My passenger side seat belt clip rattles like crazy (the red thing where u insert the seat belt). The driver one is perfect and stiff, but the passenger one is all loose.
View 14 RepliesSo I was trying to track down this squeak noise and I removed the drivers side seat belt but now the belt will not retract? It's stuck like this, is there a manual release? Buying another one is not a option right now. And I have to drive the car tomorrow morning.
View 1 RepliesI have been using it a lot over the last 2 years since I bought my 2005 3.0 TDi. Love the car, have had a few issues but nothing major. I do now have an issue with the seat belt height adjustment in the passenger side. It will go down, but not up....slightly annoying as you can imagine. When I press the button to raise the belt, nothing happens. Seat are 18 ways ventilated massage seats.
View 3 RepliesOn my 2004 F-150 (new style) the passenger seat belt will not release. What steps do I need to take to find the retractible mechanism in the back portion of the seat? Does one have to cut the fabric? I removed the head rest and the top portion where the belt rides but can't locate the retractible part.

View 7 RepliesSo my passenger seat belt looks twisted. The little "tongue" on the inside is still pointing towards the pillar but the belt itself is twisted and hard turns it hits the plastic and makes noise. I tried twisting it and running the buckle through it. That didn't do the trick.

It feels like an exhaust vibration transferred through the floor connection of the seat belt. How can I get rid of it ? The vibration feels like a cell phone set on vibrating and is very annoying for the passenger.
View 2 RepliesI'm not sure if this is an epidemic or not but I thought I remembered seeing some others with this issue: when driving alone, usually in cooler temps, the passenger seatbelt buckle near the console rattles like a mofo. I have seen some reports of people getting it fixed at their dealership, some managed to get it done under warranty with some effort. I'm considering trying to fight the dealership to do it under warranty when I go in for my 30k service, but wondering if it's something I could tackle at home. Hasn't been too bad since the weather warmed up so not even sure I could duplicate the issue for the dealer tech.

View 8 RepliesMy power seat is stuck in the all-the-way-forward position. Seat has power to tilt and move up/down but will not move/slide back and forth. I am guessing there is a power cable that popped out when the seat was moved all the way forward.
2000 Jetta VR6
My 2 door tdi is about 3 months old now. its whisper quiet in the cabin with the exception of this one rattle coming from somewhere on the front passenger seat area.
I've removed everything from the cabin to make sure something wasn't rubbing against anything but the rattle is still there. the odd thing is is that I cant seem to exactly isolate where its coming from.
I've knocked on the door panel, glovebox area and everywhere else i can think of and I cant reproduce it unless the car is driving. Where it was coming from?
On my GLI, the passenger side doorpin rattles obnoxiously. I read an old thread that said to wrap the door pin with scotch tape, but I was hoping for something more permanent.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2016 F250 6.2 XLT CC 4X4 that is mostly stock, except I did put on 18x9 wheels and LT275/70/18 Cooper ST MAXX tires. I have noticed recently on hwy driving and even in town driving, that the passenger seat rattles/vibrates quite loudly. Obviously if there is someone setting in the seat, it is just fine.
Is this a common issue? Is there a quick fix (tightening a couple bolts or replacing a couple clips?) Or should I take this back to the dealer for warranty?
I own a 2000 Jetta GLS TDI 5 speed with 501,000 kms on it. The problem I have is the passenger seat back release handle broke off so there is no way to fold down the seat.

View 6 RepliesJust in case the dealer wants to be a jerk and skip fixing the rattles I have on my car, just curious about creaking noises coming from the front doors. I have one that is pretty bad on the passenger side door. It sounds like a small creek, it happens when i go through roads that are not perfect. The noise goes away if I push against the door panel, not so much when I yank it in. I currently have a broken driver seat too, so hard to pinpoint if I have the exact same problem on the driver side front door, but the creaking is the same.
View 14 RepliesOver the past 9 months with the Sonata, I haven't really noticed anything that I dislike about the car. The 1 thing I dislike the most, that I can't change, is the "pick-up style parking brake". However, the other thing that I CAN change is.
When driving with the front windows down, the passenger seat belt flaps around and hits the pillar from time to time. It's pretty loud; to the point where it can be startling if you don't know it can happen. I'm trying to figure out a way to remedy, but if someone already has, how so?
Can you turn off the passenger seat belt chime like you can on the Tundra? Dealer or owner job?

I've only had one passenger, once in the car, and yesterday, I noticed that the passenger seat belt light is continually flashing when I'm driving. If I'm in park, it's off, but when in gear, that little red light flashes non stop.
Is this normal when there isn't a passenger? I don't remember this happening before, and, I'm sure I would have noticed that annoying little beacon.
If it's wrong, how do I fix it? If it's supposed to be there ... how to I fix it?
Well, I had a friend put together my front brake rotor, now no more pulsating when coming to a stop, very smooth stop, new front brakes, had it aligned as well.. Also replaced the front shocks, however the passenger side came loose and rattles when going over bumps, speed bumps. I popped the hood, bounced my truck and could see it moving from left to right when bouncing front end of truck.
Question is, can i tighten it up myself, I dont have a jack, limited tools, I know, I know but i dont at the moment. My friend that worked on my truck lives a good drive and i hate to waste gas just for tightening something that should have been done but i have too, I will..
