Santa Fe (DM - 2013+) :: 2017 - Adaptive Cruise Control Click From Brake Pedal

Jun 16, 2016

My previous cars with adaptive cruise control didn't do this, but when the vehicle brakes itself, there is a very loud click. I'm assuming it's normal operation, but figured I'd ask here anyways.

Golf/GTI VII :: Adaptive Cruise Control In Driver Assistance Package?

Just as the title says, is there any word on getting Adaptive Cruise with the Driver Assistance package? In all the literature I've seen the DA pack for US models only confirm collision warnings and rear parking sensors.

Phaeton :: 2004 - Adaptive Cruise Control Causes Limp Home Mode

I am one of the few that has ADC on my 2004 V10.

Occasionally, 3 times now. I press the ON button and the cruise control does not initialize properly. After a while it will say "Temporarily unavailable" . The problem is that then there is no power any more.

I stop on the hard shoulder of the motorway, engine off, engine on and all is reset, ADC works ok and full power is restored.

Passat (B6) :: Debadged Grill Install - Adaptive Cruise Control / Park Assist?

Just installed a debadged grill on my 08 Passat VR6 from ECS tuning. I didn't realize that the radar for the adaptive cruise was right behind the VW emblem on the original grill. The ACC still works but not like it should...seems like it works normally sometime and sometimes doesn't. Any solution besides putting the old grill back on??? I wouldn't think the few spokes in the badgeless one would affect the radar since the emblem used to be in front of it. My Park Assist sensors are not functioning properly either but I think I can resolve that issue by adjusting there location a bit...

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: Wheezing Noise And Then A Click After Depressing Brake Pedal

I have a 2010 Santa Fe w/ ~25,000km. Yesterday, I noticed that after depressing the brake pedal (while driving) i hear a wheezing noise and then a click right before i come to a complete stop. When i am stationary, and i depress the break pedal, i hear the clicking noise but no wheezing sound.

I just took it into service today and even drove around the lot with one of the service techs and he says its normal. That the clicking noise is coming from the shifter release. I don't believe i heard this sound when i bought it, nor any other time till yesterday. The sound is driving me crazy! This cant be normal .... can it?

Santa Fe (DM - 2013+) :: 2017 - No Illumination On Dash

I hope I'm just missing a switch (and I did check the owner's manual but found nothing). Picked up a 2017 Santa Fe 2.0T SE AWD today. Traded in my 2013 2.0T AWD which I drove for 148,000 kms without a single problem. Not the case so far with the newbie. Took it out tonight and although I had the dash brightness set to max all that was lit up was the touchscreen radio/phone screen and the screen where the temperature displays. No buttons were lit up like they would have been in the 2013 or like they are in my daughter's Elantra GLS. Is there a setting or switch I need to adjust? Or is it more likely a fuse? Or even a wiring/sensor issue?

Ford Excursion :: Cruise Control Cuts Out When Brake Pedal Is Depressed

Why is there a sensor on the brake master cylinder? Most other cars and trucks I've seen have tied the cruise control into the brake light (and clutch interlock if Manual transmission.) switch so that when the pedal is depressed, the cruise control cuts out.

In the Ex, could I tap the brake pedal enough that the brake lights come on yet I don't trigger the pressure sensor in the master cylinder to cut the cruise control?

Santa Fe (DM - 2013+) :: 2017 - Shift Too Fasts To 6th (in ECO Mode)?

My SF Sport, Eco mode loves to shift up to 6th as fast as possible. I understand that is to give me the best possible fuel efficiency. However, when I happen to be cruising at 70 kmh, the RPM is roughly around 1350 and feels very sluggish - almost like it's too low. I will often shift down to 5th manually at which point, it "sounds" right and the sluggishness goes away. Is there a mechanism to reprogram the gears (my Hyundai dealer?)

Santa Fe (DM - 2013+) :: Hangs In Fourth Gear After Downshifting With Cruise Control On

Got our 2014 back in March and it still hangs in fourth gear after downshifting with the cruise on. Downshifting from 6th to 5th for small hills is fine but on steeper hills when it drops to 4th and hangs in there uncomfortably long.

What I've been doing is switching over to manual and bumping it up to 5th and then 6th. When I don't, it will hang in 4th and rev high and then eventually shift into 5th and 6th one right after the other long after the road has leveled out..

Santa Fe (DM - 2013+) :: 2017 - Passenger Door Wouldn't Lock Correctly With Key Fob

Picked up my new sport today and when I got home I noticed the vehicle wouldn't lock correctly with the key fob. After messing around for a few here's what I found. It's the passenger door. If the passenger door is shut the key fob and lock/unlock switch will not lock and unlock the door. I can only unlock the door manually.

Now, if the passenger door is open the key fob and lock/unlock switch will lock and unlock the door. All other doors work as expected.

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: Cruise Control Not Working - Brake Light Fuse Blown

I have to press Cancel before I can get my cruise control to work. I had a problem about a year ago where my cruise control wasn't working, and found out that a blown brake light fuse was the problem. Now I turn my CC on and the "Cruise" light comes on, I then press the set button, and nothing. I then press the cancel button and then the set button and then the "Set" light comes on.

Santa Fe (DM - 2013+) :: 2017 - Cannot Lock Doors When Engine Running / Beep Noise Every 5 Seconds

Winter is coming and I often leave the car running in the morning when stopping a few minutes to drop off the kids, etc. (otherwise it all fogs up and I need to wait a few minutes again before I can leave).

Issue is, when the santa fe engine is running, if I close the door, the car beeps for like 5 seconds, every time I close a door. (Close my door, beepppp, get the kid, beeeeeepppppp, get the bag, beeeepppppppppp) and then, I cant lock the doors so I have to leave the car unlocked after it has beeped 3x 5 seconds to alert anyone around that the doors are unlocked and that it's still running.

Hyundai is supposed to install my remote starter next week, which at least will fix the issue of being unable to leave the car running with the doors locked, but the beeping all the time is REALLY ANNOYING. I KNOW THAT MY CAR IS STILL RUNNING. Dealer is telling me they cant disable the beep.

Santa Fe (DM - 2013+) :: 2017 - Front And Rear Driver Side Doors Retained Water After Rain / Snow

Purchased a 2017 santa fe sport limited back in april 2016.

It's been great but since day one the front and rear driver side doors have retained water after rain/snow.

When I open the doors, water just gushes out from the door panel holes along the door, and it's now become an issue because of winter.

The water freezes and door become hard to open, as well as the added weight to the door and condensation that may end up rusting parts...

My dealer took the car for 3 days and took it apart, but said they couldn't find out why water is being retained, and only released when I open the doors...

I'm not too sure what to do, Hyundai Canada denies the issue, and I do have lots of video footage and frozen pictures...

I have an 02 f150 5.4 and since I got it it hasn't had cruse control. I went to a local ford dealership and they ran the vin and didn't find any recall on it. Under the hood on the master cylinder there is brake fluid coming out of the brake control switch. Would I have to do something with the harness too?

Subaru - Outback :: 2010 - Brake Warning / Traction Control / Cruise Control / Check Engine Light Came On?

My 2010 Subaru Outback recently surprised the hell out of me by simultaneously turning on the brake warning light, the traction control light, the check engine light and (just for a bonus!) disabled my cruise control while flashing the cruise control light. I pulled over, quickly surmising that all of those systems could not have failed at 70 MPH without instantaneous death to either me or the vehicle. Both apparently still being alive, I tried turning the car on an off to reset the lights. No go. Subaru was not going to miss this chance to get me to the dealership! (who I had avoided to this point!) As I was far away from home and the car being very healthy, it seemed, I decided to drive on. I proceeded to put a couple of hundred more miles on the car before I got back to town.

My car had 39,000 miles on it, 3,000 miles beyond the warranty end. I learned that I have an error code of P0171, "Fuel Trim Malfunction (Air/Fuel too lean)". So I guess I'm wondering about a few things...why would this sensor set off every light on my dashboard and disable my cruise control? Seems a bit overblown for running a bit lean. My gut tells me Subaru has a sensor/software problem they are not owning up to. I'm a big fan of conspiracy theories and this really smells like one...

Second, jeez, I'm only 3K miles over warranty, don't you think they'd cut me some slack. I mean I love my Subaru, or did anyway, until this happened. Now it's just another POS car that breaks for no apparent reason...

Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2004 F450 - Loud Click Almost A Bang When Cruise Control Shut Off

I've got a 2004 F450 that I'm loving, but suddenly having an issue getting it into gear. To get it out of park and into another gear I've got to turn the key a little father towards start (somewhere in between normal after start position and actually engaging the starter) and then the column shifter will actually let me get out of park and into another gear. Once I've done this there is no problem moving between gears. Last, this has to be related since it started at the same time - when I'm in cruise control it takes a greater amount of force on the brake to get the cruise control to shut off. When it finally does, it makes a loud click, almost a bang. If I only lightly push on the brake it won't kick off the cruise control and the engine will increase power to keep the speed and fight me on the brake.
