I have a 2015 3IS which has about 5,000kms on it. Was wondering if any of you experience rattles/squeaks from driver's door glass when closed? Usually comes out on uneven roads or after going through a road where the chassis/body gets twisted a bit. I live in the mountains so the roads here are really twisty and has all those weird angles.
View 14 RepliesI just got a 3rd gen IS 1 month ago, but the last 3 weeks there is a rattle noise coming from the rear door on the driver side. I went to lexus twice now but they were unable to fix it and they told me to wait till the car breaks in.
View 14 RepliesI got my all new Lexus but driver door has been rattle since 400 mile. It's like plastic vibrating and creaking.... I think it's the door panel is making the noise especially on rough road. When it rattles, I can place my hands on and share the vibration, then the noise would be somehow suppressed.
The problem is that I took it to dealer and they, as usual, cannot reproduce the problem! I took down the door panel myself, tightened all screws...and the noise...got worse....
My driver and my driver side passenger (slightly) door squeaks when I open and close it. I know it has to do with the door checks. The black plastic thing that holds the door open 1/4 or 1/2 way. I don't want to try something that might not fix it like greasing it. I don't want a glob of grease on there and it still squeaks. Is there a way to adjust it?

In comparison, my 2012 Corolla LE was built in Japan and was just as quiet as a mouse inside.
This is the only rattle. So small and so persistent. It comes and goes, sometimes lasting an hour, but when it is gone it is definitely gone.
I can tap on the panels, open and shut the door, run the window up and down and yet it continues to rattle. Then, all on its own, it disappears. Sometimes for days without making a peep or a squeak.
It is not the Seat belt, nor is it anything attached to the seat belt. (If anything should be rattling it should be at the seat belt pillar adjustment).
My 2 week old IS 350 Ultra white/Red F sport is in the shop for the rattle that feels to me to be under the car under the driver's seat. The dealer cannot figure out the problem after a day, so is keeping my new car. At least they were able to hear the rattle.

Not sure how to take the top half (where the wood trim is) off without breaking any remaining clips.
I am trying to diagnose a buzz/squeak/rattle coming from the driver door. Once I press on the door, the noise goes away, so I would like to take the interior trim and leather off the of the door to do some more troubleshooting. How to remove the interior portion of these doors?

View 10 RepliesHaving squeaks coming from their window seal between the glass and the seal? I mean, it can get really bad... I have to roll my windows down a touch and then it's a smooth, quiet ride. I was going to try and drag a small amount of some kind of lube around the seal soon.
View 1 RepliesI am stuck with a shattered rear drivers door glass because of a thief. They got my backpack with an Ipad and misc things. Now I am trying to replace the glass myself but the dealer want big amount for the part because it comes with the track. (ridiculous!!!) Aside from replacing my ipad, backpack, and other irreplaceable items, this glass replacement is fubar with little info on it. Is it possible to just replace the glass like any other car???
View 8 RepliesDid some searching but didn't find anything on how to replace the driver's side front window glass. Someone decided they liked my GPS unit more than I did while I was at work. Smashed out my driver's side window and took it. Now to replace that window. I did manage to find a replacement window.
Pulled off the door panel and now I'm trying to install the glass. Anything I try though, I can't seem to get the glass back into the tracks. Does anything inside the door need to be removed before I can install the glass back into the tracks? Such as the window motor/regulator assembly? On the left side of the drivers door towards the bottom, there is also another small alignment track. Does this need to be removed as well?
Car was broken in last night. Went to a near by auto glass shop to get the glass replaced. After the glass replacement, the window will lower half way after it reached the top using the auto up function (pull up and release). It stays up if you hold the switch up. Why that is? Seems to me the jam protection is activated, according to the manual.
View 2 RepliesHaving issue with a moon roof rattle in the up position, sounds as if the glass is loose. If I slightly close the rattle stops. Not sure if I want lexus taking apart the moon roof/ head liner to repair. I may just live with it, but would like to get it looked at. 2011 LS 460 sport.

View 13 RepliesI've amassed almost 3700miles in my 14 gs350f thus far and really enjoy the car. One problem I've had for the past 1000miles or so is the drivers door control cluster for the window switches etc., not the black part but the actual panel the buttons are hooked into buzzes and wiggles and up down maby 2mm. I swear, it buzzes like a beehive that's on FIRE when the radio is on. I've been resting my hand on it for a while but enough is enough, how do I get that panel out so I can stick some really thin foam in there to stop it?

Is it trying to tell me to remember the key? This was the case in my 2010 IS250 too... so its not something that is new.. its just now that I started wondering.

Something the dealer can adjust / tighten up to eliminate this annoying noise?
