How do you change the number of times the lane change blinker blinks. Default is 3. Manual says it can be changed to 5 or 7. Service dept. couldn't do it.

View 3 RepliesI am wondering if the frequency of the signal to change lanes can be increased from three (3) blips to four (4) or five (5) blips. Mine does only 3 and sometimes I do not find that sufficient - maybe I like to be extra cautious.
I have a Ross-Tech VAG-COM so looking for any way of changing it using that tool. I just do not feel very inclined to go around changing parameters without knowing what the outcome may be. I find the Ross-Tech manual to be rather cryptic.

While driving down the highway yesterday at about 65mph I went to change lanes. As I was changing lanes I gave it a little gas. About half way through the lane change truck jerked like I had just been rear ended. I immediately checked my mirrors to see if I changed lanes in front of some body. No one was around. Truck still ran the same. Everything I'be read seems like similar thing happen to others at slower speed.
Currently I have a 1998 Buick Century Custom having turn signal issues.
The front left blinker is not blinking. Understandably, with this malfunction, the rear left blinker blinks rapidly when the turn signal switch is in the left turn signal position. However, when I put the hazard lights on, BOTH rear blinkers blink normally as does the front right blinker.
When the headlights are on, the amber-colored blinker bulb remains lit (left front). The right side front and rear blinkers work great.
I have checked the fuses, replaced the bulb and cleaned the socket of the front left blinker and still have no results. While my next guess would be that the flasher unit is the problem, I don't believe the rear, or front right blinkers would blink if that was the problem.
I have an IS 350 but I am trying to get the part number for the dead pedal for the 2014 + GS F sport. I tried calling my local lexus dealer (which is 50 miles away) and they won't give me the part number over the phone w/o a vin number. Now if someone can ask their parts deptn for a vin number, it can be provided.

View 2 RepliesHad start up, light flashes four or five times, then goes away. Our car is 3 months old with approximately 4500 miles on it. Is this just a maintenance reminder because it is coming up on 5k miles, or is something not right here? Just got 46 mpg hand calculated with the car loaded to the gills with stuff and a bike rack on the hitch so I would be surprised if anything was actually wrong.
View 8 RepliesI drive a 2004 Jeep Liberty which currently has about 67,000 miles on it and is in relatively good shape. For a while now I've been noticing that my CEL will come on randomly while I'm driving and flash 10 times before stopping for an indeterminate time. At the time it occurs I could be doing 70 on an interstate or 35 on a city road, doesn't seem to matter. I also don't notice anything else with the car at the time. No jurking, no sounds, no nothing - seems to be running fine. I've tried taking it in to shops after I've seen it but they are never able to pull anything off of the error codes. I've now been driving with this phenomenon for over 5 years so whatever it is seems to not have been as serious as I would have expected but I do think its starting to happen more often now than it used to.
When I try and manually pull codes I get the "donE" screen with a random number that flashes super quick before disappearing. Had to use my phones slomo mode to even try and capture it. it seems to just be a number "867588". Quick video showing what I mean .....
I have a problem with turn signal. When I switch it on it blinks one or two times, and then stops. It is for both directions. Where might be a problem? The switch or relay?

View 3 RepliesMy 2002 explorer, 4.0l engine. My 4x4 light on the dash blinks 10 times and I've found that sometimes the 4 wheel drive locks in. When i pull into a parking space on dry road I can feel the front of the truck Jerking when trying to park. I hit the 4x4 auto button on the dash a couple of times and the 4 x 4 will disengage. While driving on dry road yesterday the 4x4 light started blinking and I felt the 4x4 slam in. The 4x4 light still blinks and I can't disengage the 4 x 4 this time. The truck has 140,000 miles on it. I'm thinking its the 4x4 control module but I'm not sure.

1. Outside temp 92 Deg. I start the car and turn on the A/C. It is pumping hot air. I wait 5 min. It is still pumping hot air. I switch it off and start again. It pumps cold air.
2. Outside temp 94 Deg. I start the car and turn on the A/C. It is pumping hot air. I turn it off and on. No luck continued to pump hot air. Next morning out side temp 77 Deg. I start the A/C works fine.
I took it to the dealer. He says unless he can see the failure he cannot do any thing.
I own a 2012 Toyota Corolla S w/ 8700 miles on it I am the first owner. Check engine light blinks on and off 8 times. I cleaned the gas cap threads and neck, then I reset the computer by removing the positive terminal for 1 minute. I also checked the oil it's fine. Light still blinks? I have many years of mechanical back ground, without running codes I don't know this one

I already know how to change the intensity in the DRL , but i don't when turn on the blinker.
