I got the message to "check tire pressure" which I did. All tires were very close to 41 psi and I tweaked the pressures to the recommended indicated on the driver's side door jamb. I did this almost a week ago and the indicator still goes on. I check the tires again and the gauge reads 41 on all 4 tires. Can something still be wrong? Does something have to be reset?
View 4 RepliesI just purchased a 2012 Toyota Camry SE, 4-cyl, with the touch screen that indicates tire pressure. However, the indicators simply show a row of tires, not matching them to wheel locations. I looked it up in the manual and it was silent on this question. What is the "order" assigned to this single row of four tires? Seems odd that the manufacturer would go this far but not label or "map" the tires.
View 14 RepliesJust bought a R32 from a dealer. The low tire pressure indicator is on, but when I check the PSI it's good in all 4 tires. The dealer told me they let all the air out of the tires and fill them with N2 so it take awhile for the indicator to shut off. Is this true or is there something wrong with the car?
View 24 RepliesSo during my lunch break (I work 3rd shift, so "lunch" was at 4:00AM) I started my car only to notice that the tire pressure indicator light pop on. I got out and checked all of my tires and they all looked good.
However, it's the coldest it's been since I've gotten the car (~45 degrees). This light come on during cold weather? Makes sense that the air in the tires is contracting due to the cold weather, but it also seems like the air in the tires should expand as the car is driven, thus eliminating the pressure light, but it didn't.
I just got 4 new tires installed, running 235-40/18 setup (stock wheels.) On the drive home, the flat tire warning sign came on. I've tried to used the SET button in the glove compartment to deactivate it. That did not work (it flashed one time then stay on).
I check the pressure on all 4 tires and they're all at exactly 40PSI. What the problem could be and how to turn this pos off without going to the dealership?
Because of the cold weather my tires went a little low in pressure and my light came on. Now i set all the tires to correct psi and light is still on. is there a way to reset the light without going to the dealership? went through manual and says nothing about resetting light.

View 2 RepliesMy friend has an 08 4.6. He has replaced the thermostat with 3 different ones all with different temps, still nothing. Temp gauge reads normal but after driving it for a bit he can take off the radiator cap while it's running and not get sprayed in the face with coolant, almost like there is no pressure in the system.

The dashboard computer says that the tire pressure in the front right tire is 17 psi, but when I use the pressure gauge, the reading is almost 40 psi. Is this something I should be concerned about? View 16 RepliesI have read many of the comments re tire pressure loss but don't know if I have a unique problem or not. I own a 2011 GMC Terrain and my tire pressure is monitored through On Star. Every report I receive tells me my pressure is low in all tires - about the same amount, with little variance. Fortunately I own a air compressor and add air - virtually every 10 days or so.The dealer tells me all tires have small pores which cause leaks and I should go to a tire firm to have nitrogen put in the tires. (He didn't say it would seal the tires but indicated it would solve my problem?) Almost all of the comments on your site do not speak favorably of this. Any thoughts?

View 7 RepliesI own a 2012 Hyundai Sonata, my grandma owns a 2014 Sonata, and my other grandparents own a 2011 Sonata. On their cars, when their low tire pressure light comes on, the little display inside the RPM gauge shows them which tire is low. My low tire pressure light comes on and works, but for some reason it doesn't indicate which tire is low. It'll tell me which door is opened, but won't show which tire is low. How to fix this, or why it's happening?
View 1 RepliesLight came on a few days ago and I just inflated them to spec. 3 were around 30psi while one was down to 29. Indicator is still on when I start up the car. Did a search and one mentioned that driving approx 15mi it will turn off. Others say a button in the glove box will reset it. I looked and do not see one. Car is 09 passat. Hoping it shuts off on my drive to work ~20mi. If not how do is reset? I read owners manual and did not see anything about pushing a reset button or anything.
View 21 RepliesI had a low tire indicator show up on the dash today while driving home. It was flashing. I continued to drive, (only a mile from home) since there was no indication of anything going wrong with the tires. Then, the indicator stopped flashing, and went to steady. Then, by the time I hit the brakes to turn down my road, the indicator was gone. So, I checked all my tires, and with my very old accoutre gauge, they all showed 34.5 (35 being the spec). I hope to not see that again.

I have had this professionally checked and my tire pressure is accurate. Do I need to get this fixed or will it do any damage if I leave these indicators as they are?

Didn't want to fill anymore since I have the green caps. Light is still on. Is it safe to drive on highway at 75/80 mph? How does this light determine low pressure. Why is it still on? No other problem so hate to go to dealer for this but would like the light to go out.
