My 2011 santa fe radio turn off by it self and come back on when ever he want. It start this 2 weeks ago, some day everything work fine, and other days is doing this. What the problem is? Its the basic radio not the infinity.
View 4 RepliesI am having a problem with the stock radio resetting itself after turning off the car.
Just recently had to replace the battery which was not an issue. After the new battery was installed I set the clock, cabin temp, and radio stations. Came back to the car later, turned it on and noticed the radio was off. Hit the power button and it came on with the default stations, volume settings, etc. This happens every time the car is turned off and left for more than a few minutes. What's odd the clock and temperature controls DO keep their settings. It's only the radio that's the problem and resets back to it's defaults.
How to correct this?
As I'm driving my 2007 Santa Fe with the A/C turned on, it will randomly turn off. I'll try to push the button to turn it back on and it won't turn back on, I wait try it again and eventually it turns back on. There are times when I'm driving without the A/C on and it kicks on by itself. After about 3months of this weird on and off, my A/C now will NOT turn on. The other day my friend gave the glove compartment a kick and it miraculously turned on. There was even an instance where I was driving over bumps in the street and my A/C finally kicked on and even when I've hit the brake hard it's turned on. I want to get this fixed but do not have the cash right now to take it to a mechanic or the dealership. Would this have something to do with the compressor? Is it electronic?
View 3 RepliesExperienced the radio turning on and off for no reason. It does not matter what mode it is on the radio will shut off completely and turn back on a few seconds later. What is the cause and what was done to solve the problem. Btw it is not a Mark Levinson.
View 2 RepliesToday as I was driving on the freeway my radio randomly shut down and turned back on. it was a complete power down as if I was turning the car on. I believe I seen the dash also do a system check. I also think I felt the power steering turn on and off for a split second. very odd. I almost feel the entire car shut down for a split second.

View 3 RepliesMy 2010 Santa Fe came with the GPS, backup camera, satellite bluetooth capable head unit. It started acting up after being parked for 4 months. I noticed a delay in the display response to a setting change. Change an FM station preset and it would take the head unit 20-30 secs to show that change.
Did everything suggested, reset unit several times nothing worked until I de-paired all bluetooth devices. Now it works great.
I recently bought a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe from a rental company. So far the only problem is that the radio and front defroster sometimes turn themselves on. Just today we were driving and the radio came on. Then later when accelerating it seemed sluggish, and I noticed the front defroster was on. I turned it off, and a few minutes later it came on again. It happened about 5 times while on the same 5 mile trip. Will be taking it to the local dealer/service center after holiday weekend.
View 1 RepliesI've been having trouble with the stock radio in my 2011 SF. It randomly turns off, then turns back on by itself, 5 to 10 minutes later. It comes back on in whatever mode/ station it was on when it turned off. I've pressed every button, tried to insert a cd, and tried the steering wheel buttons. The USB power goes off too.
The station memories stay, so I don't think it's a power issue, at least at the fuse level. The battery is fairly new. I've cleaned the fuse and both ends of both ground wires in the engine bay. When I cleaned the fuse, I lost station memories, is there two fuses for the radio, perhaps? Or does the memory power and radio power split after the fuse box?
have a GPS and don't use Sirius/XM anymore. I've read part of the radio/ nav system sticky, wow, is it long.
I have a 2007 Santa Fe. My air conditioner keeps turning on by itself. I press it to turn off, but keeps turning on. I do this several times before it stays off. Then after 10 - 15 minutes, it turns back on. Is this a relay problem or a button problem?
View 11 RepliesI have a weird situation with my sf. I start the car normally put in gear then back to park and have radio on and when shutting the car off and removing the key from the ignition. Normally everything goes out and doors unlock, But the radio, clock and dome light stayed on even with the door opened for about 10 to 15 seconds. Then it shuts off completely and unlocks the doors as usual. Did unplug the battery for 1 minute to see if the BCM could be reset and restarted with no avail it keeps acting up. The only thing that I did yesterday was to install the front left rail cover which required some fiddling with the headliner and its dome and vanity lights.

was in stop and go traffic, stopped and the car just turned off! No shaking or anything. Turned back on (so its not the battery, and YES it had plenty of gas), went about 100 ft and turned off again! Took into the dealer, they won't have an answer until Monday.
I have a metal sounding rattle coming from the back of the vehicle. It sounds like it is coming from the hatch area. I removed all loose things (jack) and the noise is still there.
I checked the license plate and put foam behind it, I wrapped the latch with a layer of tape. The noise seems a bit better but still there when on rough roads.
I have a 2007 Santa Fe GLS. I took both LCA's out and replaced the bushings and the ball joints with Hyundai original parts.
I installed the bushing ends of the LCA, put the bolts thru both bushings, and then tried to insert the ball joint into the knuckle. No go! It goes in about a 1/4 inch.
How do you get the ball joint end to go all the way up, inside the knuckle? I am thinking of pounding the heck out of it till it goes in, but not sure.
I've disconnected the outer tie rods, and the links to allow for some play in the knuckle, I just don't know what I am doing wrong.
We have a 2007 Santa Fe with 78,000 miles.
It's recently developed an issue where it has cut off on two different occasions within the past 2 weeks.
My wife said both times happened as she was slowing down and it felt like she was losing power. The vehicle cut off and then cranked right back up.
I've taken it to my personal mechanic as well as the dealership for diagnostic tests and neither were able to replicate the issue or find the problem.
Just talked to a good friend with a 2008 limited, V6. While his wife was driving the throttle went full, then back to idle, then full while her foot was off the pedal. She put it in neutral got to the side of the road and turned it off. She just had towed to the nearest dealer. She said the dealer suspects the Throttle Position Sensor....seems to be a common problem for Hyundai, based on other issues seen on this forum with some losing power, etc. Surprised there isn't more information from Hyundai as the TPS seems to be a weak point.
View 15 RepliesI have a 2007 Santa Fe, I have been having issues with the power. I tap the brakes and the lights go dim and come back on. Then when the truck is turned off then back on I have nothing like the truck is dead. I replaced the battery and still same issue. I then replaced the alternator and I thought it was good. Just today I decided the use the keyless remote to lock the truck and it locked but not horn sound. I tried to unlock the truck with the remote and nothing. I opened the door and no lights. Turn the key and nothing. The battery still has power to hit. What it could be?
