Turned off my DRL's with the key/turn signal. The dash lights are great, see everything better, esp during the day with my shades on.
I know there is a sensor, I think near the MFI.
I have a 1981 F100, lately when I've been driving at night I notice my headlights, dash lights, and charging light will flicker at the same time, and even sometimes my headlights will flash on and off by themselves.

View 4 RepliesBoth of my headlights are aimed too low. the left one seems to be even lower than the right. I took it into the dealer & apparently the leveling unit isn't responding & they're going to replace module tomorrow. (part is being rushed in)
Anyhow, i also noticed that prior to this trip to the dealer i had my DRL lights off. Now i guess they turned em back on because they're on all the time now. I don't like that option on, looks like I'm going to have to get my own VAG work done.
Both main headlights stopped working at the same time. The low beams work, the high beams work, but nothing from the outer headlights. I swapped out the Euroswitch, with the Oem and still no luck.

View 5 RepliesI seem to have a problem with my jetta. It's the 1.8t. When I turn the turn signal on, I can see the dash and headlights dim. Also when I tried putting both windows up at the same time, the car seemed to short out and almost shut off. It reset the time and trip mileage when it did so.

But even when not fiddling with the dial, I hear an electric motor sounding noise from them time to time, just a short <1s whirring sound. I listen with the bonnet open and I'm pretty sure it's coming from the headlights. Is this normal? is there any way I can stop it?

Now the ABS and BRAKE lights flash and the headlights are still on and off. I have already scraped (not cleaned) most of the corrosion off of the terminals on the battery and tightened the connections...
View 3 Repliesi have a 2010 f-150. during the day normal sunshine the gauge area is to dark to see any unless you put your head down close to the steering wheel.at night when the lights are on it is just great. At dusk the lights on the dash come on by them self. is there something i can do to have them on all the time i have good eyes & do not wear glasses.
View 6 RepliesI am having a problem with my 2004 Toyota Camry XLE V6 brakes. For the past couple months I keep seeing the brake dash light turn on and the brake fluid is constantly going down but I don't see any wet spots under the car. I needed rear pads so I kept thinking that it was just the fluid going down because of worn rear pads but I changed the rear brakes last weekend and still have this problem. Today when I went to drive the car for the first time of the day I heard this loud noise every time I stepped on the brake pedal. I checked the brake fluid level and it was a little below low so I filled it back up. I kind of feel like I've had to fully press down on the brake pedal lately to stop the car. There's plenty of brake power but I feel like I have to push all the way down and I don't remember it being like that.

My ABS light has been on for quite some time although I don't notice anything actually wrong with the system, it brakes very well and I have done a couple 60-0's. Any common fix other than replacing the entire sensor, it's the only light in my cluster at the moment.

View 4 RepliesSo recently my water pump failed so i did the pump, timing belt, and thermostat. While putting the alternator back in a may have broken a few fins on the alt. case. Anyways I was ripping it a bit today only a day after stuff done and the battery light came on. The car is warmed up and the idle drop a few hundred rpm and then back up. The headlights dim as well. and come back up with rpm. Even when I hod the pedal steady at 2k rpm itll still dip and come back up...thinking its an alt but is that really a symptom of a bad alt? I was also thinking I didn't tighten the alt bolt down alt the way or fuses or something so checking that but I am almost positive it's all tight down.

It's something I never noticed before but now it's bothering me. It'd be nice if they were red LED ambient-type lighting but instead its just bright white light....

View 7 RepliesSo tonight at 8:30 I started up my car to get ready to leave work. I turned my light switch to activate the headlights and I only saw the amber light on the wall in front of me. I was worried because I need headlights in order to get home. I tried activating the fogs and turning the switch on and off but only my parking lights were working. I turned the car on and off a few times and all of a sudden the headlights finally turned on. I drove around town afterwards to run errands and the headlights were turning on just fine. What would cause this issue and I really don't want it to get to the point where I can't drive my car at night.
