Has any ls600 owner noticed a small vibration/shudder when they decelerate (without braking) on the highway ? It may be only a hybrid issue even during normal operation as the electric engine are recharging the battery.

I just called the servicing dealer and the SA told me that he felt the same thing when he moved a 600 for a customer making sharp turns, explaining that this is normal from the electric motors. Is this true???
View 1 RepliesI'm getting a vibration through the floorboards when I take my foot off the gas at high speeds. It has a low-pitched (like a subwoofer) hum to it. It's amplified when I go over dips and the suspension compresses, but doesn't exist when the car is in neutral.
(2009 LS, AWD, 120k miles, stock tires/wheels)
2008 LS600hl with 30K miles, when de-accelerate/brake I hear like jet engine slowing down sound, I think coming from the CVT/Electric motor area.
View 14 RepliesI have an LS600hl (2008) that has behaved spectacularly well, except until recently when it started to deplete the key fob battery fast! I resorted to replacing the batteries once a week (yes it was that bad). that was up until today when the car refused to start completely. Everything in it is dead, including the horns.

View 14 RepliesWe own a 2008 LS600Hl and love it. I just got the car back from a minor bumper fix from the body shop last week, and my daughter showed me that the armrest controls in the back are dark. Think it could be a fuse, relay or the genius at the body shop had to disconnect something and did not connect something back. If it is simple, I'd rather take care of it, than go back to him again.
View 6 RepliesI'm beginning to notice a high pitched whine when I first start up my 2008 LS600hL and turn the wheel slightly (like backing out of my garage). It almost sounds like the beginning of a power steering pump problem, but I think our power steering systems on the LS are electric.
Experiencing a slight whine/growling sound when the car is still cold and the wheel is turned? Maybe the sound has been there all along and I'm just now noticing it.
I did a search on this topic and came up empty. My car is still covered under a CPO warranty, so I'm not too concerned, but was wanting to get opinions from the forum on possible causes (or if this sound is a normal part of the electric power steering we have).
08 LS600hL. The cigarette/power outlet in center console shorts out instantly. I have changed the fuse a couple times. Tested several different plugs. The ashtray and rear console power outlets both work perfectly. Nothing else seems to have any issues, radio, windows, climate, etc.

View 9 RepliesI just put a rebuilt 4r70w in my '97 expedition and it shifts good but in 4th gear when I let off of the accelerator it starts to shudder until it shifts to 3rd. It acts like it is freewheeling then catches on and off. My thoughts so far is that I don't have the digital transmission range sensor positioned right or the overdrive servo isn't working properly.

View 9 RepliesMy 2011 LS 460 with 3800 miles on it has a shudder or modulation at about 38 to 40 mph. Transmission? Any fixes out there or known problems? Great car but this problem is becoming annoying.

Issues:
1. Just put her in for the SECOND brake actuator replacement at 45k miles. First failed at 22k miles, so they DO have that consistency thing nailed.
2. Also had to replace BOTH B-pillar trim pieces which have soft facing material that cannot withstand the constant barrage of seat belt buckles banging into them during retraction. They start by showing marks, then dents, and finally the material gives up altogether and begins to shred.
3. Brake shudder due to "rotor warpage." I believe this problem is due to production engineering (or lack thereof) during final assembly. Hub runout at maximum combines with rotor runout at maximum, even though both are within tolerance, to produce a stackup tolerance outside the spec which results in warpage given enough thermal cycles. The reason the problem occurs only rarely is due to hub and rotor tolerance variations AND the various stackup combinations arbitrarily selected during final assembly of rotors to hubs.
4. The recirculation-biased AC causes mold (and odor) buildup in the AC system. Since this "choice" was made by Toyota to gain U.S. CAFE credits, the fault lies more with EPA and DOT than with TMC. Still, the unsuspecting Lexus customer is the one who suffers.
I'll buy an extended factory warranty on the car, run it for another year (20k), then sell it before the chickens come home to roost.
2008 LS600hl with 31K miles, been having low speed brakes shudder for quite sometime even after changing pads and machining rotors. This weekend thought about putting grease on the pins holding the pads, this did the trick, shudder is gone!
View 9 RepliesI 've been experiencing a vibration, or rumble in my 2006 Camry. It would happen around 40-45mph or when decelerating. Once it got into top gear it would go away. Two weeks ago I turned off the overdrive and the problem stopped. Now, I keep it off in the city and turn it back when on the highway.
View 7 RepliesSo I just developed a slight vibration in the steering wheel and the floor last week. It happens when I drive with my foot barely on the gas or coasting. If I punch it, the vibration goes away. Also, if I punch it from a stop and take my foot off the pedal I can hear a knock as the car lurches starting to decelerate and its only one knock. I thought it might be the driver side strut bushing because I recently replaced the passenger side but not the driver. So today I replaced the driver but that did not solve the problem. I have fairly new tires all around. I am not sure if it is tie rods or cv joints. All my boots on the cvs look good. What to check. Oh maybe also motor/trans mounts???
View 5 RepliesI have an 08 F250 supercab 5.4L that I bought this past July. The truck has 153000 miles on it now it had 150000 when I bought it. I don't drive it every day just usually on weekends and when I need the truck. The truck was really well maintained and had all the work done at a local ford garage. I live in western pa and lately it has been pretty cold and snowy so I have been using the 4x4 more than I normally would the past few days. My wife was driving the truck the day before yesterday and had it in 4x4.
The past 2 nights it has been really cold right around 0 degrees. I drove the truck yesterday and it just didn't seem right when I first drove it almost like there was a tire going flat or a flat spot with one of the tires. I got out and checked and everything seemed ok but it was still doing that. I saw that the passenger side hub was still locked while the drivers side was on auto and I was in 2 wheel drive. When I got home I sprayed the hubs down with PB Blaster and tapped on them with a rubber mallet. I put the truck back in 4x4 and drove it down my road to the end then put it back in 2 wheel drive and reversed down the road. When I got back into my driveway and checked the hubs were both in auto so all was good. T
he only thing now is when I am driving everything is normal but when I start to brake or decelerate I get a humming noise like you would get with off road tires on the highway. I wouldn't say that it is that loud but definitely noticeable and there is a vibration in the floor in the front along with the humming. When I am going really slow decelerating you can also hear a noise similar to if you would spin one of those wheels with the metal pegs at a carnival or something to win a prize.
I am considering the purchase of a 2008 LS. After conducting research I've noticed that there is a common issue around an odd vibration problem at certain rpm and around control arm bushing's with these cars. I've also noticed that there is a common issue around air suspension issues. I based my conclusion around threads that seem to pop up constantly.
View 10 RepliesOn our trip to Daytona this weekend I noticed a vibration/shudder between 45-55mph. Above and below that range it doesn't happen. Dont feel it in steering wheel or pedal. Does it in both 3rd and OD. Got under truck and driveshaft doesn't move at all. Just got those new tires put on a couple weeks ago. Don't remember this vibration before that.
Just checked tire pressure - front right 48 psi. All the rest have about 45 psi, would that do it? I have a shudder in brakes from stops above 45 mph I'm assuming warped rotors, could that do it?
