I recently got a 2009 f350 lariat, the mirrors have the "heated" emblem on them but for the life of me I cant find a switch anywhere to turn them on, are they automatic?

View 3 RepliesMy father has a 04 f350 crew with heated mirrors. It does not have rear window defrost. The mirrors will not defrost, So I checked fuse panel under dash and no bad fuses. We don't have a owners manual so we weren't sure which fuse was for mirrors. What should we check next??? I tried searching forum but couldn't find much about the testing of the mirrors.
View 13 RepliesI just bought a 2001 F250 XLT and it came with the standard power paddle mirrors. I would love to add the towing mirrors (preferably heated with signals), but what I am wondering is if the connectors for the mirrors are the same. Also would my truck that came with the standard paddle mirrors be wired for turn signals and heated options? How would I test for this? Also do all XLT's come prewired for the hardwire keyless entry pad if they have keyless entry?
View 1 RepliesI have a 09 F350 Lariat SuperCrew SRW 4x4, Last night the ignition key would not turn at all. Tried wiggling the steering wheel, (noticed it wasn't locked), wiggled the shift lever (auto trans). After about an hour of "beatn and jiggling, it just started working!?? What caused this, neither does my dealers service dept. It's working fine now.

View 6 RepliesI have a 2011 F350 with the towing package. I got it used as it and it was a northern truck. My towing mirrors won't extend in or out. They fold and unfold just fine. When I press the button to telescope them I can hear the motor running so I know the fuse is good. I took the glass off the mirrors and scraped some salt out of the joints. I sprayed some lube on the joints as well but still no luck. I also tried forcing them but not too much to avoid breaking them.
View 1 RepliesComing back from a trip I got a e-brake light show up on the dash then noticed the signals stopped working and the heated seats no longer turn on. I scanned it with my AE and got a brake fluid sensor error come up but nothing about the signals .... is this a common problem or is there a connection between all this? 2003 F350 6.0L .....
View 2 Replies08 F-350 Lariat. Folded mirrors in twice today. Second time they would not come back out. After four hours the fold function has not returned. As I read Owner's Manual, if it's a fuse it should take out power to driver's seat . . . correct? All other mirror functions including telescope seem to work normally. So if I've identified the fuse correctly what else could it be? Fold relay? Switch? Where is the fold relay located and how can one test it? What pins on the switch are the fold pins? I just looked at power distribution box schematic. Power fold mirror relay fuse is there. Apparently the only function it has. Better go check it out.
View 5 Replies2012 f250 diesel Lariat 4dr 4x4. He called me today cause he knows I do all the work on my own F250 diesel. He has heated seats in the back and he said that they turn on by them selves and they won't turn off. He had to actually disconnect the wire harness to get the heating elements to turn off so his wife's friends wouldn't burn their bottoms in the middle of august is Texas.. Any ways, he said both sides are staying on and wouldn't turn off using the switch.
I'm not very familiar with the heated seat wiring, especially for the back seats. I told him their may have been a relay that went bad, but now I"m thinking that they much have a controller or something that is acting up. He said that the front seats are acting normal. Also, he has the touch screen and navigation upgrade as well as auto climate control, not sure if this stuff matters for the back seats though...
Its and 09, I can hear a relay click under the dash. It has gotten really hot since i bought it in sept to the point where I had to turn it off because I thought it was going to burn my bottom. I am guessing its not an easy fix.
View 4 RepliesI'm replacing tow mirrors on my 2004 F250 with 2008 mirrors. Both are factory Ford mirrors. Need wiring diagram since connectors and wires are different. They both have power mirrors, turn signals, heated mirrors, but are not power retract or fold.
View 1 RepliesOdd thing happened. All of a sudden the factory emblem on my 2008 tailgate totally lost all of its blue and is now pure chrome. Happened just like that.
Anyway, is it screwed on and do I need to pull the panel on the tailgate to remove it? Here's the tailgate on my truck for reference.
I just got a 2000 F350 cc drw 7.3l.
I did search but have had no luck. My turn signals do not work, unless my foot is on the brake pedal my green arrow indicator wont even turn on. When they do my bulbs work but don't cycle so I know all the bulbs are good as I had my wife check all four corners when I got them to come on for a split second. I have tried replacing the MFS and the turn signal relay under the radio in the dash.... When I do turn on my blinkers I can hear the relay click once but that is it, no more.
I tried checking the wiring in the column and tilting the column to its extremes while trying to engage the turn signals. Also, if I unplug the brake light switch then I do not get an arrow on the IC to light up so I am guessing the power flows through that switch. I don't have a chilton manual yet and the owners manual was not in the truck. I did check fuse 23 ?
I have a 2004 F350. I go out to start my vehicle and it may or may not turn over. Other time it starts fine

I am trying to find my ABS controller because I have an intermittent ABS light on the dash and the code says something about signal loss on more than one wheel. So I assume I have bad wiring or a loose plug somewhere.
I found this (pic attached) on the left hand side under (or a little behind) drivers seat mounted under truck on the frame rail. I think it is the control module but when I tested wiring I found no continuity to any of the ABS wheel sensors.
Is this the control module?
I have a 2002 F350 V10 and one night I turned the headlights on and when the ignition switch was turned to the off position the lights would go off. When the ignition switch is turned off the lights come back on. I changed the ignition switch but the problem still exists.

View 2 RepliesMy truck has been sitting for 3 years and I want to bring it back from retirement. I changed oil, checked fluids, replaced the starter, starter solenoid/relay and tossed in a 2 yr old charged battery (800CA). She would not turn over and I jumped with another vehicle. She turned right over and with an insane dust cloud! I went to disconnect jumped cables and it died. I assume the alternator is shot.
Jumped again to bring up to temp so I could check tranny fluid. It was running for about 5 minutes and just quit. Nothing mechanically to my knowledge caused this. It quit peacefully. I went to fire it back up and all I get is a click at relay on inner fender. The new one. Even while jumping..... What I should test/diagnose next.
2004 F350 6.0 Diesel 2WD, Question is my trailor lights running lights work fine also the electric brake, but i have no stop or right or left turn signals the truck signals are all working perfect. The truck came with factory wiring i have checked it at the plug on the bumper with meter to make sure it was not the trailor. Looked for blown fuses and cant find anything what am i missing it should have seperate fuses for trailor lights ??
View 14 RepliesI have a 2003 F350 V10, was pulling out of the driveway earlier with no issue, then as soon as I went up the road my truck started to sputter and it died. Went to start and it just clicked and wouldn't turn over? I tried jump starting it which worked, but once the cables were off within a minute the truck would die. Got it back home and now the windows won't roll up but the radio works and the door locks work.
