have to go far when I realized that my AC compressor is missing!!!!
I keep looking around and I see that yes, I did have AC in it before I got it; because the guts are there but sliced! Great, so the job went from easy and easy I mean buy compressor and install; but now since the guts were cut, the PO sliced the thing out simply put.
1.) What are the bolt sizes that hold the compressor in place?
2.) Is there a wire connector on the compressor? or no?
I have a slightly strange problem with my Ford F-150 I know it's going down the road a couple days ago that and my air conditioning console was set to panel Suddenly the air conditioning pump will kick on. first question is there an easy way of fixing this if not is there a way that I could splice into the air conditioning console wires and possibly cut power to the pump with an addition of a switch. View 3 RepliesI have 2002 f150, fx4, ext cab, 110000miles 5.4 automatic truck, i just replaced my spark plugs, it still have a little miss, thought spark plugs will resolve but its the same, im wondering if i should change O2 sensors? clean EGR Valve? IAC valve? i am not getting good gas mileage and maybe its this missfire or something, its runs good without any problems, just this slight miss makes me think if its the cause to bad MPG.
I tried to find threads with pictures of how to change O2, how to clean EGR, and IAC, i remember seeing these threads but cant find em. And you think these three things will resolve my MPG and the slight miss?
I have a99 5.4 and its missing slightly when cold mostly. I'm thinking egr poss did tune up 7 mos ago so I don't think it's plugs or coil pacs seems to get better when it warms up...
