Because of the cold weather my tires went a little low in pressure and my light came on. Now i set all the tires to correct psi and light is still on. is there a way to reset the light without going to the dealership? went through manual and says nothing about resetting light.
View 24 RepliesI just got st coils and apr stg1 software put in my car and love it. the question i have is the other day my tpms light came on, so when the guys installed my software (today) the tried to set the pressures and clear the light and it wont go off i want to take it to the dealer but I don't want them to give me a hard time about the mods.

View 14 RepliesI just got 4 new tires installed, running 235-40/18 setup (stock wheels.) On the drive home, the flat tire warning sign came on. I've tried to used the SET button in the glove compartment to deactivate it. That did not work (it flashed one time then stay on).
I check the pressure on all 4 tires and they're all at exactly 40PSI. What the problem could be and how to turn this pos off without going to the dealership?
I HAVE A 2001 10 CYL EXCURSION with Pirelli Scorpion 265/75R 16 AT tires Istill can't get a good answer on correct tire Pressures-door plate says 38/45 tire wall says 80psi max. I've seen guys post 55/65 for non towing then maybe 60/70 for towing. Currently my steering kinda sloppy-inflations were messed up 55-52 front and 50-47 rear- also manual hubs somehow were in lock pos.Just had ball joints done but mechanic said didn't need alignment.
View 14 RepliesThe tire pressure warning light came on about a week after the tires were rotated (and I assume filled) at the dealer. My son in law checked all 4 tires and they were above 30. Didn't want to fill anymore since I have the green caps. Light is still on. Is it safe to drive on highway at 75/80 mph? How does this light determine low pressure. Why is it still on? No other problem so hate to go to dealer for this but would like the light to go out.
View 5 RepliesI got the message to "check tire pressure" which I did. All tires were very close to 41 psi and I tweaked the pressures to the recommended indicated on the driver's side door jamb. I did this almost a week ago and the indicator still goes on. I check the tires again and the gauge reads 41 on all 4 tires. Can something still be wrong? Does something have to be reset?

I have been driving on them at 36 psi cold and 40 warm but was a bit concerned since I have always run my 22s at 41 cold and about 44 - 45 psi warm so I took the car in for a quick air check. The techs at the shop said I should do 40 cold at 44 warm to support the weight of the car. ( T they actually calculated it based on the weight of the car and load rating s on the tire). After I filled up I just feel liek the car is harsher and noisier . Its odd because I never noticed that much of a differnece with my other tires.
Just wanted to see what ranges others are running on their LS460s with aftermarket 22" wheels.
Didn't like the ride when set to Subaru recommendation on tire pressure. Bumped both front and rear up by 3 lbs. Fronts at 35psi and Rears at 34psi. Any recommendations or set the pressure other than the what Subaru recommends?
View 2 RepliesI have read many of the comments re tire pressure loss but don't know if I have a unique problem or not. I own a 2011 GMC Terrain and my tire pressure is monitored through On Star. Every report I receive tells me my pressure is low in all tires - about the same amount, with little variance. Fortunately I own a air compressor and add air - virtually every 10 days or so.The dealer tells me all tires have small pores which cause leaks and I should go to a tire firm to have nitrogen put in the tires. (He didn't say it would seal the tires but indicated it would solve my problem?) Almost all of the comments on your site do not speak favorably of this. Any thoughts?
View 19 RepliesHow to set TPS to the correct position? I removed it while cleaning the throttle body, and now I can't seem to get it positioned correctly. The engine keeps revving its self while in park. I read AllData's instruction about starting with a 15 degree rotation to the right and then adjusting it using a Toyota hand held meter (which I don't have).

View 6 RepliesSo during my lunch break (I work 3rd shift, so "lunch" was at 4:00AM) I started my car only to notice that the tire pressure indicator light pop on. I got out and checked all of my tires and they all looked good.
However, it's the coldest it's been since I've gotten the car (~45 degrees). This light come on during cold weather? Makes sense that the air in the tires is contracting due to the cold weather, but it also seems like the air in the tires should expand as the car is driven, thus eliminating the pressure light, but it didn't.
I recently got a mk6 Gti and was wondering, if I put new wheels on it will the tire pressure light be on constantly? And is there something I can do to make the new wheels compatible with the pressure monitor system?

Suddenly the tire pressure light came on I checked the pressure of each tire and they are fine, but the light keeps flashing for 1 minute and then is on. I checked the manual and it reads malfunction in the system. I took it to the dealer in my country but they they told me they won"t bring this model here so I am out of luck. View 8 RepliesI have a 2010 Subaru Forester that looses pressure in the front left tire much more quickly than the other 3 tires. For example, I just filled up all 4 tires to 33PSI, and when I checked it a week or two later, the front left was at 26PSI, while the other 3 were still at 32-33PSI. In the past, the tire pressure light has come on because the front left tire managed to get as low as 16PSI, while the other 3 tires were still at ~26PSI. Is it possible to have a small leak that leaks a couple PSI per week?
