I notice that my Electronic Parking brake doesnt seem to work anymore and I no longer have the little green light that illuminates where the parking brake switch is. Also, I now have a message on the dash that say check parking brake system have vehicle checked by dealer.

View 3 RepliesThe switch for the parking brake pedal light self loosened (a known issue with this switch) over the past six months and today it finally fell off the pedal assembly. The only way I can see to do the repair is to remove the three fasteners that attach the parking brake pedal assembly to the dash and drop the pedal to the floor to refasten the switch. It appears to be possible; however, there are lots of stuff around the assembly that might get in the way of dropping the assembly so I raised the white flag and called it a day.

After long search found the button which switched ECO mode off in multi information display BUT the green ECO word still kept displaying on Hybrid system Indicator. So now I am confused, do I still have ECO mode on or not? And how can i get that green ECO message of my hybrid meter?
View 3 RepliesSo today, I started my Lexus Ls600hl and the lights were flickering and the car wont start. Then on the Dash it has the yellow ! icon and the lcd says Parking brake not available.... The car wont start. I tried disconnecting the battery etc. nothing. Then i jumped the battery and got it to turn on, but it says parking brake not available - see dealer for information. But the car runs fine and everything now - But i don't understand the warning, the parking brake wont engage anymore. I will take it to the dealer tomorrow to see what's wrong.

View 2 RepliesI recently came across a problem that is not a big deal but enough to irritate me. When I engage the parking brake it will shut the radio off. I cant see to see how the two systems are related to one another. I don't have the brake light lit on my dash indicating anything is wrong with my brakes. I have tried to reset the navigation system a few number of times but the problem is still there.

View 14 RepliesI have an 04 RX330. As I can tell by searching this forum, the brake light switch going out is a common problem. Lexus did a recall in 04 for this, so they know it's an issue. My vehicle was purchased new by a family member and it had the switch replaced under the recall in 05 by the selling dealer.
I got the car in 13 and soon the switch had to be replaced again at around 50k miles. This week the dashboard lit up again with all of the "idiot lights" and I knew what it was. Took it to the same dealer as the 2nd repair and they fixed it at no charge parts or labor. This is fine of course, but the part #s on the receipts from repair 2 and 3 match so my expectations aren't very high. I have 69k miles.
My parking brake warning light won't turn off. I checked the brake (pressed and released a few times). Checked the brake fluid (it is right under max). 9800 miles on it.
View 6 RepliesI am trying to determine if my Auto climate is woking correctly. I have 2012 RX350 with NAV.
I believe when I first got the car that when the Auto button was pressed, the AC light (in the climage screen) came on, and was always on. It could only be turned off by powering the fan speed to zero.
However, I now have this situation:
- Auto A/C Mode On (in custum settings)
Climate control is in manual mode with AC light on.....when I press Auto the A/C light turns off (cannot be turned on by repeated presses of auto)
- Auto A/C Mode Off (in custom settings)
Climate control is in manual mode .....when I press Auto the A/C light stays in current condition either on or off.
Summary: pressing Auto no longer turns on the A/C switch (and I believe it used to)
I am wondering this is a new Coolant reservoir the dealer put in and the coolant looks green or did the Lexus dealer screw up and put green instead of the red Toyota coolant ? or is that the Windshield washer fluid res?
View 4 RepliesI purchased a used set of JDM HID/LED fogs awhile ago and had them installed by a buddy of mine who owns a shop. The HID portion was plug and play, but I cannot figure out how to get the LED portion to light up outside of tapping into the parking lights. It came with a DRL switch with a number of harnesses attached and a ground wire. I dropped the panel under the steering wheel and cannot see anywhere to plug it in. I reached out to the few people who have installed these, and contacted a number of sellers, but have not had much luck.
Do the LED portion has a harness to plug into on a US Spec car?

View 19 RepliesI just purchased my first VW about a month ago. (Golf tsi white auto). I love the way the car drives/handles. But I was surprised because at just under a 1000 miles the engine light went on. Took it to VW service to check it out. They had to keep it for a few days to do tests with the main VW center. I got the car back without much explanation other than they put in an O2 sensor.
No engine light now for a couple weeks. They also noticed that my wheels are missing 4 lug nut covers (not a big deal). For some reason I am just starting to notice the green brake light on when I first turn on the ignition prior to setting in reverse which disappears upon reverse or drive. I assume this is normal... Question: should I be concerned about this engine light O2 sensor issue?

View 8 RepliesThe outside temperature has been cold since the purchase of my 07 SC almost 2 weeks ago (below freezing F ). The A/C green light has not been lit. My 05 SC, the light was on all the time. Dealer says the system will turn the A/C off in certain circumstances in very cold conditions.
