Near the speedometer and gauge cluster, I've flipped through the menus using the steering wheel controls and one option I see is speed.
I was under the impression I could see my actual speed digitally displayed. But it seems to show in small print my average speed. Is there a way to make it digitally show my speed?
I have notice that all the FM stations will show-up in the cluster display but AM will not . When I use the Knurled wheel on AM it will not scroll the select stations. Also can you program AM and FM effects in memory?
View 6 Replies2005 6.0L F250 Lariat. I picked up a couple weeks ago. The message center in the gauge cluster will only show my mileage (kilometres) and engine hours but nothing else.
Also the three buttons/controls to the right of the steering column don't do anything. I checked the wiring behind the dash and it's all plugged in... The other problem is the SRS light will flash on and off while driving.
When I turn the cruise control on, a green "cruise" lights up in the center display. When I "set" the cruise so it actually holds my speed; no additional lights come on to indicate the cruise is set. I was wondering if this is normal or should there be one light to indicate the cruise system is on and another when the cruise is set. My Phaeton has the standard cruise and does not adjust for distance.
View 1 RepliesAs I was driving to work this morning, I noted that the map does not display on my center unit... no error messages, just a gray screen. Interestingly, the navigation functions seem to work just fine, just no map display.
I just had the KESSY unit replaced in my car last week. I don't know if that is related to my new problem, but thought I would mention it on the chance that it is relevant. Notably, however, it seemed to work fine when I got it back form the dealer. What the problem may be?
I have slightly over 1000 on my new Prius and have been resetting the Trip Counter A at the last couple fill-ups. But the display doesn't show the MPG. How can this be fixed?
View 4 RepliesI have recently noticed that the ODO meter of the car does not work i.e. it is stuck at the reading (57735 km) it was on when I got the car and does not record/show the increase in mileage. the trip A and B are working perfectly fine. I took the car to the local Toyota dealer but he has no clue what is wrong with it, the guy there suggested that ECU is working fine but the ODO meter is damaged and needs replacement.
I am not sure what the guy at the dealership suggested is correct because what i think is that if ODO gets damaged then the whole speedo meter should mal function.
The outside teperature doe not show on my display.

View 14 RepliesFor the past 2 days, when I press the button to start my Prius after it's been in the garage all night (mid 40s-50s temp), I'll get only the seat belt light displayed - or the seat belt light then the others will slowly fade in! And sometimes the entire "Hybrid System" indicator display doesn't show up at all. And it won't start or, if it does, won't shut off.
If it does start, and I drive then park and turn it off, when I go to start it after just a few minutes, say at the grocery store, everything comes on fine.
I recently purchased an '09 Prius. When driving, the MFD shows the trip info/MPG stats. If I want it to show audio or climate, I can press the button the dash and that info will be displayed. However, shortly thereafter (10-15 seconds maybe? maybe less?), the screen reverts to showing trip info/MPG stats.
I'd like to have my display remain on whatever I select - be in audio, climate, or trip info. How to make this happen?
How do I change the Oil Life display to show a percentage? The owner's manual isn't very clear on this. Presently it shows "OK" until it wants an oil change. The bride's '13 Explorer shows the Oil Life as a %.

View 1 RepliesI am 150 mi from my service dealer and my 2005 W12 won't start . The dash lights go on , a/c vents open etc, but the keyless start or the key itself does nothing .
I recall that there may be a way to use the Accessory Battery to start the car, but I don't recall the routine. I don't want to have any local roadside service messing around. BTW it is the original battery and shows about 14amps.
I purchased a Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) Five (Five not V, uppercase roman numerals were used for only mode year 2010 Prius liftback models) about 6 months ago. When I first got it the "range" display on my dash would claim somewhere around 425 miles on a full tank. Now when I fill it up it says 375. I'm not sure if it adapts to my driving or not.

View 4 RepliesThe "car" symbol on the nav screen seems to lag the actual position by up to 1/2 block.... when I make turns onto another street, for example, the map will sometimes indicate that I am turning into the block itself (instead of the street that I am on), and about 1/4 mile later, it will mysteriously "shift" the car location back onto the correct street.
