I have a 2005 f250 that has a wander and a clunk what feels like under the drivers seat. The driver side bushing in the radius arm has no dirt and looks like wear on it compared to the passenger side which is completely covered in dirt. My question is, bushing wear out will cause wander and a clunk. Is it hard to replace?

The problem is while being worn sometimes they will not let you lean forward- they act like you have a foot on the brake pedal and are locked-you have to lean back and forth several times to get them to let out if reaching for something on the dash etc..
I have searched the forum and found many issues where the seat belts stopped retracting- but my issue seems to be unique in that the seat belt will at times 'Not Let Out" when you lean forward.
I'm hoping this might be a "quick fix". Got in the truck the other day and my power driver's seat had no function what so ever. Not a big deal for me as I drive with the seat all the way back but the complaints are starting from my wife so it's time to find a fix.
This is the first F250 I've had so the wiring is a little new to me. I checked the fuse panel and the fuse seemed okay I swapped #9 out for #22 as they are both 30A and I don't need the trailer at this time but still no luck.
Are there any other systems tied into the driver's power seat, any wiring harnesses I should check or perhaps a fuse that is not shown in the owner's manual? My truck is the 2013 Gas F250.
On the F250 trucks, if I changed the mounting frame under the seat, will the passenger side seat fit on the drivers side? Basically, can I turn a passenger seat into a drivers seat?

whats normal, not used to this much Clunk while changing from P to D ect. More noise than used too I guess.

I have a 2004 f250 with some front end troubles. When turning right once in a while it will make a hard CLUNK noise and then trying to drive down the street it drifts over to the left and I pull the wheel back to the right and when I turn the wheel it feels like I like theres something hitting somthing else in the front end. I have checked ball joints and tie rods and they are all nice and tight. Some stuff I have done that probably isn't related to my problem is shocks and sway bar end links. What this could be? Hopefully not the steering box!
View 7 RepliesHave an 06 F250. When I slow down to make a turn then accelerate it's like the drive shaft spins half a turn before it catches. Been doing it for awhile now. Now I'm get a clunk when I come to a complete stop. When you stop then truck settles there is a little clunk. Does this sound like the slip yoke problem?

2011 F-250 with 203K miles. Replaced shocks last year. Did this with stock wheels/tires. Something in the front suspension or axles. What should I be looking at?
As the title says are my front leaf springs bad? I got this truck 2 years ago and replaced all the ball joints, shocks, sway bar links,front hubs, rotors and brakes along with all the seals. I have a clunk in the front and I can't figure out what it's coming from. Could my leaf springs be clacking together? Truck

My rear wheel bearing are a little loose. This afternoon while diagnosing a squeak in the back I found this. While pushing the truck side to side there is a clunk and when you lay your hand on the tire you can feel it, bearings are loose. Nothing during the operation of the truck to give this away, truck runs and drives as it should but I need to check it our before something does go wrong. What I'm looking for is a torque / preload that the rear wheel bearings need to be set at.
View 2 RepliesMy issue, just purchased f250, 2004, v 10, manual transmission, state vehicle with 32,000 miles but was a plow vehicle for localRMV lot, that said, great shape and runs strong but I get a clunk and shutter when I am in reverse and only when I push down clutch before stopping. Doesn't do it starting forward or reverse, only reverse and when I push clutch in before stopping. Did have a friend drive and looks like the transfer case is moving, as if mounts or bolts are loose. Does this make sense and could bad slip joints be putting excess torque on ?!?!?
View 4 RepliesAfter a 7 year love affair with our 2005 6.0L Excursion, we bought another 6.0L today - a 2006 F250 Crew Cab. It came with front buckets/console, and the used car lot (all diesel trucks...) was nice enough to let us swap the seats out with another 2006 F250 Crew Cab on the lot that had the front captains' chairs with the center seat.
Their upholstery guy did the work with the captains' chairs, but for liability reasons they wouldn't bolt the jumpseat in, since the truck we bought didn't have the studs in place. So, they sent it home with us and we're faced with putting it in. No problem, right?
Well... we found the place for the bolts to go, and thought we were home free. BUT... (see photo) - what have we done wrong?? The first photo (driver's side bolt of center seat) is fine, but the passenger side bolt hole is too close to where the front passenger seat needs to bolt in.
I would like information how to remove the rear seat back on a 2012 F250. I want to remove the head rests and from what I can find out they are bolted solid to the rear panel. I asked the same question earlier and got a reply for 2011, would that be the same? Is there any place I could get a schematic, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Looked at new replacement and no go. Is there a decent cover or a aftermarket replacement that looks good? The truck is not worth high end stuff, just would like it too look better
View 10 Replies2016 F250, took out the seats to remove the console and install the jump seat and upon installation I stripped the bold housing for the front left corner of the drivers seat. Now it won't tighten up. Am i going to have to tap the hole and get a bigger bolt now?
View 12 RepliesI have a 02 F250 4x4 5.4. As I drive and when pulling into a driveway I hear a clunk that can be felt in the floor and the steering wheel. I've replaced the wheel bearings and seals, shocks, ball joints, sway bar links and bushings, tie rod ends at the gear box and "right hand inner". The other two tie rods are tight and so is the track bar. I cannot duplicate the sound if I jack it up and move parts around with a pry bar. I can however move the steer box sector shaft upwards about an 1/8. I've adjusted the screw but it didn't do anything. Could it be the steer box or the springs? I've even mounted a GoPro underneath but everything moves and I can't tell why it is.

I swapped these seats into my OBS truck, but the driver's seat bottom has the typical wear/tear on it and its getting worse.
I have been searching for three days for a replacement bottom cover. I have found them for F150s and the pattern is close but not right. I cannot find them for F250s or F350s as I cannot find the proper part # for the gray DS cover.

My Dad has a 2006 F550 Lariat with the grey leather seats, and the drivers seat is starting to fall apart. So my Dad is wanting to replace it. My Dad thinks its from a lot of sliding in and out, and having all kinds of dirt and other stuff on it. It has a big spot torn in the lower left of it and then the armrest is starting to rip as well.
So I was wondering where a good place to get some replacement seats for it was. Definitely leather and grey to match the rear seats since its a crew cab. I don't think it necessarily has to be stock, but something that looks good and still at least somewhat matches the rear and rest of the interior.
Here's some pictures of the seat. Nice hole in the floor mat too. I think some nice plastic ones would work and look much better.
2001 F250. My drivers side seat belt buckle randomly releases and it's getting worse. Any sources on a new one or used even. Also, what other vehicles may have the same part number if I go used.
