I seem to be getting (the last few weeks) a random audio announcement from my 2014 RS450h - "Severe Weather nearby" when there is no weather nearby (just sun/clouds).
I checked the XM weather feature as well.. although that feature (graphics) seem pretty useless.
Got a warning that AWD is not working. Tried to remove the cover from the driver's side fuse cover to check fuse and no luck. I have removed the thumb screw that secures it but cannot get cover off. 2011 RX350.
View 1 RepliesDriving in heavy rain on the interstate, my park assist warning started signaling. I assumed it was the heavy rain affecting the sensors. However, later on local roads, I kept getting intermittent warnings, with only light rain coming down. It seemed to happen most during deceleration, when water would slide down the hood toward the front bumper. I'm guessing it has something to do with the sensors on the front bumper, possibly getting water in them.
View 6 RepliesA mechanic at the Lexus dealer showed me how to reset (remove) the oil change warning message on the gps screen. It has something to do with pushing the A/B odometer buttons when the engine is not running. Unfortunately I did not write it down nor do I remember it.
View 10 RepliesWith the temps at a all time low in the U.S. this week, my TPMS warning light has come on in my 2012 RX350. It will stay very cold for most of the week, so is it ok to drive with my warning light on.
I don't want to check my psi in the tires with a tire gauge because I was told a valve stem can freeze open in extreme cold letting the tire to go completely flat.
How do I turn off that Severe Weather alert when I start the vehicle? I remember reading the trick somewhere ... But cannot locate it now.

I looked at the maintenance reminders on the screen and deleted anything about oil changes. But the message will not go away - stays on all the time. What is causing this and how do I get rid of it?

View 7 RepliesI have a 2003 GX470 with 174,000 miles. It continues to be a great vehicle.
Recently my air conditioning system only blows warm air in both the front and rear. When I start the vehicle, the Navigation screen flashes the message "Check Air Conditioner", then the A/C button on the Climate screen flashes.
I have searched the forums and read every post regarding this issue, and it seems that one possible fix is the "magnetic clutch relay", but the link to Sewel Lexus lists this part as belonging to the ES330, and NOT the GX470. There is NO such part listed for the GX470 on that website.
One other post suggested that the author pull the AC error codes, but I don't know how to do that on the GX470.
My Prius yesterday while driving slowly (under 10 mph) all the dash warning lights came on(triangle, cel, trac control, brake). the gas engine started and the message came on that says: "check hybrid system". Today when I went out to check there only two warning lights on (triangle and cel) with the same message displayed. My question is can the vehicle operate without damaging anything if I drive it as is? I have read on several threads that the engine will not start if the hybrid motor(s) are not working. Since my engine starts and runs I have to believe the motor(s) are working.
View 19 RepliesSo I had a bent wheel and had to replace it and the new one did not have the TPMS sensor so now I get a permanent low tire warning message.
Is there anyway to disable this warning? Alternatively how costly is it to get a new TPMS sensor?
After doing a Total Brake job on My 08 LS 460 plus Rotors. I got a warning message that my Parking Brake was inaccessible and to see the Dealer . I went back and changed all the Parking Brake Hardware to solve the Problem and I am still getting the same Warming Message.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2006 RX400h. On 3 occasions I've been stranded. The car won't start and I get an error/message Shift to P when Starting. However I am in Park. It's coupled with a Check VSC System warning. Service department says I have just drained the accessory battery, however nothing is being used other than standard equip such as lights, dash etc. I've had all batteries changed in the car over the 4 years I've owned it. Is this usual?

View 2 RepliesMy wife has a 2010 RX-350 which had to have the transmission replaced a few weeks ago. She has run into an issue when it's cold that the car seems to be stuck in neutral as she applies the gas and it just creeps. This most recent time, the "Check Engine" light came on the message "Check AWD" on the dash. Lexus says they can't find anything wrong except slightly low Transmission Fluid.

View 14 RepliesWife was driving her Lexus 2010 when she got the following warnings and took a picture (see below). It was freezing outside so that may have had something to do with this.
Drove car in morning to appointment (5 miles) no problem. Let sit for 2 hours (freezing weather). Drove back and encountered the warning below: Check AWD System, check engine light and traction control light. Roads were fine with no snow/ice. I checked code on car and it called out Cylinder 5 misfire. She encountered loss of power going up hill.
I cleared code and checked/replace front bank of plugs (Cylinders 2, 4, 6) with Denso #3426 (FK20HR11) - too difficult to replace others. Spark plugs looked decent minus some oil/gas on threads of plugs similar to what I saw on another posting that went through process of changing plugs. Car drove fine after (next 20 miles).

View 1 RepliesI purchased a 2013 RX450h in May. Now that it's getting cold I've noticed that when I start the car I get a moderately loud "whirring" sound from the dash for the first few minutes after I start the vehicle. It sounds similar to a cassette tape being rewound or something. It seems to originate from inside the dash, behind the CD player and other controls. This only happens when it's quite cold out (below freezing or thereabout).

So in dry weather I would not get any beeps until the distance between a car in front of me lets say a few feet. In rainy/snowy weather, I am getting beeps when the distance is like 10 ft.
Wondering if that increased sensitivity is normal and by design, or take her to the dealer while still under wtty.
