Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: 2010 - XM Radio Says No Connection

Jun 13, 2014

So it worked fine, then one day I get in and start it up and I get a "no connection" message. I can change back and forth between XM 1 2 & 3. But I cannot change stations or even scroll to my radio ID.

Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2015 - Connection Between Sat Radio And Navigation?

I have a new 2015 Prius 4 and have the 3-month trial of SiriusXM radio. I need to understand what functions would go away if I let the subscription expire. If I navigate to a destination, I get audible real-time traffic updates for the selected route. Is that from the satellite? If I am driving without a destination set, there are areas of congestion shown on the navigation screen. Satellite? Anything else?

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: Radio Resets After Turning Car Off

I am having a problem with the stock radio resetting itself after turning off the car.

Just recently had to replace the battery which was not an issue. After the new battery was installed I set the clock, cabin temp, and radio stations. Came back to the car later, turned it on and noticed the radio was off. Hit the power button and it came on with the default stations, volume settings, etc. This happens every time the car is turned off and left for more than a few minutes. What's odd the clock and temperature controls DO keep their settings. It's only the radio that's the problem and resets back to it's defaults.

How to correct this?

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: Radio Stalled By Bluetooth Pairing

My 2010 Santa Fe came with the GPS, backup camera, satellite bluetooth capable head unit. It started acting up after being parked for 4 months. I noticed a delay in the display response to a setting change. Change an FM station preset and it would take the head unit 20-30 secs to show that change.

Did everything suggested, reset unit several times nothing worked until I de-paired all bluetooth devices. Now it works great.

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: Radio And Front Defroster Turn Themselves On

I recently bought a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe from a rental company. So far the only problem is that the radio and front defroster sometimes turn themselves on. Just today we were driving and the radio came on. Then later when accelerating it seemed sluggish, and I noticed the front defroster was on. I turned it off, and a few minutes later it came on again. It happened about 5 times while on the same 5 mile trip. Will be taking it to the local dealer/service center after holiday weekend.

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: 2011 - Factory Radio Turns Itself Off

I've been having trouble with the stock radio in my 2011 SF. It randomly turns off, then turns back on by itself, 5 to 10 minutes later. It comes back on in whatever mode/ station it was on when it turned off. I've pressed every button, tried to insert a cd, and tried the steering wheel buttons. The USB power goes off too.

The station memories stay, so I don't think it's a power issue, at least at the fuse level. The battery is fairly new. I've cleaned the fuse and both ends of both ground wires in the engine bay. When I cleaned the fuse, I lost station memories, is there two fuses for the radio, perhaps? Or does the memory power and radio power split after the fuse box?

have a GPS and don't use Sirius/XM anymore. I've read part of the radio/ nav system sticky, wow, is it long.

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: Radio, Clock And Dome Light Stayed On

I have a weird situation with my sf. I start the car normally put in gear then back to park and have radio on and when shutting the car off and removing the key from the ignition. Normally everything goes out and doors unlock, But the radio, clock and dome light stayed on even with the door opened for about 10 to 15 seconds. Then it shuts off completely and unlocks the doors as usual. Did unplug the battery for 1 minute to see if the BCM could be reset and restarted with no avail it keeps acting up. The only thing that I did yesterday was to install the front left rail cover which required some fiddling with the headliner and its dome and vanity lights.

Camry :: 2007 - Just Died With No Electrical Connection

2 days ago my mother borrowed my 2007 camry. When she brought it back a few hours later it sounded really loud (almost like a car without a muffler). Without getting a lot of details I find out she was driving it all afternoon in 3rd (it is an automatic). It was a mix of highway and regular roads

Today I drove it to work (mostly freeway) and as I exited a bunch of panel lights lit up and the internal panel lights were flashing (like the battery was dying). I noticed the clock on the radio was not on. I turned the car off and it would not come back on... it would not even turn over. I had someone jump it a few times and it would start, but electrical would flash and it would just die. I had it towed to my autoshop, but was curious if driving it in 3rd cause it? I am pretty sure it is not the battery and that was replaced within the last few years.

Prius (Gen 2) :: 2007 - Air / Fuel Ratio Sensor Connection Broken

I have been debugging DTC codes 2237/2238 and what sounds like detonation in a failed catalytic converter in my old 2007 Prius (375,000 miles!), I just removed the wipers and cowl yesterday to look at the air/fuel ratio sensor connection, and my connector appears to be melted somewhat, sides of the connector show signs of melting I am guessing that there is a connection problem stemming from this and the root cause of my DTC codes.

Can the four wires each side be removed so I can get the connector out to look at it carefully?

Can the bad connector be removed and the four wires be simply spliced together to get the air/fuel sensor working again? I did note that the colors of the wires going in are NOT the same as the colors of the wires going out.

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: 2010 - How To Disable The AWD

I have a 2010 Santa Fe AWD which I suspect the AWD is failing. This is my 3rd viscous coupler (2 previous replacements under warranty). I am now out of warranty and am not willing to replace it again because I am sure it will fail.

I remember a tech had disabled my AWD in the past while waiting for a part to arrive. How to disable the AWD? I do remember it was from underneath the vehicle.

The reason I want to disable it is because it is intermittently delivering power to the rear wheels and it bucks and kicks when accelerating.

Prius (2010-12) :: Passenger Side LED Door Sill Connection

I connected the driver's side LED door sill without a problem by following the video instructions. However, there were no instructions for the passenger side. So, I guessed that I would t-tap the two top wires. The LED's do not light up. Now on second view, the top cable that I t-tap'ed looks more black than blue. I should have done this in the light. So...

1) What are the correct wires to t-tap for the passenger side?
2) Did I damage anything if I t-tap'ed the wrong cable and I then remove the t-tap?

Prius (2010-12) :: Key Not Detected Signals - Loose Connection To Battery?

I changed the battery in my key fob recently. Since then the car has randomly given me "key not detected" signals. At these times, the door lock/unlock buttons don't work either.

When it does, I open it and push the battery around, trying to make it connect, close the fob back up, and it works for some apparently random amount of time. So my best guess it that there's a loose connection to the battery.

If so, have you found a cure, such as the right place to wedge in something small to make the connection secure? Anything else?
