I replaced my Entune unit on my 2013 Persona with a Pioneer Avic Z150BH, best decision I ever made. I expected to lose steering wheel controls for the radio and hands free, but I did not expect to lose the steering wheel controls for my climate control and multi function display. I can no longer use the Disp, Trip, and climate control buttons now.
View 7 RepliesMost will agree it would be nice if the steering wheel controls were brighter. There has to be a tech out there that knows where the light source comes from. ( Its not magic.) If its a bulb,can a brighter one be installed??
View 8 RepliesI use my touch screen a lot on my prius. When I do use my steering wheel controls for the radio it won't change from station settings 1-2-3. But it will change stations on station settings 1-2-3. Is it possible to use the steering wheel controls to go through all of the radio stations? This might allow me to stop using my touch screen controls so much.
View 8 RepliesOwner of a brand new '13 Prius C Two. No "Entune" system, just the basic radio. I connect my iPhone 5 via Bluetooth; it works wonderfully. I can still use the handset controls to make phone calls; I have speed dials set up, and using my iPhone 5 as a phone in the car works great.
What stopped working this morning: skipping tracks using either the "Seek" button on the Prius radio itself as well as the controls on the steering wheel. Volume controls on the radio itself AND on the steering wheel work just fine for adjusting the volume.
The "Pause/Play" button on the Prius radio does work, but only after about :04 seconds or so. A song or podcast will play; the steering wheel controls for skipping tracks does not work; same with the Seek button on the radio itself; and pressing the pause/play button works, but not immediately after depressing it. Takes a few seconds.The only way to skip ahead/backward is on the iPhone itself.
For the almost 2 months I've owned the Prius C, this is the first time this has happened. Connecting audio via Bluetooth has "just worked" every single day. What's perplexing about this is that I've changed nothing on the iPhone overnight. The Seek button on the Prius radio worked fine yesterday, as did the steering wheel controls not even 24 hours ago.
The Seek button on the radio itself does work with the radio and a CD. Same with the steering wheel controls; as long as I'm not trying to control the iPhone, it works fine.
I've been having a few problems with keeping my ipod connected with Entune. I was working fine but lately the ipod screen keeps saying loading. Then when I switch to another source like FM, then back to Ipod, I also get a "Function not available" screen. The only thing that has fixes this is to hard reboot my ipod, and turn off the car and restart.

View 12 RepliesI have it set to switch automatically, but at night it doesn't darken. I have to go into the map settings and back, then it updates or something and turns on the night mode. Does that use the light sensor, or the time of day?
View 12 RepliesSince having the latest entune update at the dealer, my GPS screen now automatically dims too much when the ambient light is lower in the evening. Tried messing around with the contrast and brightness controls and the rotary dimmer control on the left side of the dash.
Could not get the brightness to be like it was before the update. Street names are pretty much illegible at night. If I raise the brightness at night to the point where I can read the street names, the entire screen is super bright on the eyes.
Took the car to the dealer and they surprisingly agreed this is abnormal. Have an appointment next week to have this problem investigated.?
I was uber excited to update the Entunes system after the app updated itself on my phone (Nexus 6). I was looking forward to the iHeartRadio update, since I didn't understand the ability to listen to radio stations from other locales before. The update was supposed to allow you to listen to artist stations though, and pick up from where you left off if you were previously listening on desktop or mobile. However, I have not been able to connect to the app ever since the update, and it never establishes a successful connection.
I don't entirely care for Pandora since their algorithms leave you listening to the same blend over and over, and their ads are not customized and annoying, and although I'm playing with the new Slacker addition, I'd like to utilize the iHeartRadio function too. For now, I'm mostly using Google Play Music or Songza over Bluetooth.
I am enjoying the Entune System on my Prius C but I got a question? When using voice commands for playing a song on the USB drive it will list that as song 1/1 which is what it should do, If I choose a artist and album it will list all songs from that album. but how do I return to the playing the USB drive to play all songs from all artists?

I am trying to swap out the stock steering wheel for another one and have following the instruction here.
However, even after removing the center nut I still cannot get the steering wheel out. I have tired pulling it hard and tapping it lightly but no success.
How to get the steering wheel to come out at this point?
I discovered shortly after I bought my (used) 2012 C 4 that I couldn't turn off the radio. The volume knob didn't push in to turn off. Not a big deal, but I mentioned it to the dealer and they ordered me a new replacement knob. In the meantime, I just swapped the tuning knob over to the volume side and it's all fine. But I also discovered that the tuning knob side does push in – even with the broken knob – and not only that, it beeps when you push it. What is it supposed to be doing other than tune stations/change tracks? The Entune radio has a separate function for tone, balance, fader, etc., so it isn't doing that with the knob.
View 2 RepliesI use my iphone via bluetooth to play my music and podcasts. If it's wireless I have no control over the folders through the audio controls. I have to manually go through the folders on my phone to cue up what I want to play. Which seems counter productive. I can skip forward to the next song and pause/play but that's it. If I have it plugged into the USB I can control the folders when I am in ipod mode. But it wont let me play it. I then have to switch to BTA to play it. Then back to ipod if I want a different folder or playlist.
View 8 RepliesJust got a 2012 c3, and I'm trying to get my iPod Nano (4th gen) to show up on the display as an iPod, controllable from the steering wheel and display. The manual says this iPod model is compatible. The iPod software is up to date.
If I plug my iPod into the AUX with a standard audio cable, it plays over the speakers fine but the display shows only "aux" and has no controls for it. If I plug it into the USB with an Apple cable, it doesn't plays over the speakers at all, and the USB doesn't show up as active on the display -- it's grayed out. I tested the cable elsewhere and confirmed it's fine.
MP3 Audio controls (folder list/file list) on the touch screen gets disabled when driving at higher than 5 miles per hour. When asked at dealer they said it is kept for safety :mod: and can't change the the way it behaves.
While going for long drive it doesn't feel good. Only the driver is driving, what about the passenger sitting all the way? At least passenger should have the control. How to activate the MP3 controls while driving. Click to expand...
The right side of my (2011 level II) steering wheel has five buttons: Trip, Dist, air recirc, temp +/-. All but Trip and Dist are duplicates of nice big buttons on the climate console, so are rather redundant.
View 7 RepliesLooking for the wiring diagram for the steering wheel controls for the head unit, mainly which wire is volume. I bought a new head unit for my 04 f150 truck and cant find the wiring diagram online to figure it out. I know there are 3 separate connections.
1 main one for power, gnd, ant, speakers, etc..
1 for the subwoofer if your truck came with it which mine did.
1 for the steering wheel controls if your truck came with it which mine did.
I want to know what the different color wires are connected to on the steering wheel control connection. i have had no luck searching online for about an hour. I know I could buy an adapter but really only want the volume to work and figured if I could just tap into that one wire and connect it to my new head unit.
The Vent/defrost/front/rear buttons on the steering wheel quit working so I replaced them, still not working, so I replaced the Clock spring, still not working. The controls on the touch screen works fine its just the steering wheel buttons that don't work.
View 3 RepliesMy 05 has a problem with the recirculate and defrost buttons on the wheel. The recirculate button will sometimes toggle the MFD between the consumption screen and the energy monitor screen like the info button does and won't change the recirculate light on the dash at all. Sometimes it will do nothing, and other times it works normal changing from outside air to recirculate. Also the defrost button will sometimes turn on the windshield defroster with 1 push then turn on the rear defroster with a second push and both will go off on the 3rd push.
Other times both defrost buttons will do nothing or work normally. When the wheel buttons are acting up the MFD will control both the recirculate and defrost functions normally so I don't think the MFD is the problem. The 12 volt battery has been checked and is good at 12.4 volts and there is no malfunction lights or codes set in the system. All the other buttons on the wheel function normally. What to check?
I have an '07 Prius without factory Nav and about a month ago I had to replace the MFD because of this (it still displayed fine, just wouldn't respond to touches).
I realized that I wouldn't be able to fully control the A/C or audio anymore, pair a Bluetooth phone, etc. So I got the service tech at the dealership to give me the part number I needed, and I went online looking for it.
What I was wondering is whether this failure is common?
Any way to access the nav to play video on it via RCA? I did this in my Acura tl with a module I purchased.
