I noticed this Squeak sound from the engine bay when i give it any gas, doesn't matter what gear your in but you can hear it the most in second gear.
Only mods to my car are as follows

Recently I've been noticing a squeak sound coming from my transmission when releasing the clutch and accelerating into the next gear, or when first taking off from a stop while releasing the clutch. At first my pedal itself was really creaky and that went away and now this. My R has an APR stage 2+ tune, flap delete, VWR intake, BB turbo back, APR hpfp and a south bend stage 2 daily clutch put in about 12k ago.

Car only has 22k miles on it so this is way too early for any noises to be coming up. I've spoken to a few friends and they think it might be the bushings or my suspension was installed incorrectly. What it may be?

View 6 RepliesSo last night I washed the R, pulled it out of the garage to squeegee the floor, and brought it back in. Then I heard this weird squeak chirp sound... tracked it to of all places, the engine compartment of my R! Thought I had a mouse in there.. didn't find anything.
So tonight I took the wife out for supper. Got home, parked the R, same sound, but only faster! Here's a video of the sound, sounds like it's coming from the engine bay for sure. Weird, right? I did some googling and didn't find anything else. Seems like it must slow down when it's colder. Because last night it was once every 30 seconds or so.
I took the car for a good cane tonight and when i got out of the car I heard an intermittent squeak coming from the engine. Apart from the normal - 'tic tic tic tic...' every now and then i heard a fairly faint but clearly audible squeak. Which sounded like it was coming from a fast moving part - like a pulley or something, and every few seconds would emit a squeak. I turned off the engine, waited 2 min, turned it back on and the sound was gone. Strange no?

View 3 RepliesSo recently after new tires installed and alignment done (1 month ago) I noticed a squeak/creaking sound while driving (0-40MPH) if i turn my wheel right a little it will squeak. It sound like its coming from the right side rear wheel. Prior to tire/alignment i had my brakes changed and resurfaced the rotors (2 months ago). My car is a 2013 chrysler 200. I noticed the noise a day after the alignment but not sure if it was happening after the brakes.
View 19 Repliesso I was heading off the freeway to take my exit at night. Didn't see there was a little curb island between the main freeway and exit. Went with the car over the curb and my right passenger tire went out.
I changed the tire and driven off, then noticed the car sound got much louder all of a sudden and when I turn the steering wheel right or left, I hear or feel a heavy sharp sensation- yet the car turns fine, it just sounds louder when I press the gas and when I turn the steering wheel I can feel my feet vibrating a bit and a soft/sharp squeak sound comes out.
What could this be?
I have had this issue with the braking system for about a year now. Most of the time when using the brakes, everything works fine, but once in awhile, it seems like the brakes on one (I think one) wheel seem to just let go, apply full braking power, or both one after the other. When this happens, you hear loud clunking sounds (which I guess it the caliper going from on to full off and back again) and the rear of the car will raise and lower with the instances. There are also times when a high pitched squeak sound comes from the wheel (like when a bus uses their brakes) which will normally happen a second before coming to a full stop. It does not happen at the same time, but I think is related. Going off the sounds and rear of the car moving I tend to think this is focusing around the driver's rear tire. The brake fluid has been changed, the brakes have been changed on all 4 wheels, and so have the all brake lines to the cylinders. There are no leaks anywhere in the system. The car does have ABS.
View 13 RepliesI've noticed lately when I turn the steering wheel slowly I get a slight creaking sound from somewhere behind the wheel. What is causing it and if it's worth tearing it apart to fix it. I only notice the noise when the radio is off and turning the wheel while sitting still.
View 9 RepliesI have a squeak in the rear from my V3 setup that I have been trying to diagnose for many months. I finally measured the spring and perch and have ordered these thrust bearings to try to eliminate the problem. For reference V3 rear springs are 60mm ID on the upper side which contacts the perch. I'll post if it solved the problem.

When I start the car I can hear (the engine I think?) squeak only while it's turning over, not after it has started. I also hear this squeak when I put it in park, reverse and drive. I don't hear it while the car is running, so I'm thinking maybe it's the motor mounts?
View 24 RepliesAlright so my brakes squeak a lotttt and its really annoying and embarrassing. They feel fine stopping power wise, i dont get vibrations and the car doesnt pull to either side, I looked at my pads and it looks like i have a 1/4in left on them which im pretty sure is good. I really want this to go away... do we have electronic sensors telling us we need new pads? Untill then ill be partially using my hand brake to reduce the embarrassment.
View 12 RepliesI'm almost always on manual mode and when I hold onto it, it tends to squeak with any subtle movement of my hand. Do I open it up and add grease(not sure on how to do this)? Take it back to the dealer to fix?

View 14 RepliesI have a 2013 2.5L Golf (Highline from Canada) that every morning when I go to work and every afternoon when I leave work, the brakes squeak for the first 2 to 3 stops.
It doesn't seem weather dependent, just cold dependent (now that it is cold in Canada).
Is this normal for a set of stock Golf pads? I am pretty sure its coming from the rears.
Out of all the cars I have owned (1973 BMW E3 Bavaria, 88 E28 535is, 01 E39 540i), none have ever made this much noise in the morning, no matter what the conditions were like.
If this is normal for stock pads, I will probably put a set of aftermarket ones.
got my new brake set up installed about 3 days ago. Adams double slot rotors, ebc redstuff pads. I put about 250 miles on the new set up after bedding in the setup. Im now getting a squeak from the fronts when i hit the brakes normally. Is this something that will work its way out or is there an issue?
