My backup camera stopped turning on when I put the car in reverse. Why? I'm thinking it might be a fuse issue, but I can seem to figure out which fuse from the information in the manual.

View 6 RepliesWhere is the camera for the back-up screen located? Occasionally we have gotten splashed and when I put the car in reverse, it is very difficult to see because the splashes are obscuring the view. If I knew the location of the camera, I could try to clean it.
By the way, had my first opportunity to drive our 450h In the snow. The snow was coming down hard, it was night time, back roads in New England, taking our daughter back to boarding school. The roads were very dark, not yet plowed. I was so focused on seeing the road ahead that I didn't even notice how steady the car had been (no skidding or 'fish-tailing') until we got back to our hotel.
I got in my car this morning to drop my sister off to school and when I put the RX in reverse nothing happened for a second or two and then all of a sudden it jerked back. I continued to reverse off the driveway thinking what the heck just happened. When I put the car in drive the reverse camera stayed on as I drove off.
When I noticed this, I pulled over to the side and put the RX back in park and turned it off. I then turned it back on and the area on the dash that shows what gear your in, never turned on. My sister was getting late so I dropped her off and came home.
I turned the car off and waited 30 seconds before turning it back on. This time the reverse camera didn't engage in reverse and the small screen that displays what gear your in, displayed no image. Then a few seconds after that, the check engine light came on and so did the symbol of a car and squiggly lines under it. My RX350 is a 2010, and has just under 85k.
So when I got my car a couple months ago there was this problem where the backup camera wouldn't come on every now and then when I shifted into reverse so I decided to get it fixed under warranty. the dealership said the problem had to do with the whole infotainment system or something so they gave me a whole new center console and navigation screen for some reason but after I got my car back a couple days ago it was working fine up until today where the back up camera won't even come on at all anymore. I've driven the car about 5 different times today and the backup camera never came on once.
View 3 RepliesAt the airport made a wrong entrance and notice it so fast, therefore, did a quick reverse and shifted back to drive, but the car died on me. It took me a little while to see what is happening and start the engine again, but the cars behind me were not real cooperative.
View 1 RepliesI went to the dealer yesterday to disable the steering wheel extending/returning and the side mirrors turning down when in reverse.
The dealer was not able to disable the mirror turning down in reverse. Mine is 2014. I read it somewhere that this is dealer service only.
So I bought my car less than a month ago and it has less than 900 miles. The LED in my left front headlight shorted out all the lights on the left side of the car and fried the cabin fuse box apparently. I took it to Hyundai Monday and they had it until today (Friday).
They replaced the cabin fuse box and the whole headlight assembly. They hand me the key FOB and say here you go all set. I get into the car and go to reverse out of the spot and the camera doesn't even try to come on. Its not switching to a blank screen.. just stays on the radio.
The tech at Hyundai didn't have a clue how to fix it and I'm not leaving my car there over the weekend.
Having issue with their rear view camera not even turning on? I see a lot about blue screens, snowy pictures, ect. but that's not what I'm experiencing. I've hit the reset button on the head unit but that isn't working. Is there a way to do a hard reset on everything?
Where the this ecu is located. I believe it's behind the glove box, but I want to be sure before I take it out again, wasn't sure which connector it belonged to. 2006 GS300.

View 14 RepliesJust purchased 2010 lll w/ Nav and backup cam. Although the cam works fine it doesn't show a grid. I drove a 2008 w/ cam and that did show a grid. The salesman stated some camera's did show it and others don't.
View 5 RepliesJust bought this 11 gs350 and car is great except that the reverse camera does not activate when the car is put in reverse. The side mirrors tilt down and the rear shade will lower when put in reverse but the screen just stays on the navigation screen no flicker or black screen.. What could be the problem?

During driving, some buttons are not working. Sometimes work and sometimes doesn't work!
All of the backup camera systems I have seen (which are in Chevys) have superimposed guidelines on the camera view to align the vehicle into the proper spot between the parking lot markings. I road tested a 2014 RX350 with Nav system (with backup camera) the other day and it did not have these guidelines. It just showed a nice rear view picture but offered no assistance in aiming or aligning the vehicle when backing into the parking spot.
Is it just possible the guidelines were turned off in the Nav menu somehow? On the other brand cars, the guidelines actually curve as the steering wheel is turned -so you can use those line to perfectly back into a space. It would be a big oversight IMO if Lexus didn't build this guidance feature into their backup system.
I never noticed that the back up camera screen is purely black and white? or is there a setting somewhere to have the screen displayed in full color?

View 3 RepliesI've replaced my headlights. the problem is putting it back on. I twist to a lock, but the headlights get loose in a couple of days and it needs to be tighten. I don't want to twist too hard in case anything breaks. Is there a way to adjust the headlight to ensure it being lock? I know I'm suppose to hear like a loud click when it's lock.
