2001 F250. My drivers side seat belt buckle randomly releases and it's getting worse. Any sources on a new one or used even. Also, what other vehicles may have the same part number if I go used.

The problem is while being worn sometimes they will not let you lean forward- they act like you have a foot on the brake pedal and are locked-you have to lean back and forth several times to get them to let out if reaching for something on the dash etc..
I have searched the forum and found many issues where the seat belts stopped retracting- but my issue seems to be unique in that the seat belt will at times 'Not Let Out" when you lean forward.
Steering problem... 2005 F250; Four Wheel Drive; Automatic; 93,000 miles; gas engine. The basic description that I have been giving people is that the steering will "stick" or "lock up" to the point that I have to use some force to get the steering wheel past the stuck point, when it releases, it's a " jerk, " THEN it sticks the other direction and I have to force the steering wheel back the other way again. So, in other words, when the truck decides to do this, in order to drive a straight line I am literally turning the wheel back and forth, probably only an eighth of a turn each way, but back and forth. If it's bad enough, I have to pull the truck over.
If I pull over, sit and turn the wheel back and forth a few times, loosening it up (when I'm stopped, I can't say that I really feel it stick at all), I can pull back on the road and be fine. A lot of the time, it happens right after I've turned a wide corner (not specifically right or left. It does it both ways), say taking a corner at an intersection as a yield or turning through a wide intersection onto say, an entrance ramp to the highway. I would say in a lot of cases, even when the truck doesn't have "an episode," I can still feel a stiff spot when I'm driving down the road/highway. This is not a vibration-type problem.
I have a 2001 f250 superduty 7.3L diesel and my air conditioner just randomly started blowing HOT south texas air. I tried to recharge it with refrigerant but the gauge said that it was over charged as soon as I plugged it into the low side port. What is wrong???
View 5 RepliesI have a 2001 f250 super duty extended cab with the v10. Over the past week it has been running fine and it will all of a sudden lose power and dies. I've been able to start it back up once right away and a few times it started up after a few hours of messing with it.
So, after the truck dies it will crank and crank but will not start. We have checked fuel pressure and nothing. Then we applied direct current to the fuel pump and it turns on. Then we applied direct current to the fuel pump slot in the fuse box and got a fuel pressure reading of 40 psi. But when we crank we have no pressure.
When we apply direct current to the fuel pump slot in the fuse box the truck will only crank and not start.
My "new" truck has a sluggish seatbelt on the driver's side. It won't retract all the way.
How do I get to the mechanism to have a look at it or put in a replacement?
The belt on this one comes out of the top of the seat, not from against the door.
The top mounting point on my seatbelt is squeaking like crazy. The guide for the seat belt is rubbing on the piece it bolts to because the plastic tabs on the plastic cover have worn out. Where to get a new one of these? Its just the plastic triangle shaped cover that goes over the seatbelt mount.

View 8 RepliesDoor chime /seat belt or key chime comes on random and frequently while driving. With seat belt attached. Bushings in shift handle are worn out. Could this be the culprit? I'd kind of prefer to fix the problem before I disconnect the chime...
View 1 Replies1999 f250 5.4L... Its done this 3 or 4 times now. Driving and it starts pulling to the right pretty bad, almost like if the front passenger tire was messed up or something. Today it did it, after I let it sit for a few min, then drove back to the house, it drove straight. Also, when it pulls to the right, its very sluggish, as if I'm pulling a very heavy load. From a stop, it doesn't even go until I hit the gas, and at that its very sluggish, sorts feels like if you drive off and forget the ebrake is on.
Also I've noticed some burning on the passenger side which I've read is probably the head gasket. I can see the oil dripping on the exhaust, causing the smoke. Also, my CEL just came on, with code P0401 "powertrain exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected". Recently changed the plugs because it was running and idling a little rough.
At this point in wondering if the pulling issue could be something with the brakes, when I'm driving, it sounds like something is rubbing, I haven't looked at the brakes yet but I'm likely going to do new pads and rotors all around soon anyways.
I have randomly getting in my sd. It is an 08 f250 xl with a 5.4. randomly my truck chime at me, hence why I haven't been able to capture it on video. It will chime twice. The sound is a subtle bong, bong. It is never predictable and never affects anything, but is annoying and I am curious as to why it does it.
View 14 RepliesI have (2) 2014 f250's both have given the trailer disconnected message randomly from the day they were new. Dealer says everything is with in specification. I just live with it now but something must be wrong with the design. Only does it when no trailer is connected an might be worse when it rains. Might have to hit the ok button every 10 minutes so on bad days.

View 3 RepliesI have a 2005 f250 that has a wander and a clunk what feels like under the drivers seat. The driver side bushing in the radius arm has no dirt and looks like wear on it compared to the passenger side which is completely covered in dirt. My question is, bushing wear out will cause wander and a clunk. Is it hard to replace?
View 3 RepliesAfter a 7 year love affair with our 2005 6.0L Excursion, we bought another 6.0L today - a 2006 F250 Crew Cab. It came with front buckets/console, and the used car lot (all diesel trucks...) was nice enough to let us swap the seats out with another 2006 F250 Crew Cab on the lot that had the front captains' chairs with the center seat.
Their upholstery guy did the work with the captains' chairs, but for liability reasons they wouldn't bolt the jumpseat in, since the truck we bought didn't have the studs in place. So, they sent it home with us and we're faced with putting it in. No problem, right?
Well... we found the place for the bolts to go, and thought we were home free. BUT... (see photo) - what have we done wrong?? The first photo (driver's side bolt of center seat) is fine, but the passenger side bolt hole is too close to where the front passenger seat needs to bolt in.
I would like information how to remove the rear seat back on a 2012 F250. I want to remove the head rests and from what I can find out they are bolted solid to the rear panel. I asked the same question earlier and got a reply for 2011, would that be the same? Is there any place I could get a schematic, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Looked at new replacement and no go. Is there a decent cover or a aftermarket replacement that looks good? The truck is not worth high end stuff, just would like it too look better
View 10 Replies2016 F250, took out the seats to remove the console and install the jump seat and upon installation I stripped the bold housing for the front left corner of the drivers seat. Now it won't tighten up. Am i going to have to tap the hole and get a bigger bolt now?
