I have a 2007 f150 sport. I am getting a 24 code on the airbag light and I do know that is Sensor output feed/return circuit open. What I do not know is where is this sensor located and what could it mean if I am getting the code...
View 2 RepliesI bought late 98 F-250, 5.4 G, 4WD. OHad to replace the steering flange because they messed up the ignition cylinder and flange. Truck didn't run for 4 years. 249K miles, no history available. Got the engine running, no DTCs. D, 3, 2, 1 barely moved the truck forward but, R hauled butt in reverse. Checked transmission fluid it was good and clean.
Came back to it a few days later it threw a P0720 (output speed sensor circuit) and I have no reverse, park feels like it wants to move, R is neutral, N is forward, D is forward, 3 is forward, 2 is forward, 1 is forward. The N is full drive. I cleared the P0720 code after it came up and it has not returned. The instrument gauges work but the odometer display is intermittent. Linkage? Fluid? Sensor? Wires?
1996 izusu rodeo had check engine light on got code for egr valve. Replaced it light when out drove fine all day. Stopped at grocery store came back out would not start ... Will crank over but will not start. did a obg (two) scan get a p1640 output A circuit fault code along with a 1460 egr code ....
View 5 RepliesI just replaced my starter and on my first ride after replacing it the X started to stumble a bit, and then would stall out at almost every stop light. It threw a CE light and I pulled the code P0720. I searched here and it seems most guys say this is a C.O.P. issue. If it is a bad C.O.P. would it stall like that?
I did have the battery disconnected but I made sure the terminals were clean and tight. Is this a coincidence or did I do something while changing the starter?
So I swapped in a new cluster fx4 to stx to get my airbag light to work. It now works but flashes code 25. Is code 25 the passenger airbag deactivation switch?
View 2 RepliesMy hyundai 2004 sta fe awd 3.5 LX engine light came on while cruising dwn the freeway. At the same same time i heard a loud thud and speed went down from 65 to 40mph and a high idle. I drove it home and hook up the obd2 scanner and got P0720 suggesting bad output sensor. So I decided to buy new sensor from the dealership, put it in and thought it will fix the problem. After few days the engine light came on (P0720)again with the same clunk noise and speed down from 65 to to 40 mph at high rpm. Took it home, did some experiment by putting back the old sensor. I Connected the harness back, but this time I wrap the female connector with the electrical rubber tape and electrical vinyl tape. Problem fixed. No more engine light,transmission shift smoothly. I think the connector (harness side) to the output sensor was crack that's why its not making good solid connection. The rubber tape technique held the female connector pins tightly together. New part didn't do anything but it was a learning experience.

From my searches, readings and looking at the parts diagram. On the newer 5 speeds the sensor is the one on the inside of the tranny. This requires taking the entire tranny apart? Is there an external connector for the sensor that I can check or clean first? Replace this sensor. I know the older ones were mounted on top of the tranny. I think this one is mounted on the inside though.
Problem: Initially thought replacing the rear wheel speed sensor on top of the differential would make the light go away on a 2007 F-150 XLT. What I've done already.
-Replaced the sensor
-Used the IDS ford computer to clear the code
-Test drove it for 30 minutes and the light is still on
-Reset any codes by disconnecting the battery
-I have gone as far as swapping a different ABS module thinking it was the problem, after it was re-programmed the module checked out and it wasn't at fault.
It must be a wire, all the fuses for the ABS system are fine.
Issue or traced all the wires and found a common problem such as a pinched wire or melted wire between the module and the sensor? From what I have been researching this code B1230 .

-sensor grounding out somewhere
Attempted a multi-meter test today and didn't get very far.
I was plowing and when I put it in reverse it felt like it slipped, but then the dash message trans malfunction came up. I checked the codes and I got P0722 output shaft speed sensor.
Code P0720 (oss) sensor circuit fault
Then the truck went into safe mods. Is it just the sensor or is my reverse going out...
Engine light came on yesterday and started missing on take offs. Giving code p2285 Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit Low. I've done the research and understand the problem. It's the weekend and shops closed until Monday. Is it safe to drive in the mean time? Is there any risk of doing damage? What's the risk of it quitting or failing start in the short term, today?

My 2nd gen prius was recently in an accident; I got hit directly on the passenger side rear right tire. Car has been in the shop for over a month, they replaced the rim (moved the old pressure sensor over with the tire), doorshell, bumper, and rear axle beam.
I picked up my car yesterday, and on my way home the TPS warning light comes on. I go back to the repair shop, and they said one of the sensors were asleep and they just had to re-activate it and clear the error code.
I have a 2002 Jetta 1.8t. My check engine light came on and it gave me the code P0135 sensor heater circuit. Bank 1 Sensor 1. We bought a new 02 sensor and replaced it. We definitely bought the right one too. Cleared the codes. After a little driving the CEL came back on with the same code P0135. What is wrong and how I can fix this?
View 6 RepliesI cleaned my k&n air filter on my 02 passat 1.8 turbo let it dry oiled it very lightly, and 50 miles later I get a check engine light on, pulled the code 16486 and it says Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Low Input. Cleared the code put a frame in until I can get it filter. Why that would throw me that code, k&n oil gumming up my sensor??

Need to confirm that it is on top of the transmission, near the tail end? Why are parts that go bad always in the most inconvenient places?
On three different occasions in the past month I noticed air bag light on in my 13 supercrew. Code comes up as B0091 drivers door crash sensor. This truck was bought new and only has 13000 miles on it so my gut is telling me it's something to do with the harness that is at the door hinge. I've carefully inspected the wires and do not see any obvious broken wires but that doesn't mean one of the wires isn't breaking on the inside.

I took it too auto zone and it showed a code of p1237 which as far as i can see says fuel pump secondary circuit failure. does that mean i need a new fuel pump and how hard is it to replace.

Nothing comes up under that search. I took it to Autozone and the code came up as Mass Air flow sensor. Are both of these same thing?
View 7 RepliesYesterday driving to work felt the engine missing, on the way home got a CEL pulled the code when I got home it was P0302, so I started with the easy and put a new coil pack, same issue, so I prayed and pulled the plug (it didn't break). Put a new plug and a second new coil pack (just to be sure, and yes I keep extras dang 5.4). cleared codes and started it this time got P0202 Ford - Injector Circuit Malfunction Cylinder 2, so I checked Ohms on #2 and it was 12.6, #1, 3, 5,6 all have 13 Ohms, didn't check #4, 7, or 8 because my big hands and the probes on my multi meter. Checked the wires on all of them and have 12 volts with key on, not running. I read another check to put blk in pin and red on pos batt terminal, and that it was supposed to go 12 to 0 off and on with engine running, All of mine went up to 14 volts and stayed no switching. Is there something I am missing to check before replacing the injector on #2?

View 4 RepliesOver the past weekend I had to replace all of the egr gaskets and seals, due to it failing smog. I removed all of the harnesses over the motor, intake manifold, turbo, and oil filter housing. I also replaced the oil/oil filter and also the fuel filters. The truck ran great before I decided to replace all of the seals. When I went to start the truck, it would just crank and not fire. One thing I noticed was that my wait to start light only stays on for a few seconds, where before it would stay on for a while. After cranking on it for a while I got a code P2623 for the ICP circuit open. I have tried unplugging the ICP sensor to see if it would start, but it just cranks over. The truck sounds like it wants to fire, but wont. Should I pull the ipr and ICP sensor?

Had the infamous airbag code 42 flashing at me the other day, replaced the sensor in the front of the radiator support, and am still getting the same code. The old senser had some corrosion inside the sensor itself, but the connections were clean on both the sensor and the pigtail. Is there something I may have missed?
