How to replace one of the xenon bulbs.
I know the type of lamp to be used: D1S 12V35W.
I looking for a exploded view/instructions how to extract the front lamp units in order to replace the bulbs.
Having trouble finding h7 xenon bulbs anymore. Most say discontinued and the ebay crap burns out right away.
View 1 RepliesI just bought new DS1 8k bulbs to replace my aging 6k bulbs. It was a sinch to install and seemed too good to be true. Well i turn my car on and the check bulbs light came on and low and behold the lights do not turn on. The dealership said it would not matter whether I had 6k before and bought 8k but it seems like this might be the issue.

The problem I have is the access cover to the bulb cant be removed so I need to know if the bumper and lamps need to be removed?
How do you remove the Touareg Headlights to replace the light bulbs. I have fount the open close turn, but that doesn't release them all the way.

View 5 RepliesAlso looked through our manuals and saw jack. Looked at the inside of the rear hatch and saw no easy way of replacing the rear tail light bulbs. I'm guessing that i would have to take out the plastic and/or carpet to get to it?

View 3 RepliesHeadlight bulbs. So I am looking to replace my bulbs because mine don't seem to have that great of light output. I am not sure if it is the actual headlight or if it is just the bulbs? Is it possible to just replace the bulbs and get better light output? I am not sure of the brand of headlights I have but I am pretty sure they are some cheap aftermarket ebay headlights. I want to replace the headlights in the future but for now I was wondering if I can get away with just replacing the bulbs. When selecting the bulbs, are they all pretty much universal or do I have to buy specifically for the type of headlights I have?

how to replace the bulbs in a 2010-2013 Toyota Corolla I am finding older Corollas but not 2013. I did tear apart the dash but it look like they are now a self contained unit.
View 3 RepliesPast couple of days I've had a warning pop up for "Check lights" sometimes even before i have turned them on although I do have arrive depart set to activate. On looking around all seem to be OK apart from maybe 2 leds within the tail lights. It does seem to go out within a couple of mins of actually setting off as well so clearly somethings sorting itself out.... What to check next? they seem to be working fine, I can see them autolevel when I pull up behind a car and the car settles on its suspension etc.
View 6 RepliesLast weekend, while i was replacing a brake light bulb on my daughters car (!) , i had to use my car to get the bulb from the local store and guess what my "check lights" warning came on and since then a broken light bulb is showing on the left side of the center display and it does not go away anymore.
I have now at least checked every (visible) light bulb on the car twice and I can not find any bad one. Yesterday I checked the fuses and again all are fine.
Looking through the owners handbook (section 3 and 4), i can not even find any mentioning of the "bad light bulb" symbol.
So, here are my questions:
Is the orange (turnsignal) bar under the headlights used for anything else ?
I thought it would look much cooler if the front turning signal light bulbs are LED bulbs. So I bought two, took the original bulbs out and put the LED ones in. It fitted perfectly but they do not light up. Don't exactly know why but I believe it's because the poles are reversed. Is there anyway to get it working?

View 6 RepliesMy 05 Phaeton 4 seater was wrecked a while back and everything has been replaced except my local body shop can not get the steering wheel off to replace the clockspring/airbag. Is there a trick in getting it off and or what exactly has to come off to replace these 2 things. My body shop thinks that it might all be one piece but I thought that most are held on by one large bolt. I also need to know exactly where my airbag module is located as well.
View 1 RepliesThe information screen is out on my '04 instrument cluster, and I hear that I have to replace the whole cluster. Can I replace it with a used cluster, or does it have to be new. The dealer is telling me that it needs to be new in order to do the reprogramming of the keys, etc.
View 5 RepliesI tried to convert the bulbs in my dashboard with LED bulbs..and it worked for about a month and stop working..then about a week after not having any dash lights. They came back on...but like a strobe, but not all the time..... And then it'll be fine? I'm also looking Into doing a taillight conversion to LEDs.
