When I am at a full stop, such as waiting at a stoplight, and I press hard on the brake pedal, the stability control light flashes on the instrument panel.
View 6 RepliesRecently while trying to start my Yukon, my control panel doesn't come on. After the vehicle warms up and I attempt to shut it down and restart the vehicle several times. It comes back on. Also, the light on the shift selector indicator is out. My gas light for low gas, and the ABS light flashes on and off simultaneously . But this goes away after I get the control panel to start working again. The vehicle is running and sounds fine.
View 1 RepliesI've had a base model 07 Santa Fe for 4 yrs and I know darned well that the when the car is running, even with headlights off (as in daytime), that the gauges in the instrument panel light up, and the brightness can be controlled by rolling the dimmer switch (reostat) up or down. Now that it isn't working, after dealer replaced something nearby on a recall, they're trying to tell me that the gauges only light up when the parking or headlights are turned on.

View 19 RepliesYesterday, my vehicle stability control light came on along with the ABS symbol. I stopped the car and turned it back on and the car would not come out of Park.
I restarted the car and was able to shift into drive but, both symbols remained and the MFD showed no regenerative braking and the brakes were clearly mechanical only by sound and feel.
I think I took a rather short trip with the parking brake partially engaged, I was talking to my son who was home for the weekend.
I set and released it several times with no results. I finally parked the car, set the brake and checked for codes in my Scangauge-none. But, I did a "clear codes" anyhow.
I've only driven home yesterday and this morning to work. So far, nothing unusual, I have my fingers and stubby little toes crossed.
My instrument panel glass stays fogged up for weeks after a rain. Shouldn't the dealer fix this with after only 14 months and under 3,000 miles ?
View 1 RepliesThere’s a problem with my climate-control system. When I turn the fan on, there is no air blowing through the outlets on the instrument-panel. (There is air blowing thru the 2 vents immediately above the floor, and some air blowing at the base of the windshield). This problem exists regardless of what speed I turn the fan on, and regardless of which climate-control setting I choose (or whether I turn on the A/C).
This problem WAS occurring on an intermittent basis, and seemed to develop in RESPONSE TO my turning the knob to “defrost.” Now, however, the problem seems to be permanent. I wonder whether the basic problem is with the round knob that controls the various climate-control settings, as this knob seems somewhat hard to turn.
I have a 2004 Buick Century sedan, with automatic transmission (4speed) w/overdrive, V-6 engine 3.1 L.
About 2 months ago ('06 Prius - 386K) 12v battery was replaced - red triangle disappeared and everything has been fine. ( I have driven the car about 7K since replacement).
Now on my 2800 mile trip, the following is happening. With Cruise Control on and functioning - freeway traffic comes to an almost halt (5-8 mph) after traffic picks up Cruise Control light on dash is flashing and will not function. (Pull over and re-boot the Win95 machine - and everything is back to working until next slow down).
I am now driving on a service road to my hotel at approx. 25mph and as I go over every patch in the asphalt my Traction Control light comes on and then off and it makes the car act like it is on ice ( and yes the Cruise Control light is back to flashing).
On my journey on this 5 miles of access road then my stereo volume starts going up and down all on its own. If I try turning the volume knob nothing happens. I push the knob in and then push on the knob to come back out and then the volume knob works and then the volume control on the steering wheel starts to work as well.
How to remove the window control panel on your door panel on a 2010 prius? I'm not looking to remove the whole door panel I just want to take the little panel that has the 4 window controls off.
View 3 Replies'13 Sonata GLS w/ 4100 miles - when snow was on the ground 4 days ago, the ESC symbol would occasional flash indicating loss of traction (I was sort of pushing it around some corners for fun) and it seemed to correct throttle, etc. - everything working as it should.
Then yesterday on the commute home with nothing on the ground the light came on and stayed on while driving local & highway. This morning's start-up it was gone. Commute home and it came on again 5 minutes into the drive. But again another restart the light doesn't stay on.
I tried reading codes with an OBD scanner but it says NO CODE - the light is currently off, but was hoping it stored something. Manual says possible ESC malfunction if the light stays on, but it's been erratic.
Need to know of an issue that causes the stability control light to come on for no apparent reason? I took it to Ford, they said no codes found and they replaced an ABS sensor, less than 5 miles after leaving, sitting in stop and go slow moving traffic it comes on again. I've been taking pictures to show them the randomness of this and they said they would look at it again.
Some mornings it comes on the when I leave and stays on and may be on after I get in after work (before I even move out of the parking spot), some days it's only in the morning and not on after work, some days it's on after work, some days it's not on at all but that has been rare that I don't see it at least once during the day, just seems odd and random so I suspect an issue.
2004 Passat GLS 1.8t 5 spd. This started last week. It is very inconsistent, but I seem to have it happen more when it's cold out. Sometimes I am coming to a stop, just leaving from one or could be doing 30-60 mph - truly no rhyme or reason. Anyway, the brake warning light flashes, the cluster beeps loudly 3 times and it says STOP on the instrument screen. It then changes to "brake fault" and then "service manual". After that cycle, everything goes away and it usually won't do it again. One time I had it do it 3 times back to back. Brakes work fine. I have good pad depth. Fluid looks like I should flush it, but level is fine. I scanned w VAG-COM and found no faults.

The instrument panel in my 2002 Hyundai Accent GSI quit working. I pulled the cluster and both bulbs were working (replaced them anyway). All lights and fuses work, including the dimmer. All I can see at night is the speedometer reading, lit by these two bulbs.
There are two holes, covered over, for two other bulbs. They were never installed! Hyundai dealer has no idea on what could be wrong. I can't see how the white part could have been backlit without these two bulbs. Doesn't make sense.
I have problems with my SF 2002. When i turn on my headlights, the instruments panel (odometer, shifts indicator and others) has no lights. Turning off them, the shift indicator lights again.
I have notice that when days ago, i have changed my radio the problem began. Maybe the problem is related with this.
I have a 2007 sonata gls with 2.4l engine. The airbag light on instrument panel stays on. A code b1102 has been stored. The code description is low voltage. I've been told its a bad srs module under center console.
View 2 RepliesA few weeks ago the dash panel brake light would light up when I made right turns. After the car finished turning and went straight forward the light would stay on for 2 or 3 seconds, then flicker and finally go off. This would happen when my foot was not touching the brake pedal. Now the brake light comes on occasionally when the car is going straight forward and sometimes when I apply the brakes. I do not see any signs of bake fluid leakage. The brakes are working properly and show no signs of diminished effectiveness. What could be the problem? 2000 Ford Focus Se DOHC.....
View 5 RepliesNoticed the lights on instrument panel dimming as you accelerate? I'm talking about the very top of the instrument panel located above the speedometer. I'm driving home from work last night and as I accelerate I notice the blue tint light at the top of the instrument panel dims... let off the accelerator and the light brightens back up... switched the car over to "sport" and give it the gas... light remains constant, no dimming what so ever... switched back to "normal".. give it a little gas and the blue light at the top of the panel dims.... car seems to be running absolutely fine, no issues that I'm aware of... but I've never noticed this before.... and curious as to why it only dims when the car is in " normal ", but not when it's in "sport" mode and the light on the dash is red....

I was driving home and heard a loud rat tat tat tat . I thought I might have run over something. I slowed down and the noise quit, pulled over, checked things out, nothing apparent. I was only a couple miles from home so Started driving again and the ABS light came on, then went off. Another indicator came on and went off... then the entire instrument cluster died except for the airbag light, no tach, speedo. Truck still drove fine. I stopped in the driveway shut her off and then tried to restart...no go. Kind of like a dead battery, tried to turn over.
Had a few things to take care of b4 getting back to the truck. Went out and I hear a continuous click, click, click back by the fuel cap (fuel pump)? ......but the truck is OFF no key in ignition. I disconnected the battery and the noise quit. Battery is showing 12 volts. I stuck the charger on. These symptoms sound like anything even possible???????
