Golf IV R32 :: Noise On Passenger Side Rear

Apr 11, 2010

After a quick search i came up with it possibly being the endlinks, but my question is how do i tell if they are bad and if its the upper or lower link? after getting under the car neither were loose or anything and the bushings had slight cracks in the rubber it didnt look too bad though. anything else i should be looking for?

Golf/GTI VI :: Noise Coming From Rear Passenger Side Wheel When Reversing

I've been getting it when reversing and it seems to be coming from the rear passenger side wheel. To me it sounds like two metals tapping. I feel like it might be the spring, but I just want a second opinion.

Golf V R32 :: Rear Sway Installed And Now Knocking Noise Coming From Passenger Side

I installed my sway on saturday and it went smoothly. The bushings were greased up, bolts were torqued to spec, nothing was rubbing or touching in anyway. Now I am getting a knocked noise coming from the rear passenger side. after driving it for a day or so i check under the car to make sure nothing loosened up and everything was just how it was when i installed it. What the issue could be, but the noise is really annoying.

Golf/GTI VI :: CEL For EVAP Code P0456 - Clicking / Tapping Noise Coming From Rear Passenger Side

My CEL came on a few weeks ago on my 2010 gti, I scanned it and got a code for evap (P0456). I figured it was from filling the tank while the car was running, so I cleared it and went on with my week. About a week later it came back on and when I scanned it, I got the same thing. I haven't had time to smoke test the system but the last couple days i have heard a clicking/tapping noise coming from the rear passenger side of the car. Could the flapper in the filler neck be malfunctioning or gas cap be leaking.

Golf/GTI VI :: Rear Driver Side Sits About Half Inch Lower Than Passenger Side On Flat Ground

I have a mkvi gti with all stock suspension except rear sway bar. And I'm right about to order driver gear springs. But have a question about suspension. My rear driver side of the car sits about half inch lower then then rear passenger side on a flat ground. Would this be caused by springs? Or struts? Or what. Planning on ordering the driver gear springs but what the real problem is. I want the driver gear so I'm a bit lowered but not crazy low since the roads in my home town are awful and my street I have to do figure 8's all the way down it to not hit a pot hole.

Celica :: Clunk Noise On The Rear Passenger Side

I've been having a *clunk* noise on the rear, passenger side. Its been there when I had stock springs and still there with Eibach springs. The rear has being inspected by 2 mechanics; my friend who has a shop and the guys at Lextech in SoCal; Nothing was loose and everything seemed fine.

I hear a *clunk* noise when I brake (not all the time)
I hear a *clunk, clunk, clunk...* when the car is moving at maybe 5mph and goes away when I start going faster.
There's no noise over bumps.
Noise is there regardless if I am driving on a shitty road or not.

I regressed the caliper pins, thinking that was my problem. What to check or what the Celica is known to be notorious at.

Golf VI R :: Passenger Side DRL Is Not Functioning And Rear Fog Stuck On

To summarize. I no longer get any fault codes but the passenger side DRL is not functioning and my rear fog is stuck on. I do not have a euro switch with the fog option. I set byte 18 to 0x04.

The passenger LED running strip functions with the headlights on though. For DRL function it turns on right after releasing the parking brake but shuts off a second later.

Passat (B7) :: Wind Noise From The Rear Passenger Side Door

Notices such a noise from the rear passenger side door (same side as the fuel cap. Also experienced this same window 'malfunction'. Lowered it partially and then auto-rolled it up. Instead of auto-rolling up to a close, it rolled all the way up and then all the way down where is stopped.

Golf/GTI VI :: Rear Bumper Seems Loose On Passenger Side - Alignment?

I just picked up my new 2011 last night. Noticed today it looks like the corner of the rear bumper on the passenger side is not flush with the car and seems loose. Its not to noticeable but when compared with the driver side there is definitely a difference.

Golf V R32 :: Faint Sound Coming From Passenger Side Rear Of The Car

I think I'm becoming an automotive hypochondriac ever since I started owning this car...I was sitting at a light the other day and all of sudden I heard a faint sound coming from what seemed to be the passenger side rear of the car. It sounded like a ticking clock or a heart beat...it was some what faint, but still noticeable. It is intermittent though and has no particulars when it happens and seems to go away when I begin to drive off... Fuel pump? Gremlins?

Golf V R32 :: Coating Of Oil On Drain Plug And Oil Pan Around Rear Passenger Side

Had the plastic under belly off my car to install the HPA puck, and I noticed a coating of oil on the oil pan around the rear passenger side as well as at the drain plug. The car is getting a new pan and plug under warranty, just wanted to give everyone a heads up. My car is lowered, but i have never bottomed it out. As long as your are under warranty its worth taking a look at. You might as well get the passat subframe bolts to get rid of the subframe clunking at the same time.

Camry :: Knocking Noise On Passenger Rear Side - Coilover Leaking Oil

So recently I started hearing a knocking noise on my passenger rear side of the car... I suspected my coilover and sure enough I took the wheel off and there is oil all over the shock/spring.. How to rebuild k sport coilovers?

I assume I have to replace the entire shock? I've had them on for about 1.5 years so I'm not too thrilled about the life of the shocks. I'm not sure what the normal life expectancy of coilovers are since my last car had air ride which actually was fine for 6+years.. But I was hoping it'd be more..

Prius (2010-12) :: Creaking Noise Coming From The Passenger Side Rear

I seem to be getting a creaking noise (the same sound you get when you lean on the armrest) coming from the passenger side rear. It sounds like it is coming from the hatch, but I can't quite narrow it down. The creaking noise appears when I drive slowly over bumps.

Accent RB (2012+) :: Clunking Noise Coming From Rear Passenger Side

My wife has a 2012 Accent with 23k miles. Within the last few weeks she started having a clunking noise coming from the rear passenger side when going over bumps. I had some time to check the basics (loose lugs, broken exhaust bracket, spare tire, trunk lid, etc..) and have come up with nothing. I'm not very familiar with Hyundai's, but I wouldn't think there are very many components to the rear suspension other than struts that could be making a clunk like that. But with 23k miles, the struts shouldn't be bad.

Subaru - Impreza :: 2013 - Vibration Noise In Rear Passenger Side

It was checked by the dealer who said "everything was tightened the way it was supposed to be." They found no issue. It doesn't happen all the time, just over certain bumps. It seems to be getting worse in the cold. It's not seat belts hitting or, as far as I can tell, not the spare tire apparatus. The car runs fine otherwise. 2013 subaru impreza hatchback.....

Ford F-150 (2009-2014) :: Scratching Noise From Rear Passenger Side

Last night I took the turn a bit too sharply and the rear passenger wheel drove onto the curb, and I heard a scratching noise from the rear passenger side. Now I'm worried that I've broken something, because now the passenger side leaf spring feels a bit more bouncy than the one on the driver side. I have never paid any attention to my rear suspension until I drove over that curb, so maybe it was always bouncy. What I'm worrying about is the scratching sound when the wheel was on the curb, could that be the traction control kicking in?

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Rear Passenger Side Wheel Wasn't Spinning

Upon putting on my winter wheel i was checking if the bolts were too long and my rear passenger side wheel wasn't spinning. I took the wheel off and checked the rotor and it took a lot of force to spin because the caliper didn't go back. I took the brake fluid line out hoping it would decompress the caliper and it did not, and brake fluid leaked out a tiny bit. This leads me to believe that my caliper is bad. Just want to make sure before I order another one

Expedition :: 2005 - Rear Passenger Axle Noise Down To The Right Side Of Half Shaft

My wife has been complaining about a noise from her 2005 expo.

As she drove the truck today I have narrowed the noise down to the right side of the half shaft. From looking underneath and comparing what I was seeing and hearing, the track bar is not centered. Its more in on the driver side and out on the passenger side. I had her to stand on the running board and shake the truck.

I can definitely hear a kinda cluck? It sounds like the half shaft going to the tire but at the same time the bushing on the outer tire rod end. I can't determine what it is exactly.

when you rock the truck you can definitely hear it. Its not like violent loud but i'd like to get it taken care of. I looked for some grease points but I don't see none..

2nd question for the grease points that I do see how much do I grease it? how many strokes?
