I have an '07 Saturn Relay. The drivers side heated seat has quit working, the passenger side works fine. When I turn the warmer switch on, the switch lights up but the seat never gets warm on the high or low mode of the switch. After a while the light on the switch goes off, it used to stay on all the time. What could be wrong and how can I check it?

View 4 RepliesThe drivers seat heat on my 2010 F-150 stopped working. The passengers side works fine. When I press the button on the dash, it lights for 2-3 seconds, then goes out. I have been looking around all weekend for a fix. I found many posts, but they are older and the equipment I'm seeing on my 2010 F-150 looks different. I found the wires coming from the heating pad. I was going to try and test for continuity but the wires have a plastic fitting and I can't get contact to the wires. I found a diagram on Foreparts.com showing that the heated seat control module is part # 14C724. I was able to locate on the passengers side, but not on the drivers side so I wasn't able to swap and see if that was the problem.
View 2 RepliesI noticed the other day that my passenger side heated seat is partially not working. The seat back is heated, but not the seat bottom. The driver's seat works perfectly.
I did a test over a 10 minute time period with the car idling in the garage (door open) and the HVAC system off. I did not touch the seats during the test. I took all readings with a contact-less infrared thermometer. At the beginning of the test, each seat portion was at 14C (57F). At the end of 10 minutes, the Driver's seat bottom and back, and the passenger's back had heated up to 20-22C (68-72F), but the passenger seat bottom had cooled down to 10C (50F). This temperature was the ambient temperature outside with the garage door open.
I checked the fuse, which of course it would be alright as 3/4 of the system is working. I took a look under the defective seat, but with the amplifier there, I didnt have much room to maneuver my big hands. All of the wiring harnesses looked like they were in place.
Its and 09, I can hear a relay click under the dash. It has gotten really hot since i bought it in sept to the point where I had to turn it off because I thought it was going to burn my bottom. I am guessing its not an easy fix.

View 4 RepliesPrius four with heated leather seats noticed especially on the drivers side seat bottom on the side bolster just as you slide in not the center section. I noticed it when new, it looks like a maybe wire between the leather and seat foam.
View 4 Replies9000 Miles latter: The driver side heated seat has given up the ghost. Also, the digital clock on the dash keep gaining time. VW says there is nothing wrong with the computer and they have thrown up there hands.
The clock has probably gained an hour in the last month. I know the car is German not Swiss but a digital clock should not do this and causes me concern that there might be other ECU issues.
I am having a problem with my driver's side heated seats on my 2011 Elantra. When I press the button to turn on the heated seats, the lights on the button turn on for about 1 second, and then turn off. The passenger side and back seats are all heating properly...just for some reason my driver's heated seats don't turn on. I stuck my hand under the seat and it feels like everything is connected. Any reason why the lights on the heated seat button turn on for about 1 second, and then turn off?
View 12 RepliesI bought my Saturn Vue Hybrid and was driving for a week when I heard a sound while driving and suddenly the air conditioning quit working and started blowing hot air. I took it to Pep Boys and they told me to take it to a dealership. After three hours and 143 bucks I was told the A/C clutch appears to have come off of the compressor. I have noticed others have had this same issue in Hybrids. Is this a recall or what do I do since this repair is not a cheap one? Also, what other models have the same ac compressor/ clutch for purchasing?

View 2 RepliesTroubleshooting a headlight problem on a 2004 V8 Touareg. Driver's side xenon low beam flickered rapidly and then quit working. I replaced xenon bulb with OEM part, still not working. Swapped in known good bulb from passenger's side, still not working. Took to dealership, who said it needed new ballast, which dealer would be happy to install for a mere $900 in parts and labor. Declined dealer's offer, ordered new replacement OEM ballast (from Chrysler dealer for several hundred less than VW), installed new ballast, still not working. Cleared all fault codes using VAG-COM, still not working. Swapped in known good ballast from passenger's side headlight, still not working. Auto-leveling is still working in both lights. So...not the bulb, not the ballast. Wiring harness, perhaps?
