My driver side sun visor has gotten incredibly creaky for some reason even though I don't use it very often. I don't know what's inside so I'm unsure on the lubricant to use.

View 7 RepliesI just picked up a 2011 Golf TDI a week ago and so far, I love it! I have about 600 miles on it now and I have noticed that the driver's side lumbar support is very stiff to turn compared to the passenger side. It is also making a creaking noise when it is adjusted and I can feel the seat compress slightly when I put pressure on it (say, when I shift gears or move positions) and it also makes noise when doing so.
Just wondering if this is a common problem, if there is an easy fix, or should the dealer take care of it. My thoughts right now are to take it right back to the dealer and let them deal with it.
My 2009 tig got a rattle on the driver side sun visor its minor but since its in my face id like to take care of it. When it gets above zero I plan to take a look to see if something can be done.

View 2 RepliesSunroof drains? I just had a new windshield installed a few weeks ago. But I have not had a problem until today. Everything was fine until I tilted the sunroof and when hitting the brakes coming to stops. Water would run in thru/by the visor hinge.
View 4 RepliesI noticed that my sun visor when placed on the side where the window is wobbles like crazy on the road. I asked the dealer about it and they said I would have to purchase a new one even though the car is under factory extended warranty.. they said they don't warranty parts used by the customer.. I then told them I never moved the passenger side and when I moved it over to the window it was wobbly too, so it came that way from the factory. They said they will look into it but prob wont get a call back. Its bad when going down the freeway and you hit some small dips in the road.
View 8 RepliesThis used RX has been a nightmare so far. In the shop again, this time because the driver side AC is not cold but the passenger side is. Shop told me they are doing a system evac and recharge but I don't think that is it. My son's Yukon has a dual air setup and the blend doors are issues on those.
I think something similar is happening with the RX but I am not familiar enough with them to know.
Well I took the GX into a rough part of town in and literally left the car parked for 30 minutes, and I come back to find the drivers side mirror missing. Good news is, the thieves unplugged it, dare I say professionally and I have no ripped or spliced wires, everything is in tact. I found a mint condition mirror on ebay and bought it for a fraction of the cost the stealership would charge, however as simple as it looks, it is a bit difficult to snap the mirror onto the white plastic piece. I do not want to apply too much pressure and crack the mirror from the front. Any hacks on an easier way to put it in?

Had a fog light go out driver side. At the time not knowing better and the auto parts store saying th H16 bulb crosses to a H11. I replaced both with H11 they ran for a little bit ( don't know ,I tested they worked, so I went for a drive come back 30 min later not working).
Replaced those with new H16 bulbs but now they do not work. Tested bulbs individually, and they are fine. Fog light indicator comes on on panel, but they do not work.
What the reset button under the dash on the driver side directly above the accelerator pedal is for? I was installing leds in the interior on my 2015 rx350 and on the driver side under dash panel next to the driver footwell light is a button that says reset .
View 2 RepliesJust installed them a few weeks ago, at first I wasn't too low, now that I am about 24.4 to the fender, the right passenger side creaks. At low speed over bumps, dink, dink dink..... and when i turn the wheel almost all the way to the side go up or over a curb it goes dink and then when i straighten it , it dinks again> Got the installing new suspension kit from dbc, and new ball joints on both sides. Only one side squeaks!

I'm half-way mechanical... OK , maybe 1/4. It appears that the blades themselves are not replaceable; only the refill (squeegee) portion is. is this correct?
Front-drivers-side actually looks like the complete blade may come off, but it's not obvious how it releases.
The rear appears to have no way to easily remove the complete blade.
I have a problem with my driver side rear door's child safety lock. The safety lock is STUCK/BROKEN on the lock position and i cant get it back to normal... The door could only be opened from the outside right now at all times.
I took the door panel off too see if i could do anything to make it unstuck but very unfortunate...
The safety lock is a whole module itself. I bought it to my mechanic he checked it out and said it cannot be fixed and has to be replaced and he quote/estimated me just the part alone is roughly $300?
How much the part would cost in Sewell? I tried looking it up but cant locate it
RX450h Climate Control ... This is annoying and all my riders complain about the A/C Auto mode on this car. Here is the issue in Auto Mode with the inside temp set at 72 degrees, and the outside temp is cold anywhere from 55 to 65 degrees the A/C always blows cold air into the car. I can never get heat to flow into the car. The manual says that auto controls the a/c flow, fan speed, and vents like auto in almost every car. What is wrong here? The A/C is always on blowing cold air regardless of the temperature set inside the car. To me it seems that the temperature setting for both passenger and driver do not work.
View 12 RepliesFor about 2 weeks now when I turn my 2001.5 Passat off, the little light above the driver visor comes on. It only turns off when I put the visor back up. It never did this before and doesn't do it on the passenger side. Can I just disconnect that light? what was also strange was that if I didn't put the visor back up (turning the light off) a clicking sound would come from the instrument cluster and the cluster lights would flicker. But when I put the visor back up the clicking and flickering stopped.
View 6 RepliesDue to the rain this weekend I decided to clean out my interior and do some maintenance. Lately my driver-side door has been making a squeaking sound. As such, I decided to lube up all the doors just in case. Upon inspecting all the doors/hinges I found that both the driver-side rear door and passenger-side rear door hinge bolts are rusted real bad. These are the bolts that connect the hinge to the door rather than the hinge to the door frame.
I inspected the door for any sign of water intrusion, but could not see anything out of ordinary. Also, nothing else was rusted or appeared to be water damaged. I inspected all the other hinge bolts around the car for comparison and they were fine. It is strange that both rear passenger doors have this issue. I bought the vehicle used and the Carfax comes back clean with no accidents or damage reported.
The only other time I have seen this is when the door has been worked on, and a socket was used which stripped the protective paint off the bolt. Even then only the rough edges of the bolt rusted, and not the entire thing. While I could foresee one door being worked on, I do find it strange that both would have needed work. However, this assumption does not rule out the possibility.
My only other issue of concern which may play into this is the surprising amount of sand I find on the exterior. As good as one can clean a car there are always some places that will never get fully clean. With that said, while the exterior is clean I have found sand residue in little crevices (weep holes) and corners throughout. I am sure that sand and moisture would play a part in causing rust to accumulate, except that no other parts show any sign of rust. This is certainly bizarre to me. I plan on replacing the bolts, but would like to remedy the problem before hand if possible.
2013 RX 350. Noticed the driver's side mirror vibrate or shake a lot more while driving on some bumpy roads and freeways?
Compared to the passenger side which is pretty stable and to a 2012 RX 350 which is stable too.
Car is a 2015 is250 f sport. Stock suspension and brakes. Live in Florida so weather doesn't really get and stay cold. I was backing into my driveway tonight and my wheel was turned all the way to the left and I was engaging the brake and disengaging it to slowly work from the street and into my driveway and the most horrid creaking metal sound was happening from the front drivers side tire and suspension. Since I bought the car the brakes have been loud when they are cold which I sort of understand but when the steering rack was engaged all the way to the left with the brakes engaged and i was backing up very very slow. it just didn't sound normal, at least not for a Lexus.
Sound isnt as evident from outside the car as it is sitting in the drivers seat. This is my first Lexus so not sure if their brakes and suspension get loud when cold? Its either a temperature and design issue or something else that is wrong. This sound should be normal from an older car, but suprised its coming from mine with only 1,500 miles.
