Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2007 F250 - Misfire At Highway Speed

Have a 2007 F250 6.0 diesel with the standard issues including misfire at highway speed. Assume the bulletproof kit also cures the stiction problem? in reviewing the threads and looking at the vendors, references are made to fixing the oil cooler issue, egr issue, etc., but no one addresses stiction issue directly.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2007 F350 - Steering Play At Highway Speed Only?

I have a 2007 f350 scsb with the 6.0 that has 131k miles on it... I bought it in December at 125k and since I first got it I've noticed a lot of steering play at highway speeds only... Basically 60 mph and up... I have a hard time switching lanes and passing because it's very unpredictable just how the truck will behave... It feels like the steering is loose but also slightly delayed and when I make slight adjustments it feels like the truck overcorrects itself... Could this be a steering box issue? A power steering issue?

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2007 F250 - Shimmy When Accelerating From A Stop / Turning Right Or Left

2007 F250 SD Crew Cab Long Bed 4X4 with 6.0. Bulletproofed, leveling springs, 5k firestone airbags, upgraded brakes, new front driveshaft and new universals and carrier bearing on rear u joint.

The issue: When accelerating from a stop or a slow rolling start, turning right or left, I get a shimmy (vibration) that seems to be coming from under my feet. Not a violent shimmy, but enough to make me certain that something is loose or out of alignment in the drivetrain. IT IS NOT THE REAR END as friends have constantly told me. Rear end was serviced and cluth packs lubricated with no change in issue.

What I've done: Changed transfer case fluid, new front driveshaft, new u joints and carrier bearing on rear driveshaft. There has been no improvement after these repairs, if anything the vibration is a little worse and easier to induce.

I've been chasing this problem for over a year. Going to be pulling a Toy Hauler out west this falls and really need to repair this for my piece of mind..

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Inconsistent Idle When Sitting At A Red Light

I have a 2016 F-350 with the 6.7L diesel in it. Truck has 10,000 miles on it now.

Since about 3 days now it's giving me grief at idle, e.g. sitting at a red light. The idle is very inconsistent, I can see it on the gauge and you can also hear it rev up then slow down. When the idle rpms drop down (below the 500rpm mark) the whole truck shakes for a second then the rpms come back up. then drop down, back up,... and so on. It does it regardless of gear, it's more pronounced even in P or N.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Rear End Shudders When Braking At Highway Speeds

I have an '04 EX with 6.0. When braking at highway speeds the rear end shudders until I get the truck slowed down some. Around town speeds of 45 or less the problem is almost non-existent. It almost seems to be hydraulic instead of pads/rotor issue. Wouldn't a warped rotor show up at slower speeds as well? I have some good mechanics around, but have never found a great brake shop that I can trust. Go in needing pads and they try and upsell saying this or that is going out.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Shimmy At 45 And Up

Can't figure it out, I have a shimmy at 45 and up, but not all the time. I have had the whole front end apart for other reason, but the wobble is still there not as often though. Here is what I have done so far.

Left wheel bearing had play in it, replaced that, while that was off checked all ball joints no play at all, remove axle shaft replaced all seals on it inspected u joint in excellent shape. removed right hub because it will not hold vacuum removed axle on right replaced all seals and inspected joint it was fine, ball joints fine also. EOSF now works as designed
Found left front caliper seized replaced and retested ok
Cleaned inspected and relubed auto locking hubs.

Checked all the steering components they are tight except sway bar links make noise over bumps taking care of that this week. Most of the time the truck runs smooth as silk no wander in steering or nothing but then I will just shimmy out of nowhere. I was thinking of taking the front drive shaft off to check those u joints but didn't think that would cause this.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: No Signal From Rear ABS Speed Sensor

I went to have the code read, and it was no signal from the rear ABS speed sensor. I replaced the sensor, and the light is still on. Also my speedo is off a bit. It is reading about 7-10 miles an hour faster than what it should. The mechanic can't seem to find the issue. I have a 06 F250, Powerstroke.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Rear End Wobble At 40 - 50 MPH Until Speed Up Or Slow Down?

Ive had this 2009 F250 4x4 Super Crew, 6.4 for 2 years now. Bought it the way it sits with a 6" ProComp lift and 37" Yokohama Open Countrys. Recently, once I get up to 40-45 mph, the rear end starts vibrating violently until I speed up or slow down. There isn't any clanking noise and it's silent. I look in the mirrors to see if it's the tires but they appear to be rotating smoothly. It's never done this before. It's like a tire is out of balance but it shakes much harder than that should be at that speed. It rides smooth as can be at any other speed all the way up to 80 mph which is the faster than i drive. What this could be? I've done searches but can only find info on the front end death wobble which is not the case here.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Speed Nut For Rear Leaf Spring

Where I can get or have a speed nut for the front eye bolt of the right rear leaf spring? If you do I'll gladly send you some cash for it and to cover shipping it. It's supposed to rain pretty much all week here and I really don't want to go to a junkyard. I have checked ford parts and nothing there you can get the hanger that attaches to the frame that the spring bolts to but not the speed nut or bolt only need the speed nut though. Truck is an 2004 f-250 so 1999-04 will work and 05 to 07 is setup the same in the rear but I don't know if they are the same size bolt since they made the frame heavier. I have no idea after 07 when they made the springs longer.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: F250 4wd - Shimmy At Around 65 To 75 MPH When Going Downhill Only?

My 1999 F250 has a pretty good shimmy at around 65 to 75 but only when going down hill. It seems to intensify on the steeper grades. I am thinking possibly not enough caster and when going down hill the geometry changes enough to start the shimmy. It will subside as soon as it levels out. Up hill or level it drives fine and is smooth and steers well. It has the solid front 4wd axle....

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: ABS Light Came On And Throwing A Rear Speed Sensor Code

I've got a 2006 F350 5.4L.

The ABS light came on and it was throwing a 'rear speed sensor' code. I searched around and it seemed to be a common issue that the sensor goes bad and needs to be replaced.

I bought a sensor and replaced it, but in doing so, I saw that while the sensor was indeed bad (cracked) the wire right at the connector was corroded.

I replaced the sensor but the ABS light is still on the dash. Is it possible that they code simply needs to be cleared? I was able to read it with my OBD2 dongle and Dash Command App, but maybe I'm not able to clear it?

Or is it more likely that the corroded wire on the connector is the issue? (it wasn't fully corroded and I cleaned it up and sealed it.). It didn't look like I could pull the wires out of the connector, so I assume I'll need a new connector. What is the part number?

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2003 F250 V10 - Inconsistent Tapping Coming From Passenger Side Valve Cover

I just bought myself a 2003 F250 XLT with the V10 in it. Low miles, not beat, 6 speed, very happy with it. I noticed today that there was an inconsistent tapping coming from the passenger side valve cover. I searched online and was pointed towards the PCV baffle. I pulled the breather hose off and stuck my finger in the hole, and the baffle is indeed detached. Now I know that I need to pull the valve cover now to at least remove the baffle; is there anyway to reattach the baffle, or do I need to buy a new valve cover?

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2007 F250 - 2nd Speed For Blower Motor Don't Work

I have and 07 F250 and the #2 speed for the blower motor don't work (hasn't since I bought it) I read that the most common cause of this is the resistor under the hood on the firewall so I replaced that and still no 2nd speed??? Where I look next? Motor itself maybe?

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: F350 4WD With Locking Hubs - Shimmy / Vibration

I drove my pickup on mostly dry pavement the other day with it in 4WD and the hubs locked. I got a bit of shimmy/vibration which quit after about a mile. When I got back on ice, the 4WD wasn't working. I assumed the transfer case or locking hubs had failed. Today I got it up on jack stands, put it in 4WD, and locked the hubs. Everything seems fine. What might have happened when I couldn't get 4WD to function.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2007 F250 Auto 4x4 Not Engaging - Rear Wheels Spinning / Front Did Not Turn

Yesterday I was parked on an incline with my front wheels on gravel and the rear wheels on wet grass/mud. When I tried to go, the rear wheels started spinning. I then switched on the low 4x4, and tried to go. The rear wheels continued to spin, but the front did not turn. I had new wheels installed, that has a cap that covers the manual locking hub, so I couldn't turn it to lock the hub. What should I look for to fix the problem?

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2003 - Whine On Highway At 70 - 80 Mph?

My 2003 just doesn't drive right anymore. I bought some new tires and all of a sudden it crabs when on the highway 70-80 mph. I have new ball joints. Hubs, and a few other front end parts to rectify the issue with no luck. Alignment shops haven't been any favor either. Tire shop replaced the tires with sweet michelins that worked minimally. So I went to measure the wheelbase, center to center and sure enough there is a 1-1/2" difference between the left and right side. I have had a few minor bumper dings, one at appx 20 mph, but nothing earth shattering. Can something be loose in the rear end? It does feel like the rear wants to swing around and be in front.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Noise Noticeable When Cruise Down The Highway

02 f250 SD 5.4 zf6 manual xcase ext cab long bed...

When I'm cruising down the highway it's most noticeable. 5th gear anywhere from 65mph+ I'll let off the gas and it'll make a "errrRRRt" until I press the gas again. I've recently installed new :

- Front u joints, ball joints, hub assemblies, rotors, calipers, pads
- Rear drive shaft u joints
- Front diff fluid
- Trans fluid
- Tcase fluid
- 4" zone lift kit

All of these things did nothing to effect the noise. it seems to be coming from between the clutch and rear shaft (either clutch, trans, tcase). I don't think it is a motor noise or suspension noise.

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 7.3 - Stumble And Misfire At Highway Speeds

The other day I pulled into the parking lot put it in park and let it idle for a couple minutes, it stumbled and when I started driving off it was missing. I pulled the valve covers off and check the connection.. I drove it home and it had a bad misfire at 1500 RPMs. The truck shook violently at that RPM but when I got it up over 2000 smooths out..

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2011 F250 Shake At Highway Speeds Around 70 To 75 MPH

I have a 2011 f250 6.2 cclb and it shakes around 70 to 75 mph. Not terribly but enough to annoy the crap out of me. Now I have put new tires on it recently, new Rancho 9900 adjustable shocks, I have it aligned regularly and tires rotated and balanced every 5000 miles or so. I have had two dealerships look at and my local shop and they can't see anything visibly wrong with it.
