Its and 09, I can hear a relay click under the dash. It has gotten really hot since i bought it in sept to the point where I had to turn it off because I thought it was going to burn my bottom. I am guessing its not an easy fix.
View 4 RepliesComing back from a trip I got a e-brake light show up on the dash then noticed the signals stopped working and the heated seats no longer turn on. I scanned it with my AE and got a brake fluid sensor error come up but nothing about the signals .... is this a common problem or is there a connection between all this? 2003 F350 6.0L .....
View 2 RepliesI have a 2001 for f250 with the electronic shift on the fly and when I turn the switch to put it in 4hi or low nothing happens I don't hear a click and the lights don't come on but the 4wd light works it comes on when I first start the truck and I put different relays in that we're good and still nothing I tested the the relay box itself for power and there wasn't any.
I used the truck last year for plowing and it worked sometimes it wouldn't go In or come out but after a few tries it would end up working but I've tried everything I could think of I'm starting to think it's something electrical because the relay box isn't getting power to it but idk if a vacuum leak would do that or a bad transfer case motor or iwe solenoid or if it's something more like a broken wire some where.
My heated seat that quit. Pass side heated seat on my 07 went out. The light on the button stays on, where do I start diagnosing to figure out if it is the back or bottom that went out?
View 4 RepliesI'm hoping this might be a "quick fix". Got in the truck the other day and my power driver's seat had no function what so ever. Not a big deal for me as I drive with the seat all the way back but the complaints are starting from my wife so it's time to find a fix.
This is the first F250 I've had so the wiring is a little new to me. I checked the fuse panel and the fuse seemed okay I swapped #9 out for #22 as they are both 30A and I don't need the trailer at this time but still no luck.
Are there any other systems tied into the driver's power seat, any wiring harnesses I should check or perhaps a fuse that is not shown in the owner's manual? My truck is the 2013 Gas F250.
The drivers seat heat on my 2010 F-150 stopped working. The passengers side works fine. When I press the button on the dash, it lights for 2-3 seconds, then goes out. I have been looking around all weekend for a fix. I found many posts, but they are older and the equipment I'm seeing on my 2010 F-150 looks different. I found the wires coming from the heating pad. I was going to try and test for continuity but the wires have a plastic fitting and I can't get contact to the wires. I found a diagram on Foreparts.com showing that the heated seat control module is part # 14C724. I was able to locate on the passengers side, but not on the drivers side so I wasn't able to swap and see if that was the problem.
View 2 RepliesI have an 02 F250 6.8 with 51,000 miles on it. I recently replaced the battery about a week ago, and only actually drove it yesterday for the first time since replacing the battery. I drove it about 25 miles, parked, and when I went to restart, it wouldn't. The starter doesn't crank, so I mean its not a cranking issue as in cranking, and not starting. It only clicks at the relay when turning the key. It acts like when you try to use a wrong chip coded key.
All of the dash lights came on, and I can hear the relay clicking, but that's it. I swapped the relays around, and no luck. If I let it sit a while, about an hour, it will fire right up. The battery cables are tight and free of corrosion. I am curious, since I just put in a new battery, could this be the culprit? Why will it start fine cold, but not hot? I have NEVER had an issue with this truck until now.
I have a 2009 f350 xlt with sync and steering wheel controls that the stereo quit working on and I want to replace and I am having trouble finding the correct one that will work with sync. One of the local auto wreckers has a 2010 f350 lariat with the touch screen that they are willing to let go for a reasonable price. Will that head unit work in my truck without major wiring?

View 13 RepliesI have an '07 Saturn Relay. The drivers side heated seat has quit working, the passenger side works fine. When I turn the warmer switch on, the switch lights up but the seat never gets warm on the high or low mode of the switch. After a while the light on the switch goes off, it used to stay on all the time. What could be wrong and how can I check it?

View 5 RepliesWe got a ton of snow dumped on us today and for some reason my 4WD has decided not to work this year. I have a 2000 F250 4WD Triton V10. The hubs click into the lock position and the dial on the dash lights up 4x4 but I am definitively not engaging into 4WD. I'm pissed because this is specifically the reason i bought a 4WD and it's failing me. I can't find a fuse panel diagram to save my life however all the fuses in the interior of truck look to be fine.

View 9 RepliesLast week I noticed my fogs stopped working. So I figured there may be a chance that they were burnt out. Hooked them straight to a battery and they work. Next I checked power at the plugs and no power. Checked the fuse and blown. The only fuse I had on me was a 25 amp fuse. Big mistake. Smoke started coming from the fuse box (palm to the forehead). Well it didn't blow the fuse but still nothing. I got power at the headlight switch and started tracing wires. From what I had read there is relay but it is inside the fuse box? Is this correct. I'm trying to pin point where the problem lies. There aren't any burnt up wires behind the fuse box and now I'm at a loss.
View 7 RepliesAll my door locks stopped working in my 2008 F250 Crew Fx4. Locks do not work from a driver or pass. door, key fob, or door keyless pad. When you hit any of the switches you can hear a relay type sound in the SJB.
There was some sort of failure because we could smell it. But I am not sure if it was the SJB that failed or a wire between the SJB and the lock motors.
Looking for a wiring diagram of the door lock circuit? And/or know how to troubleshoot to find the bad wire or if it is the SJB that failed.
Ok I've done some searching and reading and really haven't found a answer. My 99 f250 sd 4x4 v10 with a automatic transmission stock hubs with ESOF. I checked the fuses under steering wheel. All good. Showing no error codes. Replaced vacuum lines. I've been driving it for some time only using the lock outs on the hub. Whats different is there is no light on dash stating 2wd, 4wd or low. And when manually locked they don't move in snow. new hubs? I don't really care about switching with ESOF I just need 4WD for plowing!

I have used it a few times since getting it a few months ago and then last night I was going to play paintball in the woods and the 4wd would not engage? when i put it in 4wd it would act like the truck is in neutral and then it lurched forward? The front hubs have the option on them to turn, but I never had to turn them before and they do not move when I tried to? What could be causing the 4wd not to function?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2013 F350 Lariat. Recently, the backup camera has stopped working about 1/3rd of the time. When it doesn't work, a yellow triangle icon appears on the screen with " Camera unavailable. See dealer." The dealer has checked it, twice, and is unable to locate the problem.

About 3 weeks ago (1,000 miles ago) I took my truck in for an A/C problem. The A/C quit blowing cold air. They diagnosed the problem as something inside the dashboard was broken and they needed to completely remove the dashboard to fix it. The repair worked, A/C was back, and I was good to go.
Last week my Satellite Radio and Navigation stopped working. I was getting a "NO GPS" message on the navigation screen and an error on the Satellite Radio screen saying something to the extent of there was no connection with the satellite antenna. I wasn't sure if something failed or if the dealership screwed something up during the A/C repair.
I booked an appointment and took my truck into the dealer that's 50 miles away from my house. The dealer took the truck, put me in a rental, and I came home. As soon as I got home I got a phone call from the dealer saying a cable had to be replaced and they were taking care of the parts and labor. When I asked him what caused this cable to fail (was it a defect, or was it damaged during the A/C repair), he said he didn't know. But, I'd need to pay for the rental car for the day and that they would make me another appointment to do the installation. At that point I asked the service adviser to have their manager call me ASAP. Two hours later I still haven't gotten a call.
Am I wrong to think that it's not fair that I pay for this rental car? My thinking is if it's defective it should be replaced and I should be put in a rental in the meantime. I paid additional for the rental car coverage to include any repairs and the first day of the repairs... but If it's the dealer's screw up, they should be bending over backwards trying to correct the issue and at least pay for the rental car for the day...
2001 F250 SD 7.3 PSD Was doing a trailer towing road trip too and from Montana. On the way back the cruise control stopped working. Checked fuse #28. Looked fine. Attempted to do a self test on the cruise control. Holding the OFF button did nothing. Never went into diagnostic mode. Button ? A different fuse?
