So what's the deal with the channel limitation on the SirusXM radio in the PIP. It seems it can only access channel numbers up to 222 and I see no way to enter or access channel numbers in the 300's and 500's. Am I missing something or are the radios crippled?

It seems that in "Accessory" mode the PIP is using only the dinky 12V battery so this is not a healthy solution. Is there a recommended strategy to put the car in semi-ready mode and reduce all possible drain so that utilizing the 12V will not be draining the traction battery reserves much at all?
I'm thinking that perhaps trying to put the car in "ready" mode with the FOOT OFF the brake indeed fires up access to the traction battery without firing up other things that require the full power monty that Ready mode with the FOOT ON the brake requires. Seems to me the PIP is a great mobile office solution if we could gain access to traction battery reserves without running much else.
I have a 2012 F250 with Sirius radion in the non navigation radio. I want it to default to stay on the song vs the channel name. Is there any way to do this?
View 1 RepliesI noticed since day one that my 2014 PiP radio is more static than my 2006 Prius. I also noticed that when I started moving in ev only, the radio volume level would drop. Well, I never really thought about it why till I got LED headlights. Now, the static is worst due to RF interference from the LED. So, it looks like there were more interference due to the ev electrical system. With the LED headlight, it made it worst. I have put a choke on the leads of the headlight, but it does nothing.

View 9 RepliesI'm experiencing issues with the radio when I change from AM to FM. If on AM mode and I go to audio button or on Steering Switches and push FM, it switches to FM reception (get the radio station on FM) however read out on the screen still says AM and all the presets are in AM mode.
On the reverse from FM to AM same occurs.
Is this a software issue?
So, I've owned the PiP for 10 days and 140 miles, and this is the first car I've ever owned with built-in navigation (TomTom and Garmin have served me quite well previously). One of the benefits of built-in nav should be the integration of the voice guidance with the audio system. Yet on my PiP, the system does not mute the radio when the voice guidance announces a turn. Am I missing something? Is there a hidden setting? I've searched the manuals fruitlessly so far.
View 1 RepliesMy XM radio is stuck on channel 1, and won't change. It was stuck on a different channel initially and I unplugged the battery and all it did was make the radio stuck on channel 1 now. I talked to sirius and they told me to take to dealership because their reset wouldn't work. Haow to fix it?

Recently I have been getting an intermittent problem with my audio system where all radio channels are getting interference, then after a short, random amount of time, the audio system switches itself off and ejects one of the 6 CDs. If I turn it on again, it turns off (again after a random amount of time) and ejects another of the remaining CDs.
This problem is not constant, and happens maybe once or twice a week and does not stop until the car has been at rest for a little while.
I have a 2012 GLS and on the way to work this evening I noticed that the volume/channel buttons on the steering wheel for the radio will not work. The mode button still works properly, so I attempted to change the radio station on the radio itself to no avail. No buttons other than the volume work on the radio as well.
View 11 RepliesAfter my 25k service it seems the timer scheduler when the square button is pressed/held flashes at 7am. When i press the H button the hour advances to 12am then closes. I want to start the charge at 12am and finish at 5AM. The timer windows closes when i move the finish hour to 12am and then my regular clock hour changes. It used to be when i pressed/held the timer button the start time would show at 12 am and after setting it would go to the finish hour.

I am looking for the menu that used to allow users to be able to Override the navigation. I have had a ton of other navigation, both factory & aftermarket, & don't like having to stop to enter a destination.
How to access this menu & whether or not it still allows for the Override option that it once did?
Installed an aftermarket stereo but having problems with the steering wheel controls adapter I purchased and need to remove the radio to access the settings on the adapter. The kit I used to install the radio states that once the radio is snapped in place with the kit, the dash bezel must be removed to access the radio. I googled and I cannot find instructions on how this piece come off.
View 11 RepliesI am about to finish up my graduate studies here in Ohio, after which, my wife and I will be headed back to California. We are in desperate need of a second car, but have decided to wait until we move to get one. My wonderful in laws have said that they are willing to split the cost of a new car with us. With that said, we have already decided that we want to get a Prius, but we can't decide which one. We both really like the V. We love how roomy the car is. This is very important to us because we are going to start a family soon. However, we also like the regular Prius and the PiP. I really like the PiP but am a little concerned about the new batteries, and I am not sure that I want to pay the early adapter premium assuming one is even available. But, only paying half for a PiP sounds rather tempting. Considering all that I just said, if you were in my shoes what car would you get and why?

View 2 RepliesNew to the Prius family. Bought a 2014 PIP advanced last week strictly as an economic play. Am noob when it comes to driving techniques, currently average 72 mpg on 90 mi. trips with one charge, so doing better than I expected. I did read up on the Pulse and Glide techniques for the standard Prius and the 'verification' of the glide portion for those is the lack of any power arrows emanating from either the ICS , MG2 or battery on the MID. I have been unable to replicate this on the PIP. In other words, when I am 'gliding' on my PIP, the ICS is off but there always seems to be a green charge indicator flowing back to the batteries from the front wheels.
Keep in mind, my foot is on the accelerator slightly, there is no 'white' bar protruding into the CHG area or the ECO area and I know I am 'gliding/coasting' as no matter how long I am in this sweet spot, even though the charge arrows are active, I DO NOT top up the battery at all, which says to me the car is indeed 'gliding' without the regenerative brakes or ICS in play and it certainly FEELS like I'm gliding as with over-inflated tires (44/42) the PIP seemingly coasts forever. I'm thinking this is a different behavior from a standard Prius in this 'glide' sweet spot, as, at least on my PIP, I can never get the MID to blank out in terms of energy flow. I.E. have you managed a 'pulse and glide' in a PIP getting the all energy flow arrows to disappear .
I am thinking of upgrading to a pip. I work in my car and was wondering if I plug it in can I still have the a/c running while it is plugged in or not? i read somewhere that if you turn the car into ready mode the systems won't allow it.

View 11 RepliesNew car. I think I could toggle between EV (green light) and HV (red light). Now instead of HV the car does switch between EV and EV/ECO. Am I doing something wrong. I want to avoid a trip to the dealer.
View 4 RepliesWhen I get in to go somewhere in the morning sometimes the EV sign in the car is lit up and sometimes it is just the silhouette of the car on the right side. I know I am driving in Ev and it says Ev in the light on the left side but why the difference. Am I making any sense??
