Is there a way to make the parking lights (on the boot) to work with turn signals and brakes? I want the turn signal action to look like this : [URL] .....

Turn signal lights into parking/turn signals (6th gen 2011 Camry LE)? I replaced my parking lights with a bright led that matches my headlights, but I would like my turn signals to be on when my parking lights are on.
For some reason I thought they turned on with the parking lights (my other cars do), so I bought some switchback led's and after I installed them I realized that my turn signals don't come on with the parking lights. Is this something I can do by swapping out a relay or with some minor wiring changes?
I am planning on getting the relay below to stop the hyper-flashing and am curious if it would do anything else, common sense makes be believe it will not since the lights don't currently don't turn on, but I am not 100% sure. Also, is 1 relay better than another? They all seem to be the same with the exception of some have controls to adjust the flash speed.

I'm having problems with my front marker lights. The turn signals work but when I turn on the parking lights or headlights they don't work. They only work with the turn signals. And I can't get the front side marker lights to come on. I've tried everything...
View 2 RepliesI have a 2007 Passat 2.0T Wolfsburg Edition. I have yet to figure out how to turn on the just the parking lights. Is this even possible? This is my first VW and my first foreign car .. so I'm not used to all the "quirks" yet. SO far I really LOVE my car though.
View 1 RepliesI find it is that the lights do not turn off after parking when they are in the auto position unless you take the key out. Is there any way around this? It's kind of odd to have to take out the key when parked inside the garage.
View 19 RepliesI found out last night that all 3 of my brake lights are out. However, my tail lights work, and my turn-signals work. So obviously its not a big wiring deal. I was looking for the brake switch but i don't know where its at because i looked underneath. What fuse is the brake lights cause my manual doesn't have it listed. I drive a 04 Elantra GLS.
View 6 RepliesI have a 99 gmc jimmy. Head lights and tails lights work. But not the Hazard and or turn signals. I checked fuses. I'm thinking it might be the plug under the ash tray. But I don't want to pull off the dash to find out it isn't that.
View 4 RepliesHooked up to my trailer and I have running lights but no turn signals, brake lights, or trailer brakes. I pulled plugged in my other vehicle to the trailer and everything works fine. My truck is a 2011 with the factory trailer brake control and pigtail connection. It worked fine last year.
I checked the connector with a test light and there is only power to the running lights. I then disconnected the plug at the back of the trailer connector and tested there and got the same results. Are there particular fuses or relays I should look at?
Just noticed this tonight. While making a left turn, I had the blinker on and had the brakes applied and noticed the indicator on the instrument cluster was blinking. Once off the brakes, it took it a few seconds for it to resume blinking.
When I got home, I checked to see if the right signal did the same and it did. I also checked the rear lights and when the signal is on and the brakes are applied the light does not blink nor does it brighten up like they're supposed to when the brakes are applied, it stays dim as if both the blinker and brakes are off.
I did a quick search. I have not checked any of the bulbs or wiring, but I'm thinking it might be the turn signal switch/ lever. What the problem might be?
I installed LED tail lights a few months ago, now all of a sudden the passenger side does not light for brakes or turn signals. The lights came with resistors that I put in when installing and the adhesive wore out and they were dangling in the truck frame. The wires connecting the resistors to the light were damaged. I taped the exposed wires and secured them a with a heavier tape, but taping did not work. I also tried switching the resistor packs with the driver side to see if it was them that have an open winding, but they are still operable.
I narrowed it down to wiring between the trailer hook up and passenger light assembly in the electrical circuit. I plugged an LED light bar into the trailer connection and the same problem occurred (running lights come on, but no turn signal or brake light). Where could there be a short? Or is this circuit fused somewhere that the running lights come on but a separate fused circuit triggers the higher voltage for LEDs.
1998 Passat 1.8t B5 sedan. OEM fog lights up front. No rear fog lights.
I recently upgraded to a "Euro" light switch to get more flexibility with my lights. Put tape on the TFL pin to disable DRLs in OFF Mode. Put tape on the 56d pin to disable DRLs in CITY LIGHTS (Parking Lights) mode. Completely successful -- no DRLs, just as taping the TFL pin on the original light switch accomplished long ago.
BEFORE I did any taping this time, I installed the Euro switch AS IS and tested all of its modes and physical positions:
(1) OFF: No fog light position available (switch knob will not pull out). As expected and okay.
(2) FULL ON Fog lights come on (but who the hell can see them?!?) when switch knob is pulled out one stop into the fog light position -- and the little front fog symbol on the switch lights up. Again, expected and just fine.
(3) CITY LIGHTS (Parking Lights): The fog lights position is physically available by pulling the switch knob out one stop... BUT THE PARKING LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON (regardless of ignition switch position, emergency hand brake position, etc., etc.) And the little fog light symbol on the switch does not light up. (Not surprisingly, pulling the knob further out to the REAR fog light position does nothing either.)
THIS IS NOT GOOD - since with a Euroswitch one ought to be able to manually select and de-select the fog lights while in CITY LIGHTS (Parking Lights) mode!

Recently my Infiniti G20's turn signals and hazard lights stopped working. I replaced the flasher relay and turn signal switch but it did not solve the problem. Here is the kicker or clue. The lights flash when locking or unlocking the car with the remote FOB.

View 3 RepliesJust picked up a 1999 F-150 XL, 4.2L V6, 5-Speed. Spent half the day rewiring the headlights back to factory as a previous owner did a bunch of wiring that made absolutely no sense. (Foglights or KC lights?). Anyway, works great with the exception that the headlights turn on when I turn the selector to just parking lights. I removed all but the factory wires under the hood. I haven't been behind the dash yet to check the headlight switch and I was hoping to avoid doing so. A fuse or relay that may be causing the issue? I don't have a service manual yet so I haven't been able to identify all the fuses under the hood.

After the repair I noticed that I'm not getting any power to the rear turn/brake, and backup lamps.The tail lamps and third break light work as does the trailer plug. I know that they were working prior to repairing the front. I did disconnect an aftermarket alarm during the repair. Basically all I replace was L/F sheet metal. Of cause I checked the obvious things like fuses and current to the tail light sockets.

View 6 RepliesSo I lent my santa fe to a buddy to do some hauling, I got it back yesterday and the turn signals and the brake lights don't work...notta. Regular running lights are working without issue, but no turn signals, no hazards, no brakes. Even the "tick, tick, tick" of the turn signal is gone, it's just dead.
View 1 RepliesI was using a 2004 Heritage F150 and when I connected a trailer to it something got fried. I lost both my turn signals and brake lights. The trailer worked fine on my friends truck so I don't think the issue was there but with the 4-pin round connector that was on the truck.
I found two 10A fuses blown under the hood and replaced them but that didn't work. They were in slots 19 and 20 and are listed as the camper/trailer adapter fuses. The running lights still work. The interior turn signal arrows don't even light up or anything when the turn signal is activated.
This has been driving nuts for 2 days.... Brake lights dont work. Either pushing pedal or turning on lights. Turn signals work just fine.
Cab/cargo/3rd brake light on back of cab doesn't work either. I have checked/done the following:
- Checked Brake pedal switch for continuity. Tested fine.
- put multi meter on wiring all the way back to brake lights. No drop in voltage.
- changed bulbs. #3157 dual filament.
- positioned steering wheel all the way up and all the way down as suggested on here. No change.
- checked multi function switch (turn signal switch) for wiring issues. None found.
- kicked rear quarter panel for caveman adjustment out of frustration. No change.
What am I missing?
