I was trying to close my sunroof just now and it starts to close but it stops just before the end and opens back up again!! What do i do about it?

View 16 RepliesMy 2008 has about 49k miles on her and my Moonroof started acting up the other day. The tilt function works perfectly. It even slides out to max open, however when I attempt to close it, it closes about 2/3 of the way then it acts as if it senses something in the way and opens all the way back up. I didn't take anything apart, but didn't notice anything in the rails. I also didn't hear any sort of grinding or stalling on the motor. If the motor is going bad?
View 2 RepliesToday my sunroof tilted open all by itself while I was driving, then it closed it by itself. Then it did it all over again.
A week ago it tilted open, I closed it by moving the switch to full open, then close.
In another post ("Sunroof Problem") I found one mention of this problem and the switch was the culprit.
I had to have the switch replaced?
Picked up my new Mk7 last night, but I have an issue with the sunroof. It slides back and closes just fine, but won't tilt! How to fix this? I have a VCDS if needed.

When I open my sunroof and then later on go to close it, it will come in half way and then stop and go back in to open.
View 5 RepliesProblem I'm having with my sunroof on my '10 GTI. The sunroof opens an inch and makes cracking/grinding noises. Then it needs a push on the actual glass while turning the nob in order to force it to close. And the tilt function ends up with one corner of the glass further down then the other. How to fix this problem or how to remove the headliner, or if it is worth bringing to the dealer? The dealer is the last thing i want to do because my warranty is up and those jerks charge an arm and a leg on labor alone.

View 8 RepliesI have the windows/sunroof close via rain sensor enabled through vagcom. I go to the MFD but every time I select it on, it'll reset and turn off when I turn the car off and on. Why? Can't get it to stay on.
Also, to not start a new thread. What the Manual Door Lock option in the MFD does? It gives you the option of all doors or individual. I looked in the manual but still don't understand what it does.
My sunroof will vent open and close by its self randomly while driving. Same problem occurs with my girlfriends 08 Passat. She said the dealership couldn't duplicate the issue, and when asked me about it I just laughed, shrugged my shoulders and said its probably just loose wiring.

View 8 RepliesMy sunroof opens and closes correctly. but when in the closed position it will be sunken into the cabin of the car a few MM not sealing to the body of the car tightly. how do I fine tune the sunroof to sit flush with the body when closed? some kind of adjustment screws?
View 4 RepliesThe truck is a 2002 F450 7.3 diesel with about 120k Miles.
While driving from 45-70Mph the truck engine stops for about 1 second and starts back up by itself. I thought the problem was the cps so I replaced it with a ford CPS. Today the problem still persists. The truck engine turns off and comes back on, the tach drops to 0 rpm and so does the speed.
The Check Engine Light comes on and so does the water in fuel light and so does the Check Gage light. After I turn off the truck and start it back up the truck does not show the lights.
I believe I found the issue, but can't look into it today. While I was moving some of the wires on the truck I found out that if I move the red/black bunch just a little bit the truck shuts off and comes back on when i let it go.
Sometimes the sun roof of my 2001 Passat will open about 1/5 when the car is on and even when it is parked overnight. Why does this happen? Luckily it wasn't raining the other night when it happened.

View 4 RepliesThe power liftgate on my 2015 SF Sport will open just fine but as soon as it opens all the way, it begins to close. It doesn't always do this but recently it's happening more than not.
By the way, I do not have the liftgate set to open automatically, just power liftgate is checked on the settings.
I've got a 2006 F150 King Ranch with rear power slider that opens but won't close. After looking more closely, the bracket holding the 'close' cable is cracked and the cable end keeps pulling out. Can I just remove the sliding window/bracket and repair the holder with JB Weld or am I looking at replacing the entire back window to enjoy the convenience?
View 3 RepliesThe backup camera under the vw logo staying open. Mine takes at least 10 seconds to close, and if I don't wait and turn off the car, it will remain open which prevent you from opening the hatch. It's become extremely annoying, especially Christmas shopping in the rain!!
View 11 RepliesDrove my 2004 Volvo S60 today and open the sunroof this morning. I made 4 stops and shut the car off but let the sunroof open because it was a nice day and did not lock it since I was as buddies house and we were outside. Drove back home about 12 miles and parked the car and before I hout the engine down I tried to close the sunroof and nothing. Checked fuse 34 (15 amp) and replaced it and still nothing.
