Get a creaking noise from inside the driver's door if I lower the window creaking stops. Have taken the the door trim off. Do I need to remove door glass first and then remove the metal plate covering the inside of the door.
View 7 RepliesMy 04 audi a4 driver door will not open from the inside or outside. The bowden cable is a little loose but it has some tension, but even if that was broken i should still be able to open from the outside. the key fob will arm the alarm also.
And I can hear the door manually locking if i use the key also.i can arm the alarm only if i use the key to lock the door manually. but it will not open. i have to either crawl through the window or from the other side. Other than ripping the door panel apart and opening the door that way? Also the dash display shows the door is shut so that is a plus...
2008 Turbo... Is there a way to program all the doors to unlock when the drivers door is opened from the inside?

View 24 RepliesThere is a creaking sound coming from my driver's side door only when turning right. It sounds like it's specifically coming from the strike plate or latch area. I've pinpointed it to the door because it doesn't happen when I slightly open it but leave it hinged.
View 15 RepliesFront end noise in 2006 Sonatas? I would refer to this as a creaking noise heard inside the vehicle while going slower...such as in parking lots and neighborhood driving. Sounds to be from the strut area to me. Going to try to take into dealership next week. Seems like right after i got the rear suspension noise fixed (Replaced struts) then i hear the front end making noise.
View 36 RepliesSo... someone smashed in the right front of my Honda Ridgeline about a year ago. Lot's of body work and parts of the steering infrastructure replaced. In for service and they say that the right-front inside CV joint leaking grease. Insurance, no problem we'll replace the axle. Had it done at the dealer, about 2 weeks ago. Since the, I have noticed a "creaking" noise from under the truck. Sounds like a metal on metal joint that should be lubricated but isn't. Only noticeable at very low speeds, stopping or accelerating. Maybe there other times, but hard to tell. Sometimes almost seems like a "clunk". FYI, I don't think this is it, but they also did a front brake job at the same time. 75,000 miles.
View 6 RepliesI have a 1992 Celica GT and I having problems with the doors. The driver side door won't open from the inside or out. The locking mechanism works and the lock moves but when you pull the door handle it won't open. I have noticed a similar problem that is happens on occasion with the passenger door. On it you can open it from the inside but not the outside. I'm afraid that my fiance that drives the vehicle as a school car will get stuck inside.

Drivers door wont open using inside door handle. It will open using the outside handle. Door locks are functioning using key, inside door knob, and door lock buttons. Problem started this am. I tried squirting WD40 into the latch, without taking anything apart...and am thinking of removing the inside door panel and getting a better look.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2005 kia spectra that the driver side door from inside will not open. I can open from outside and use remote to unlock door. I have successfully removed the cable that was broke. I am perplexed as to what part I need to order. The cable is green in color. It is the cable that goes from the door latch to the handle on the inside, I think it is this part # not sure. Their also is a right . Their are 2 cables one is for the lock it self and the other is the door handle. I am not sure if I need the control cable.

But I don't see anything moving, just hear a motor working? What is moving or supposed to be moving? I have a 2012 2.5L SEL no memory seats.

View 7 RepliesJust recently I am having an odd rattle almost echo vibration when I close my driver's side door. I have tried it with the window down a bit and don't notice or get the noise. It almost feels like something is loose or being vibrated around and above the door.
I haven't had much time to look into it closely - It is pretty annoying!!!
When I open my door or the driver's side passenger door, there is a thwump or suction- like noise that sounds as if it is coming from the trunk.
I had a repair done a few weeks back and had a loaner 2014 TDI SE, and it had the exact same sound.
I have a 1995 Toyota Camry V6 XLE and ...My driver's side door locked up and won't open from the outside or from the inside! Here are the problems:
1. I can put the key in the keyhole on the outside and it will turn clockwise but won't turn to the left at all- when I turn it clockwise it makes the normal sounds.
2. I can from the inside push the power door locks to lock and unlock and it moves the lock both ways on the drivers side, still won't open!
3. When I pull on the latch from the inside and from the outside I can hear the inner mechanisms moving, sounding like it wants to unlatch it from the locked position.
4. Now I am getting paranoid about the passenger side door because when I go to put the key in on the passenger side door lock, I can turn it to the Left to unlock the doors but the key won't turn to the right at all! It is a pain right now as it is to crawl over to the driver's side via the passenger door, but if that door locks up for some reason, I am really up the creek! I don't even lock that side right now b/c I'm afraid it might mess up like the driver's side door!
My sister has a 2003 gmc sierra and the 12 way body plug in the fuse panel inside drivers door on dash isn't getting power. Where that section of fuse box gets power from? The rest works its just the 12 plug???

I've been searching around google and here, all I can really find is that it's a huge PITA, and you're supposed to use a hook to pull out a C-Clip.
I really can't see this C-Clip. Or even make contact with it, if it is there. I've been pulling the crank back and peaking inside ever so slightly and I'm just not seeing anything. With a hook in there, I spun the crank hoping I'd feel a 'bump' or 'nudge' of the clip against my hook (bent metal wire), but honestly I've got nothing.
I drive a 2013 Elantra Limited. I cannot open the Driver side rear door from inside. I am hoping its a quick thing to enable this?
