Sooooo... I found a keypad card in my manual folder but I don't have a keypad on the outside of my truck. Does this mean that my truck has the capability to accept one if I install it?
View 4 RepliesI bought the bed extender off my uncles '05 lariat and I got the pivot bolts, but I went to put the bolts on my truck and the middle hole isn't threaded. It has like a metal bushing in there, do I need to tap the hole or what? Also what is the bottom hole for?

View 3 RepliesMy 2008 FX4 won't disengage from park without depressing the manual release (white button). Center console shifter interlock. All I need to know is the part number for that solenoid. None of my local parts stores have a clue and I don't trust my local stealerships.

View 3 RepliesI just bought an '08 F350 Super Duty CC. When I bought it, the previous owner gave a me card with the code on it. So I tried to reprogram the keyless keypad to a new code that I can remember, no luck at all. Followed all the steps on how to reprogram it like a hundred times and still won't reprogram. So I've noticed that none of the lights light up except 7*8, none of the other buttons won't light up.
Could the keyless keypad be going south? Maybe the contacts in the keyless keypad are gummed up or a relay? Need to get this feature to work cause I sure would use it a lot. Also how do I remove the interior door trim to get to the keyless keypad? The door panel has electric locks, electric window, power mirrors, telescoping rear view mirrors, memory seating buttons and speaker pillar.
My keyless keypad has stopped working on my 04 Excursion, what could be wrong.

Is there button to change the Album/Folder from the RNS510, I mean one button you can press to change the album, not going through the menus.
A couple of weeks ago I heard what sounded like a loose heat shield, coming from under the Ex. It went away, but then came back a few days ago. I got underneath and looked at all the welds on heat shields and for anything that seemed loose, I found nothing. Yesterday it started sounding like a card in bicycle spokes, coming from the right rear. This afternoon I pulled the wheel off along with the brake caliper and disc. What I found was that one of the springs on the parking brake shoes had broke and has been ground up in the drum. I didn't take any pictures, but thought if others hear that sound it's something you may want to check.
View 10 RepliesRight now, whenever anyone walks up to my truck, they can turn on all the interior lights just by pressing any button on the keypad on the driver's door, even when it's locked. Is there any way to disable this behavior? I carry tools in the back of my Ex and I really don't like this at all.

View 14 RepliesMy XLT doesn't have a door keypad and in the last 2 years I've really missed it. I found one on eBay that is factory part. I know I'll need to purchase a new handle with the holes for the keys to come through, but my question is will my truck be pure wired with the necessary plug to install this or is it going to be a hassle? The description says it will work on any trick with keyless entry. I assume this means the key fob keyless entry but before I ordered it I wanted to check on here first.

Having just noticed that the left door doesn't have the cut out for the keypad..Like I can still use the doors and have the keypad???

View 14 RepliesI pulled out my Pioneer stereo from my 2004 before trading it in for the new 2012. From all my research and all, it should hook right up but I cannot get a switchable power supply at the harness. I can find one in the harness for the heater but do not want to cut into that one. What have you other Truckers done? Here is the wire harness I am working with. The Red is supposed to go the switchable power, yellow to constant and black to ground. The red from the stereo to the harness wire will NOT power the unit. I can get the stereo working if I put the red wire to the constant (yellow) but then the stereo will not turn off.

View 14 RepliesI use my iphone via bluetooth to play my music and podcasts. If it's wireless I have no control over the folders through the audio controls. I have to manually go through the folders on my phone to cue up what I want to play. Which seems counter productive. I can skip forward to the next song and pause/play but that's it. If I have it plugged into the USB I can control the folders when I am in ipod mode. But it wont let me play it. I then have to switch to BTA to play it. Then back to ipod if I want a different folder or playlist.

View 9 RepliesI bought a 2008 F250 crew cab, long box diesel and other than a couple of minor issues I love it. Tows my race trailer like it isn't even there.
If I use the remote to unlock the doors then everything works as it should, no alarm.
If I unlock the doors using the key pad the alarm sounds?
I have read thru many of the threads I can find but most are reprogramming the keypad. I am suspecting that a door open switch may be the culprit but wouldn't that affect the remote as well?
