Lexus IS 2014+ :: Info Screen Displaying Pop Up Hood Error
I ordered my IS 300h F-Sport (winter!). After five months of waiting, the car is now at the dealer. I went today to take a look and one thing is making me a little bit nervous...
The info screen said "Pop up hood error", I asked the salesman about it and said that the car needs preparation and be reset....
I want to believe it but my mind is taking my opinion that something triggered the pop up hood pedestrian protection... maybe a little hit? I don't know.... and maybe the salesman is being honest and it is normal.
The bumper is all ok, no signs of damage, (the car arrived yesterday and my girlfriend went to take a look).
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: VSC And VGRS Came Off And On
I was battling an icy driveway so I had the vsc off to do what I want. Tires spun here and there and I finally got in. Not the first time this was done this week. But what I noticed was check vgrs and vsc came on.
I went home to drop off my kid and returned 15 minutes later. Started the car and the lights were off. Went for a short drive to confirm everything was fine and it was .

Lexus IS 2014+ :: Some Smoke / Steam Coming Out From Under Hood
Got my joe z exhaust put in today. After getting it installed i was obviously getting on the car to see how it sounds.. I came to a stop and smelled that sulfur smell that people normally do when getting on their engines but also noticed some smoke/steam seeping out from under the back of my hood. No overheating though. Immediately got alarmed and shut off the car. Popped the hood and everything was fine. No smoke at all. Turned it back on and all was normal and drove the car again and there was nothing.
What could this be? something serious i hope not. i do not drive me car hard at all. its got almost 14k and changed the oil at 10k. this has never happened before. It was hot today though like 90+ ... Maybe it was just from driving it hard?
Lexus ES 2007-12 :: Low Gas Indicator Lights Up Too Early?
I have lived with this minor nuisance ever since i owned this car. 2007 ES350 now with over 150k miles on the odometer. I noticed that the low gas indicator would come on too early (along with the gas range indicator showing 0 too early). There is usually about 3 gallons of gas left in the tank when it first appears (on flat surfaced street).
So for this example, the low gas indicator came on after driving for 330 miles from a full tank of gas. By 350 miles the gas range showed 0. i did a total of 369 miles before pulling into the gas station so i know i should have a good amount of range left since i average around 23-24mpg.
After filling it up in the same gas station/pump around my house, i was only able to squeeze in 16 gallons which means there are about 2.5 gallons in the tank. So technically, i could go on for at least another 44 miles before running out of gas.
Not a big deal, is there a way to recalibrate so the low gas indicator = low gas in tank? I don't want to run it down less than 1 gallon but i really only want to know when i am really low in gas. At times, I find myself ignoring the indicators all together which puts me in a situation where i might run out of gas if i push it too long.

2015 IS 350 F sport RWD ... Experience a false seat belt indicator tone while driving? This happens very rarely like 1-2 a month. Only had the vehicle for 3 months. Only on the driver side. When the seat belt indicator goes off I wiggle the seat belt buckle and the indicator goes away.

Sometimes my Samsung S5 will connect and I am able to use Pandora, other times not. Bluetooth is always on. I get a message that says "Tether error" where the Pandora box is. Tried resetting the system by pressing and holding the volume button for 3 seconds, also turned off and back on bluetooth on my phone. Today I opened the app on my phone and still nothing.
This is on a 2014 IS 350 AWD F Sport.
Lexus IS 2014+ :: Low Tire Pressure Light On / Fuel Indicator Not Rise Up When Gas Filled
I bought a new IS 250 F-sport 2 weeks ago and the tire indicator drives me crazy. The low tire pressure light on twice in a week. I added up to 36pis (Recommended Pressure) and all tires went down after a few days. I went back to Lexus today for tire pressure. Every tire is okay but tire pressure is low only. Btw, my gas indicator did not rise up after I filled gas. The indicator started to rise up after I drove about 2 miles. Is that normal for a new car?

I started getting this weird sound after 10K miles service. I noticed it when i parked my car in the garage and the engine was off. I get this sound with or without turning the AC.
It sounds like a very fast tapping/clicking under the hood. (it is like a cooling sound but much faster) ..I don't think i got this kind of sound before. I don't know how to describe it.. Here is the youtube link: [URL] .....

After only 1k miles after purchase my Check Engine light as come on. P0440 and one other (left the paper at work)
I haven't overfilled on Gas, the Gas Cap is completely on (2 clicks), and I haven't OVERLY pushed the car either haha.
The only update was replacing the STOCK filter with K&N Drop In Filter.
Lexus LS 2007+ :: Security System Indicator Lights Flashing Continuously
I have done 2 searches but came up with nothing regarding a 2010 LS 460L. My security system indicator lights are flashing 24/7 regardless of the car being locked or not. Page 113 is not very clear about how to shut them off. I played with so many buttons yesterday after we got home with the car I may have triggered something without even knowing it. I do not recall that they were doing that yesterday when we picked the car up.

2014 LS460L "Check headlight system" error popped up. Since the RV mirror failed as well apparently the system is not getting the light sensor signal from the mirror and brings up the HL error. Where is the RV mirror fuse? I took off the fuse cover to the left under the steering column but can't find it. It's not practical to unplug and check all 26 fuses, owner manual is useless...

My 2014 GX has been great except for one annoying problem; with BSM mode enabled, the passenger side BSM indicator randomly lights solid when driving down the road with NO vehicles around me (driver side indicator works perfectly 100% of the time). Does not appear to be correlated to temperature, day/night, humidity, speed, or conditions mentioned in the manual. Other current RX and GX owners I know don't seem to have the issue.
Can the BSM system be calibrated or is the detection program burned into the individual sensors and control module such that the system cannot be re-calibrated? Does a GX BSM system publication exist? I have several photos illustrating the problem. Reported to dealer. The dealers conversation with Lexus was that it is not a perfect system with no explanation as to why one side would have the issue but the other wouldn't. Below is the online reference that Lexus provides. The BSM feature is a very nice one except for this intermittent issue.

Touareg :: Hood Indicator On After Installing Radio
i just installed a low level adapter for a subwoofer in my Egg (non-vav). As i was reinserting the radio the hood indicator came on about 1" before "clicking" into place. I heard this could be a microsensor telling the alarm the radio is missing. I also had the interior lights shut on and off as i was working on to fix the problem.
