Passat (B5) :: CEL On / Gas Cap Code Keeps Coming Up

Dealer says the "gas cap" code keeps coming up. Won't share the number with me.... I've tried two new OEM gas caps, fuel & air filter replacement. I keep paying to get it reset. It keeps coming back on. Clueless VW mechanics... What else it might be?

Passat (B7) :: Code P205b Keeps Coming Back On

Code p205b? 2012 TDI with 52k miles. Cleared code the other day and it came back on this morning (I have had luck clearing 2-3 codes in the past without them coming back, most likely due to condensation or similar on various sensors). Looks like it has to do with the AdBlue system with some other searches but I am looking for specifics like PNs to replace and whether the emissions warranty might cover this. I only purchased extended powertrain and it looks like it would only be covered under the highest tier extended warranty.

Passat (B5) :: CEL And Code P1596 - Noise Coming While On Boost

Ok, I just bought this car a month ago, and I get this code coming up intermittently. I reset the code, and it will come back after driving a while. 2002 passat 1.8t 5 speed. It seems like it comes back when I roll backwards a little bit (like from a standing start on an incline) right before taking off. Could this be a leaky throttle body to inter cooler hose? Seems like the engine might move more while taking off from a backwards rolling start due to the torque. Also, I hear a lot of noise while on boost coming from the drivers front corner of the car, although it doesn't throw a code while on boost.

Passat (B6) :: 2006 - CEL Coming On And Off After Fueling / Code P2293

Well my car is listed above it has 99 k on it now.. For the last few months the check engine light had been coming on and off.. It usually happened after I put gas so I figured it was the gas cap... Till yesterday I had it scanned at auto zone and gave me the code listed above... Don't know how to go about it.. I've searched some and found that it could be a cam sensor of some sort or a follower ( spelling) ... Is it a easy fix .. Like I said light goes off and on.. Doesn't stay on always.

Passat (B6) :: EPC Light Coming On Intermittently / No Fault Code And Cruise Control Loss

EPC light coming on intermittently on the morning causing loss of traction control and cruise control, occurred 4 times in 6 months. No fault code logged in, no CEL in dashboard. The dealer checked for logged codes, none. Also had one time the low coolant level display in dash all during one ride to work (30 km) the coolant tank was full and even if I was cycling the ignition switch it was still displaying it. Back from work it was disappeared and never came back on. all EPC light coming on at morning, and ok when coming back from work 9 hours later. Any clue on this?

Subaru - Impreza :: CEL Keeps Coming On For Gas Cap Code?

The check engine light on our Subaru keeps coming on. The first time, the computer showed that it was an issue with the gas cap. They reset the light and we were fine. The second time, apparently, they could not check if it was the gas cap b/c the tank was full. So, we had them just change out the cap. Well, now it has happened a third time.

Godge - Grandcaravan :: 2006 - P0406 Code Coming On And Off (EGR)

I have a P0406 code coming on and off on my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan (EGR). I had the EGR replaced last year and then the cat shortly thereafter (at only about 48,000 miles). Right now, the car tends to make a rattling sound at low speeds, especially after a lot of stop-n-go driving, and it sometimes produces a strong exhaust smell. . The car has always burned/consumed a lot of oil (which Chrysler said was normal when I reported it while under warranty). Is there any chance this is not the EGR but something else producing a faulty error message? I was told by a Dodge service tech that the bad cat might have falsely triggered the EGR code when I first had it replaced.

Camry :: 2002 - Code P0304 Coming Up After Swapping Coils

Unfortunately I've neglected changing the spark plugs in a while. I've done so now with NGK iridiums. But still throwing the code. Thought it may be the ignition coil next. Swapped the current coils around to see if the code would change and no such luck. Erase the code and it still comes up as P0304.

Touareg :: P0420 Bank 1 Efficiency Below Threshold Code Keeps Coming Up?

Recently I pulled code P0420, AKA Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold.

To start from the beginning...several weeks ago my EPC light came on so, like most educated consumers I decided to buy a vag-com. I pulled the codes and got both the Bank 1 and Bank 2 efficiency below threshold codes (p0420, p0430). I reset the light and literally within 3 minutes the EPC light came back on only this time just Bank 1.

So I drove around again for a week and the check engine light came on this time, back to Bank 1 and Bank 2. Whether trying to replace the spark plugs will possibly fix the misfires, its Cat Converter replacement or possibly just replacement of 02 sensors. I have been reading mixed responses.

FYI I use synthetic oil and chance the oil every 7500-9000 miles, have 89,000 miles and have never changed my spark plugs.

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: P0401 Code Keeps Coming On

After installing the Sinister Diesel EGR Cooler, a new stock turbo, new EGR valve, and new #7 and #8 injectors, I am still getting the P0401 code. Each of those items needed to be replaced, by the way.

The motor runs fine; it just continues to throw the code. It has been to the dealer, and they can't figure it out. Is there a diagnostic procedure I can follow to hunt this elusive problem down?

Durango :: 2004 / 5.7 - Code P0300 Coming Up On Computer / Multi Misfire

I have a p0300 code coming up on the comp. The motor runs fine until it gets wet. rain/carwash. I have tried to spray each coil with water and could not get it to misfire. Then I brought out the water hose and sprayed it top of the motor this found the misfire. This thing has 8 coils and I really don't want to replace them all. My Question is there some thing else that could be causing the misfires.

Tiguan :: Rattle Coming From Engine Upon Acceleration Or Around 2k To 3k - Pending Code P0341

Last year my wife and I purchased a 2011 certified pre-owned tiguan from a local VW dealership which will stay anonymous atm. This past weekend we were driving home and noticed a rattle coming from the engine upon acceleration or around 2k-3k. The EPC light and check engine light both flash one time whenever this happens but never stay on. I scanned the car and found a pending p0341.

I know about the timing tensioner so I waited until the car cooled completely and went outside about 1am and started the car, sure enough it made the star-up rattle.

We took it back to the dealer and they diagnosed it with a failed timing chain and camshaft and are going to replace the components. I'm guessing by failed timing chain they mean the tensioner.

Dodge - Intrepid :: 2004 - Code Keeps Coming Up P300 Random Misfire

The "check engine" light on my 2004 Dodge Intrepid has been on (not blinking though) for months and, after putting new spark plugs, wires, ignition coils, 02 sensors, cam sensors and other things, the code that keeps coming up is P300 random misfire. After a few of the above items were put in (particularly the 02 sensors), the light would go off for a day or two but then always come back on. Because of this "random misfire", the car basically has no power when I push the accelerator down (at least until it warms up for a while and even then too sometimes).

Ford - F150 :: 2003 - Code P0301 / Misfire On Cylinder 1 Keeps On Coming

I am at about my wits end with this P0301 (Misfire On Cylinder #1) code on my 2003 Ford F150 4.6L. I've replaced the coil pack on that cylinder, all the spark plugs, and replaced the fuel injector on that cylinder. We keep clearing the code and it keeps on coming back.

The weird thing is that it only misfires after the truck has set for a few hours and then it only misfires when I first put it in gear. Once I am out of the driveway and on the road it's fine for most of the day unless I let it sit for several hours and then it might misfire again.

We noticed that the connector to the fuel injector is wobbly and doesn't snap tight to the fuel injector (before and after it was replaced) due to the clips on the side not working well. We zip tied it together this afternoon to make it fit tightly to the fuel injector to see if that works.

What could be causing this? Other than that misfire the engine sounds great and the trucks runs very well.
